Ok maybe its just me, but lately I seem to have seen a sudden influx in Gaia Signatures supporting Pro-Choice, with most of them being something to effect of "Planned and Wanted, like All babies should be".
And its really starting to piss me off. I mean how many people walk around life thinking that their parents had planned to have them when they had them??
I know I did, and then one day my mom lets me in on the fact that I was an accident and unplanned, NOT unwanted. And I was just fine with it. I think it actually made me feel more loved that I was unplanned and a surprise, and my mom kept me anyways because she loved me and wanted me to have a fruitful life, and not just kill me off because I was unplanned.

I was a "surprise." But I don't get the whole, planned, thing. How is life a gift to the baby when you're pro-choice personal? It's a gift to the mother. It's not saying, "Oh, I love this baby so I'll have it!" It's saying, "Oh, I want a baby so I'll have it!" basically... that says it best. Another thing, kp said, have you ever met a person who was never wanted by anyone? Even if someone's not wanted by parents, that doesn't mean he or she won't be wanted by someone at some point. My friend wasn't wanted by her parents but she was wanted by her grandparents. Is there such a thing as an unwanted person?

i wouldn't worry too much about it. I think most people are smart enough to see that as a desprate militant tactic, although i may have too much faith in that reguard. I wouldn't mind having something tastefull and non offensive in my signature, but as far as participating in their imaginary war, i don't think that's a good idea.
hey, maybe i'll put that in my sig, something like:
I was gonna put a clever pro life slogan here, but there's enough war in the world aready without participating in the imaginary pro choice signature war.
not very catchy, but it's an idea. I'll leave it up to you guys to do something clever with it if you want.

That's a good point, if a baby's unplanned for, don't just go off and abort it, have reason too kill it. If you're a 18 year old girl, just starting up in college, you're pore, and you get pregent, THEN abort the baby.

Sir, if you are Pro-Choice and in our forums, please at least back up your statements.
Clearly, as Pro-Lifers, we would not support the abortion of a poor 18 year old college girl's child.

Andrew, a friend of mine, Annie, was raped about a year ago. She was going to abort, but at the last minute, decided that she could not. She gave birth to little Lenon Nicole, and still manages to juggle a marriage, college (scored 6th place out of 5k entries), and an infant. Oh yes. And she still manages to get on MSN and tell me all about it.
If you're 18 and going to college, perhaps you shouldn't put yourself in the position in which you may get pregnant? Like, um, I'unno . . . *ponders*
Abstaining or using birth control?

..Le Chat du Noir.. Ooo, it's just a little thing that we're doing. *points to her own siggy* 4laugh Awww, can't a little chappie like me have a little fun anymore? I don't think your signature offends me. I'm not against your blue daisies.
I do, however, despise the ones which openly state: "Pro-life, because we can't get laid."
How about a signature of mine that says "Pro-choice, because killing someone when you want to ******** is just fine and dandy."
I'm sure y'all would just love that.

Well, I wouldn't -actually- have a sig like that. That's too brazenly bitchy, for me.
Miranda would love a sig like that I'm sure. It's a little mean for me, though.
I'd feel like I'd be offending people whenever it flashes by in my rando-sig.
Thanks for the offer, though, honey. heart

Yeah, I'm the same way. sweatdrop And I'd feel like a hypocrit, being this proponent of the PC/PLA, and then having a very anti-Pro-Choicer signature.
Not that it'll keep me from making them in private. ninja

Well, I made it just to see how it would look (as a joke!,) and uploaded it (temporarily) to the guild photobucket account. The red color turned sort of brown when I saved it, kind of like period blood, but oh well... I'll probably take it down since it might be too big for Miranda to want in her signature, anyway. 3nodding It was fun making it, though!

I keep imagining it would look like Sakura's face in this picture. http://img471.imageshack.us/img471/1447/no257wm4.jpg
