It wasn't often that the stallion could be found standing still. No, nine times out of ten others would come upon him as he was racing because freedom, as far as he was concerned, was his middle name. Remy Freedom LeB---
Perhaps freedom wasn't truly his middle name afterall. Not when it sounded so idiotic when put together... Kinda like some other Soq that he'd met who had three names. He'd stick with two. Two was more than enough for him. His tail flickered against his flanks as he stood close to the lake, the tip of his muzzle touching the surface of the water. He was nose to nose with himself, so it seemed, burning embers reflecting in the dark surface of the evening waters. Only in this way could fire ever be so close to water without extinguishing... And nothing would ever drag him down.

Her hoves sent ripples out across the water as she stepped into the cool water. The day was warm and the water was a welcome respite. Leaning her head down she wet her muzzle before stretching her neck.
Letting her tail dip into the water she flicked it around her sides and huffed happily as the water hit her. Dipping her head down once more she took a drink and savored the cold.
Maybe this place wouldnt be so bad. It wasnt all that hot and so far there hadnt been anything to get in her way.

His ears flickered towards the sound of movement in the water but his head didn't move... He didn't even raise his eyes from his reflection. This part of the lake was his territory... Well, it was his as well as it was that of the two-legged female who made home not far off. From time to time he still felt her eyes upon him... But not tonight.
His nostrils flared slightly as he let his eyes close, trying to catch the scent of whatever it was that had made the noise. It couldn't have been his petite chere... He would've made note of her presence before she even made a sound. This? This was something... Someone... New. Someone female.
Ember eyes blazed a bit brighter as they opened, peering up over the tip of his long muzzle, trying to catch sight of the ellusive creature he'd now scented.

She was oblivious to the male near her. He was in the wrong direction and she was too busy cooling herself off after a nice run across the plains. The world was free and she was free and the day was hers.
Tail flicking in the water once more she carefuly picked a track though the water. The light splashes tickled her ears as she moved. There hadnt been this much water where she had come from so she was going to enjoy it while she could.

Now, there were two possible options sitting before him. He could continue watching this delightful display of beauty without saying so much as a word... Or he could interrupt and quite possibly frighten her off.
Out of his two options, one was less 'wrong' than the other. It was wrong to watch someone so freely displaying their joy when they believed themselves to be alone... Wasn't it?
He took a step further into the lake, letting the liquid brush against his knees. He made no further movements towards her. His head tilted up, tail brushng against the back of his legs as he knickered softly, attempting to alert the femme to his presence.

Her ears flickered as she heard a splash that wasnt from her and then a knicker. Someone was watching her. Turning her head she spotted the dark horse across the lake from her.
Her tail stilled as she turned to watch them, no him. Snorting she wondered how long he had been there and why he had decided it was nice to stare at her. She may have been strange looking but that didnt mean it was alright to stare.
It was the same everywhere. Couldnt she just find some place where no one was going to comment on her colors?

Even from this distance he could see how cold her gaze was and, for a brief moment, he thought of the icey mare he'd met the day before... He'd managed to warm her to his charms. Would it be possible with this pretty chere?
He turned his gaze away from her as his body moved, hooves carrying him back towards the edge of the lake. His intentions should have been quite clear... He was coming towards her, still without a word.

She stood still, save for the occasional flick of her ears, and watched him move toward her. She wouldnt run away, not anymore, she'd had enough of running.
Though that probably wouldnt stand for long. She had said she wouldnt run so many times and she always ended up leaving rather than trying to ignore it all.

He stopped about twenty paces from the female, keeping back a slight shiver as a light summer breeze blew through the trees, touching his damp coat. His head lifted, ruby eyes flickering with traces of inner flames as he looked upon her face, almost as if he could see straight through her. "Evenin', Chere."

She didnt like how he was looking at her, but she wouldnt let that unnerve her. She was better than that, wasnt she? "Evening." She said quietly.
He wanted something, they always wanted something, and she would find out and leave him in the dust if it wasnt something pleasent

"Wha's wrong, chere? Somethin' gotta be wrong for a gal like you ta be out here all alone..." He spoke simply... Slowly... Letting his eyes linger on her for a moment before his head dropped to the water, cool liquid passing his lips; fueling his suave speech. "Anythin' ah can help you wit?"

"Nothing is wrong." She had been having a wonderful day. Running under the sun with the wind all aroundher. It couldnt be better. "Why would i need your help anyway? I can take care of myself."
Why did the males always think she need 'helping' just because she was a girl.

"Now now, chere..." His laughter was warm, much like the rest of him. Including those eyes that now danced with flickers of firelight. "Ah not ask if you need help... Ah ask if there be anythin' ah can help you wit. You certainly don' seem like no mare who need help."

"I dont need any help, espically from you." She snorted, tail flicking in the water behind her. "I was doing perfectly fine on my own."
The twitch of her hauches gave her away. She would like nothing more than to run from him and back somewhere where no one would bother her but she couldnt keep running. She had to fight, she had to be strong.

He chanced taking a step towards her, almost expecting her to bolt. She was different than the mares he'd met since arriving in this area... So very different... And the difference intrigued him. "Everyone need someone, chere... Even if it jus' a friend." He nodded slowly.
"How 'bout we start wit a name? Remy. Remy LeBeau. At your service, chere." He put a leg out in front of him, bowing down as if he were a perfect gentleman and she were a fine lady.
