Mom gave me this journal so that I could record my thoughts when Amalthea isn't near.
Hi, my name is Seminole. I'm a Silver Wind Drake and I have a best friend named Amalthea. She's my familiar, she's a unicorn. Mom says that she must be the last of her kind, since she is the only one around. She never seen any, she says.
My older brother Kenjin says she's not real. That I only see this unicorn only because Mom is making it happen. You can't touch illiusions. Amalthea isn't one of them. SHe's real, she soft and strong. Whenever Mom is away taking care of other business, I go and stay with her. Mom hasn't seen her yet, only Niaria, I like her.
Amalthea is the best, see, when I was first born, I couldn't speak, I was dubbed mute. And I was for a while, until I met Amalthea. She granted me speach so I could talk to her. Only thing was, it was when she was near. And from what I remember, she was near alot.
I told Amalthea the other day that Mom was having another baby. She didn't say anything just nodded. I asked her if Mom would love me just the same or less. Amalthea just smiled and said. "Your Mother loves you with her whole heart, she has plenty of love and then some for you, your brothers, and sisters. She's going to need you to help take care of her and the baby when it has arrived. As well as your younger siblings."
She's really comforting, and I love her alot. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Well I have to go. I'm going to meet Amalthea near the waterfall today.
