The dark-pelted femme lazed not too far away from the mouth of the den she shared with her three boys, stretching out her long legs under the morning sun with a sigh. It was not at its hottest yet, for it was a few hours before the sun reached its zenith, yet the female's dark purple fur was already rather warm.
She'd been awake for a couple of hours now, when it was still rather early in the day, thanks to the youngest of the cubs she lived with. Well, he was actually the only cub now; the other two were most definitely past that age now, but she continued to think of them that way. They were starting to gain height, both of them, and she was considering when she should start taking them on hunts with her, to teach them how to hunt as well as her, if not better. And she was also becoming uncomfortably aware that soon they might decide to leave and strike out on their own. They were both strong, healthy young males, and they couldn't stay with her forever, much as she'd like them to. The only silver lining to the thought was that Akia was younger, and would linger with her for a little while after they departed. But even he would eventually have to go, and she would be on her own again. Before these three entered her life, she was content to be alone. Now... now, she wasn't so sure.
She was not given long to dwell on these thoughts, however, as suddenly a weight dropped onto her middle, and her lavender eyes opened fully and flicked down. "Aki!" she exclaims, slightly breathlessly from the impact. "What do you think you're doing?" The pale cub merely giggled in reply, leaping from where he'd been sprawled across his mother's belly to his feet. He lunged forward, gripping one of her ears in his tiny teeth and tugging, all the while growling playfully. With his brothers asleep, and having being told several times to leave them alone to sleep when he tried to creep into the den to wake them, the only one left for him to torment was his mother. Hence, he had been pouncing her and biting her merrily for the past few hours since he'd woken her, and it was especially fun because he could get away with practically anything with her. Such was the joy of terrorising his mother.

A black ear twitched as sunlight burned the pelt that was bared to the sunlight. A blind green eye popped open as a grumble of anger from being awoken by the squeaks and pesters of a slightly younger cheetah male escaped his muzzle in a puff of dust.
Annoying.
That was what it was. Cracking his good blue eye to the blue sky, Korou relinquished himself to the knowledge that he would in fact have to get up and he sighed huffily at the thought. Using his white swirled and be-bangled legs to heave his thin frame up to the hot savannah air, the now juvenile cheetah gave a grunt as a pain flashed through the now only slightly bad left leg he had.
Twisting his head so he could glare at Aki for a moment before the ice frosting his heart from sleep just melted, Korou frowned at the cub and walked over towards him slowly. Sitting down in front of his suspected sibling with a thump, the cheetah placed a paw on top of Aki's tail and grumbled in a very unthreatening voice.
"Do you mind? Why do you never sleep cub?"

Hinotama wasn't in deep sleep anymore not after Zakiya's pup had been awake for the latest hours and not when others started talking either but he didn't mind he rarley got angry and cubs needed to play. He rolled over on his back and wagged his tail to scare away some flies, he opend his purple eyes and looked around at the 3 other cheetahs..
He was much bigger then before and Korou was rather big himself too witch was good. He yawned and stretched out his body at the same time then he saw Korou talking to the little cub why did he seemed to bother him now? Tama got up and put his front paws on his brother and pushed him down to the ground and layed down on him..
" Hallo Korou...hallo Akia "
He smiled again and some off his rainbow bangs fell down in his eyes..

"Korou!" the paler, smaller cheetah chirped happily, letting go of Zakiya's ear, at the slightly grumpy, sleepy voice, quite literally elated to have one awake, two even better; he could finally stop attacking his unresponsive and endlessly patient mother and play.
"There's too much fun to be had to sleep, silly!" he exclaims, as though this were the most obvious thing in the world. His tail tries to flick as he gets to his feet, and it's then that he notices the paw on it. "Hey! That's mine!" With one of his adorable little growls that wouldn't intimidate a flea, he nips playfully at his older brother's foot. Now finally free of her youngest, the one who looked insufferably adorable and innocent but could be a right little monster, she slowly shifted onto her tummy and pushed herself to her feet. It took more effort than usual; her right hind leg was injured, although she had avoided revealing the fact to either of the boys. It had happened during the stampede when she had been with Fuhati. She didn't know if it was a stray hoof that hit her, or a bit of flying debris, but the muscles at the top of her leg had ached continuously ever since.
If she walked slow, she could hide the slight limp that now patterned her gait, at least until she got out of their sight. She was just glad it hadn't affected her hunting in any extreme way. She still managed to make kills, through a mix of practised skill and luck, so her cubs wouldn't go hungry.
It was in this slow walk that she moved over to Hima, sitting down slowly beside him. "Are any of you hungry yet?" she asks, her typical morning question. She was very meticulous about keeping them well fed.

Raising a thin eyebrow at his adopted brother, Korou flopped back down on his side and sighed. He'd been up for the past few nights teaching himself slowly how to hunt, with the help of a few passing birds and that one lizzard that had felt the need to take out its aggitation on Korou's ankle.
In short the juvenile was exhausted to the point that a few more hours of sleep would probably have done him a bit of good. But it was his own fault he supposed. To believe that he would get any sleep around Aki was a bit of a false hope.
"If it was yours then you shouldn't go flicking it around like that." Korou said, pulling his left paw away from any damage that could be further done to the still healing limb. Using his tail he wrapped it around Aki's and pulled him off balance playfully, wagging his own dark and bright tail in the air and winking at his younger brother before a loud growl pulled from his belly.
Korou was going to need to learn how to hunt better soon or he'd really be nothing but skin and bones. The older cheetah had been giving any of the food Zakiya brought home for him to Aki, forcing him to not tell his mother about it on punishment of having his brains tickled out, and Korou didn't bluff.
The added ache in his belly forced Korou to actually hunt for himself, seeing as he was too soft to want to hurt any other creature unless he was starving.

Tama yawned growing up with these guys was so much fun the best family he could get his 2 brothers and his mom could it be any more perfect? but he was still a little confused about that cub Akia how did he appear in Zakiya's tummy? it surley had a lot to do with adults and males and females but he wasn't very good on that the only female he met was Zakiya and that pretty pink cheetah he met one time not long ago.
He pawed at Kouru and then at Akia he felt like playing as long as they didn't made his fur all dirty.
" Hey guys! come and play with me and let Zakiya sleep ok? "
