hey, cool! in the making of my photobucket account to display possible banner images I found that they had the old Gaia header images listed on the front page! woot, pride. http://photobucket.com/Now onto a question, is it against the ToS to simple copy and paste an image to use as a banner or is it that we have to somehow edit it ourselves?

And I want to help make it too, please. biggrin Could you tell me in a sentence what theme it is? gonk what need is a theme! we're able to create subforums however it's been told that the making of these often leads to the death of a guild's forum. The reasoning behind this is that the population is distributed over such an expanse that replies come so slow it is no longer worth it to attempt the forums. However if we get an increasing number of members with increasing numbers of topic-related themes I might be convinced to spend the required 2.5k from the guild funds to open a sub-forum.

Can't we at least create a theme before making subforums? It makes us unsure of what threads to post and people won't join if they don't know what the guild's about.

The guild's purpose is apparant, if we limit our words to a theme then should someone require help in another subject then they would feel awkward in placing it here. By creating a theme we secularize the influx of people entering our guild and in my opinion (as we can derive from JIS) diversity of opinion and character is of long-term benefit. While themes can enhance one's experience in a guild they should by no means be their defining element (although in fact that was the original intent of guild type...ours is 'battle' but for a reason mentioned in the description). Thus, if the demand becomes high enough I will create a sub-forum that will characterize the demanded theme and through that supply the demands but until then themes will only be a trivial if not limiting feature.
