The Barren pack, located in the desert.
A vast desert with a mountain towards the end of it with dry trees and brush that survive on very little or no water. It is extremely hot, with little or no humidity at all. There is barely any game in the area and the wolves that live here had adapted to eating ground squirrels and anything that is small. Only the tough survive here.
Desert hares: 1 wolf (or 2 inexperienced pups/teens)
Ground squirrels: 1 wolf
Mice: 1 wolf
Rats: 1 wolf
The Alphas are Tsume and Zhas.
The normal coat coloring for this pack is any shade of black, brown, white, and grey or silver.
These wolves are allied with the Lowlands pack.

 Audra wandered under the shade of a tree and lay down panting. She could be elusive if she wanted but she chose not to. SHe was more intresting in finding everything out. Audra was abandoned as a pup and ended up in the barren pack land. She sniffed the air taking in all the sents around her. The young pup yelped wanting some one to find her and take care of her she was alone... Audra winned sadly laying her head on her forepaws.

The black teen femme wandered back into her packlands after wandering out of them for some food. Game in her packlands was very scarce and it wasn't very rare for her to go many days without eating very much. She gazed around the area and found a bright wolf laying under a tree. She canted her head to one side and padded over to the other wolf, letting her white paws get stained a dull brown color. "Hello there," she said to the pup in a kind voice.

Audra looked at the large black wolf infront of her 'Hello" she smiled back "I am Audra, will you take care of me?" she asked bluntly "My mom didn't want me" she told her leaping to her feet even in this desert she still was full of energy. "Are you part of the Barrens pack?" she asked as well "Please can I join!"

 So this was the desert. Kayja liked it. She didn't like shades. She didn't like cool. She loved the constant heat out in the desert, and the sand feeling soft underpaw. Well, perhaps not the best feature of the desert, but it'd make do. She wanted to find the pack out here. She'd been told by a lone wolf once, that there was a pack out in the desert. She'd been looking to find them ever since.

Tsume was lounging under a tall, green tree when a wolf entered his packlands. He didn't bother to look up as he watched the femme walk around. He canted his head to one side and watched the other wolf carefully before deciding to let his presense be known to Kayja. He lifted his head up slightly and let out three short howls to the femme.
Raven canted her head to one side and looked at the other female wolf curiously. "I'm Raven. Take care of you? Umm...I guess," she told the other wolf in a calm voice. she flicked her onyx tail and pinned her ears back against her skull. "Well...I'm not really the wolf that can make that decision. My father, who is the pack alpha, will be able to tell you if you can join or not. I am sure he won't turn you away."

Completely unaware that she'd been in a pack's territory, Kayja started at the sound of the howling. She saw, at some distance off, a gray wolf, lounging about under a tree. Lowering her tail politely, she made toward him, eyes downcast.

Tsume noticed the femme's change of body posture and he slowly rose to all fours, his plump tail held high in the air. He took a few steps out from the shade of the tree and gazed at the brown wolf curiously, wondering why this adolescent decided to wander into the desert by herself.

She could see the authority and power, even in the few steps he took out of the tree's shade. There was no doubt that this wolf was the Alpha of the pack. It made her uneasy. "Um... I-I didn't know that I was in your pack's territory, sir, I'm sorry. But, er, is this the land of the Barren pack?" She asked politely.

Tsume listened to the femme's words carefully and didn't say anything for a few brief seconds. "Yes, this is the Barren pack. May I help you?" he asked her curiously, one of his ears pinned back slightly.

"Well, y'see, sir, my pack... Well, they aren't together anymore..." She said, her ear flickering uneasily. She obviously didn't want to talk about what had happened to her pack. "And I've been wandering for almost a full season now. I was wondering if I could join your pack?"

Tsume flicked his tail back and forth after listening to the female wolf respond to his question, pondering on whether or not he should let her join. He gazed back at the caves for a few brief moments before turning it back to the femme. Slowly, he nodded his head at her, accepting her request to join his pack.

Kayja's face lit up in a mask of pure joy. "Thank you, sir!" She giggled in barely suppressed glee. "My-my name's Kay... My name's Kayja, sir!" She managed, between supressing her giggles and trying to keep from throwing back her head in a howl.

Tsume nodded his head slightly before turning around and started heading towards the caves. "I'm Tsume," he said back to Kayja. He continued to hold his tail up high as he spotted a black wolf look down at him from her cave. He flicked his ears slightly as he gazed back at Kayja. "Raven's cave has room for one more wolf. You may stay with her...if you want to."
