Firstly I apologize if this is perceived as an advertisement, I don't mean it to be that.


I am the nominal leader of a large collection of Socialist/Communist progressives, and the idea was presented to me that perhaps various progressive forces should form a guild for the mutual discussion and dialogue amongst every progressive force within Gaia.

Now I understand a lot of people here arn't here for political discussion or debate, or to participate in anti-racist threads, but I have been quite shocked at the amount of these blatently hateful threads and posters, and that perhaps we too should collaberate on countering these forces as a single unit.

Again I apologize if this is seen as an advertisement, but I figured if we're looking for progressive forces to assemble any person of a racially, nationally, or ethnically oppressed group should be added, and this is where this guild comes in.


I will understand if this is deleted. I would also desire, if this thread is not to be deleted, that members discuss the possibility for such a guild, or maybe just brainstorm about it.

Lol it's ok I totally understand. I've seen the same before. But really I think you and I have the same understanding.

If nothing else it'd be an attempt lol.

Part of the reason I think people tend to ignore real proof such as "lazy slob" comments and the like is because that's what these folks have been told by their parents and teachers their whole lives.

I cannot recall the number of times I've been told the only people on welfare are lazy. Or a big one around my area here is that "black people don't talk right" which keeps "them" out of "higher end" jobs. But I won't go into what other things around here are common, being too close the home base of the KKK has it's own effects, and I wouldn't want to spread that at all.

Maybe my Communist's experience on Gaia is a bit off, as I tend to only debate people about my subject, and they do tend to listen (maybe it's because I'm the one that's being shocking! lol) and just degrade themselves until they don't show up anymore. Whereas with racists they just tend to rely on rhetoric or "this or that black person did this or that" or this or that jewish person did this to me etc, and to counter again with rhetoric just makes them question their own beliefs; which sets of their little social thinking mechanism that makes them remember all the times their parents told them that slavery isn't necessarily a bad thing or that all muslims blow up Americans.

The NCS (my guild) could easily fund the venture, so even if it didn't work out it could still be entertaining and free biggrin
