This is after Janice and Jacky have met on the island.

Janice walked to Jacky’s Duplex for their play date. She carried Albert promptly as she harried to her new friend’s place. “I wonder what advancers Bat kitty has had recently. Don’t you Albert?” she asked the plushy and quickly knocked on the door existed to have someone to call a friend that was her age and not older then her.

Jacky was searching under her bed in her duplex when she heard a nock on her door. Starting, she hit her head as she pulled herself out from underneath the thing. "Owww," she whined as she rubbed the sour spot before scrambling to her feet and trotting to the door. Swinging it wide, she smiled happily when she saw Janice and Albert.
"Hi!" she chirped. "I'll just be a sec. Batkitty is playing hide-and-go-seek and he's winning," she said, wrinkling her nose slightly at the fact that she couldn't find her little buddy. "Come on in."
Turning from the door, she ran back to her bed and jumped onto the unmade covers. Scrambling to the side closest to the wall, she wriggled down until only her legs were on the bed and she was wedged between the matress and the wall.

Janice chuckled when Jacky "Need Help finding Bat Kitty?" Janice said coming in looking around "where was he last?" She asked looking at Albert.
Opining the closet making share not to put Albert down so he could start hiding too. She looked cradled under the close hanging in the closet “What are You doing Batkitty? Where are you?” Janice asked

Emerging from her wedged position between the matress and the wall, Jacky sat among her mussed up sheets with her backpack resting in her lap. Opening it, she cried in triumph, "Found him!" as she pulled the elusive kitty from the contents of her bag.

Janice looked up and scampered out of the closet. "What was he doing?" Janice asked with her head tilted sidewise. "Albert says he's cle...silly for hiding in the backpack."
"Jacky's Quarters.... I mean Duplex is dirty." She said looking around now that they found Bat kitty. “Oh well at least You found Bat kitty.” She said happily. She was having a tuff time say home and duplex over living quarters but she was trying her best now that she was on land and not at sea.

"I don't think it's messy," replied Jacky as she jumped off the bed, stuffing Batkitty back into the bag and slinging it onto her back. "I know where everything is. Batkitty just likes to go exploring under the bed or in the closet sometimes."
"Let's go outside and climb some trees! I bet we can see the whole island from up in a tree!!"

Janice looked at Jacky and then Albert . “Ok Its fun and easer on land then Golden Star.” Janice smiled. “I bet we could see a storm coming from up there.” Janice said always ready for a challenge.
“Race ya.” She cried just as they left the doors running for the trees. Holding tightly to Albert’s arm.

"Cheater!" accused Jacky as she took off after Janice. Batkitty's head poking out of her draw-string bag as it bounced with each stride.
Reaching the trees, she strated to climb, only to loose her grip and drop to the earth below. Muttering something under her breath, she glanced over her shoulder, "What now Batkitty?........maybe......yeah! That's a great idea!" she exclaimed as she began to cast about the trees. Finding one that looked like it was ideal for climbing, she skipped over to it and circled it slowly. Finding a couple of small boulders pile around the roots, she carefully scrambled up them.
Keeping her balance by bracing one hand on the tree, she reached for the nearest branch and halled herself up.

Janice was better at climbing not running so Jacky and Janice got to the trees at roughly the same time.
Climbing up the trees Janice stayed in close to the trunk till she reached a height she thought was descent look out she got onto the branch and watched Jacky. "Yeah they are Albert.... Well we didn't have a much space as them..... Yeap." She said to Albert waiting for Jacky
Once Jacky was up in the trees Janice Giggle. "Albert says you two are faster runners."

Shrugging, Jacky swung her legs around until she was stradling a sturdy branch that was more or less level with Janice and facing her tree. Sliding herself out farther inorder to see better she laughed. "Gotta be fast on a vineyard. Or the crows will eat all the grapes before we get a chance ta pick em!"

"Yeah but you got to be strong to pull all those fish up." Janice said "And to get up into the crow's nest too." She added.
"Living' on land is odd compared to the Golden Star." Janice said looking to the clear open sea. She misted it but was happy to finally have a friend other then Albert

"I wrote my Mommy the other day...with help from one of the people near my duplex. I can write ok I guess...just no one other then Batkitty can usualy read it!" she said with a laugh as she found a spot on the branch that split itself into two branches, where she hunckered down into it and watched the clouds roll by through the leaves of the tree.
Batkitty now resting quietly in her lap as her backpack dangled from the branch itself. "I hope she writes back soon! She'd probably send some really tasty candy! She always sends candy when Dad and I are gone for the summer!"

"You can have my Mommy instead?" offered Jacky, not really liking the new mood her friend was in.
"Wanna go down to the beach later and swim? It's a hot day today, so the water should feel real good like!"

Janice Looked at Jacky but she didn't wan't Jacky's mommy or any mommy they all where the same to her. However the swiming she could only welcome and agreed to it. "That sounds like fun." She said fealing a little better. "Swiming is a lot of fun right Albert?..... No?.... Oh your kidding?" She said laughing.
