Has anyone else notced an influx of celebrities and other "pop culture" peeps getting into Jewishdomness's Kabbalah?
Case in point: Brittney Spears has a tatoo of a hebrew worg on the back of her neck, but she has it backwards...
I'll repete what I just said in case you didn't get it...
TATOO of a Hebrew word that's #$^$^&ing BACKWARDS!
What do you think of the pop-culturiliztion of out religion? Good thing or bad? Should Brittney be shot? How many times? Why do you think Jewish mysticism is so popular all of a sudden? Do we really control the media? If so, wheres my paycheck? Will I stop asking questions?

No religion should be pop-cultured. And Britney should not be shot. That would upset the fetus-rights activists.

Isn't it insane? Madonna, Britney, Ashton and Demi, everyone's doing the Jewish thing! How ridiculous is that? It's just another fad spiritual thing. It'll end soon enough. And Silverah, you are totally right. Wait til Britney's baby is born, then shoot her!

And Silverah, you are totally right. Wait til Britney's baby is born, then shoot her! I was just talking with my mom about it this morning. We were wondering if she was gonna go all Madonna, and change her name to something like "Esther" and start studying hte Kabbalah and complain there's too much sex in our pop culture. stare

I don't think that it is right at all for Judaism to be a "fad." You either are Jewish, or you aren't: end of story. I'm so sick of the pop stars saying, "Like, oh my gosh, like I'm totally Jewish and I speak Jewish, too!" when they could care less about the religion and only the popularity and fads that it brings them.

If Brittney converted, she wouldn't be able to have her Cheetos and a McBurger.

Unfortunately anything can (and eventually will) be a fad at some point. The desparate attempt to find some individuality makes people claw at anything they can get their hands on, and that sucks, because it makes those who actually give a damn about whatever it is just ends up looking bad.
It just makes me sick to see blatantly religious content being manipulated by decietful moocows such as Madonna or Brittney Spears just to get a blurb in the newspapers.
In the paraphrased immortal words of Pink Floyd:
./'
Hey!
Brittney!
Leave our faith alone!
./'
