That's right! Last tuesday my high school had its last concert of the year. As a senior, thats also my last concert forever! Omg. OH MY GOSH. biggrin I played a solo on the violin, accompanied by my little sister on bass and her friend on piano. 3nodding It went really well. Im happy. And it was funny cause the piano for soem reason was behind the orchestra, so we had to practice moving the violas away to make room for the piano to come up to the front beside me. Yaay! Anyone else? domokun domokun domokun

My last concert as a freshman was last month. We haven't played since. IT'S DEPRESSING!!! the seniors all got solos and we thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world, especially our first chair chamber violinist and the bass soloist.

I have my last concert of this year on Monday, and then about 30 more next season. And that'll be my last as a high school student. But yeah, I'm going to miss the seniors this year. The only two people that consistently sit in a better chair than me are seniors (not that I think they deserve it sometimes) but still, they're good friends. So yeah, last high school concert where I sit third chair? surprised

I did not like sitting second chair for the GTCYS concert (and third chair by some random mistake for the concert right before that). The girl that took my place can't play well, and my old stand partner missed a lot of entrances. He said that he practiced the entrances the morning of the concert. It was interesting when he told me that he couldn't make them because I wasn't there. Philharmonic again for me, I just know it. This really bites. Good luck in Symphony next year, Bryson.

Really. Well...I only play violin and viola on the side... but I know that my "last concert" will never be an actual LAST concert because I will be playing the cello for the rest of my life...and I might keep up the viola and possibly the violin if I am going to teach like, junior high orchestra or something!! I am also going to need to learn the bass! xd I personally like the viola more than the violin!!!

YES!!! You should definatley become a teacher biggrin It's so good to hear someone actually considers it. (I think it's way cool cool So many students drop out of music ed. because they underestimate the work & wimp out. I hope you seriously consider it.
