With her paw swirling in the small stream, the small pale cub was enjoying herself. Sevati watched the ripples with happy enthusiasm as she flicked her tail. Not too long ago she had met her first friend, Kimaji. But, other than that, she hasn't seen another lion of their pride and was beginning to wonder if there was anyone around. This place was so creepy and scary, the way everything was without activity. The little cub liked to have fun and wanted to meet others.

Chepi had left the Pridelands and went back towards the jungle, close to where she had met that white cub. Suddenly, she has been feeling slightly off and has been eating more. She's been worried that something is wrong with her and that she's been sick. The trees loomed over her as she made her way to the familiar stream and spotted the white cub not too far off. She called to the other, "Hi Sevati, good to see you."

Ears perked up as Sevati heard her name. Who could be calling her? It didn't sound like Kimaji. Wondering who it was, her lime green eyes scanned the area before they widen with surprise. It was the deer from a while ago! Chepi was back! Sitting up quickly, she shook the water from her paw and smiled, "Chepi, it's good to see you. I didn't think you'd come back."

Chepi smiled and walked over to Sevati. She flicked her ears before she looked at the cub. "Oh, I wouldn't leave you here, all alone. This place..." She glanced around, "Seems kind of dead." All that was heard was the occassional chirping of a bird, but there were barely scents of lions around here, and this was supposed to be a pride?

Lime green eyes took the deer in. Something seemed off about Chepi, something was different about her and Sevati didn't know what it was. That nagging feeling at the back of her mind ate at her, but she wasn't sure. "Chepi, something seems off about you...You're not scared of me, like last time." The last time she had met up with the deer, Chepi didn't trust her all that much. "Why don't you get a drink, the water is nice."

Chepi blinked. Something odd about her? She didn't know of anything like that about her, except for recently. "I don't know...I just went to the Pridelands with someone before coming back here. Now that I think about it..." Her voice got quiet, "I have been feeling funny, maybe water will help." She lowered her head and drank some water.

Eyes widen in surprise and curiosity, "You went to the Pridelands? What was it like? Where the lions really nice? Where there lots of them? I've heard some stories about them..." Sevati asked question after question, waiting to see what Chepi had to say. She had all but forgotten the nagging feeling that she got from he deer, that would wait for another time.

Chepi took a step back at all the questions directed towards her. "Slow down, Sevati! I can only answer so many at a time!" She wagged her small tail before she answered, "Yes, the Pridelands is as every bit as wonderful as it sounds, but there are so many lions there! It's very crowded, unlike this place. While it does seem like paradise, I wouldn't want to live there, and you should mistake your home for anything other than this." She looked at their surroundings, "If it wasn't for the lack of rain, this would be a very nice place to live in."

Wow, that sounded so cool to Sevati. A place with many lions where she could have as many friends as she wanted to play with. Though, Chepi's words rang true to the cub, this was her home and she shouldn't want it any other way. She just wanted more friends, that is all. Her ears drooped slightly as she made circles with her paw on the ground, "I know, I know. It's just...I don't see anyone here besides Kimaji! I am beginning to wonder if there are any other lions here." Her lime green eyes looked to the small stream, "Yea, there needs to be some rain, but I think this place gets enough from the lake close by."

Chepi nodded her head in agreement, "I agree, I haven't came across any other lions...the scents are faint." She flicked her tail before an ache from her stomach made her cringe. "Ouch!" Her knees bent before she fell to the ground. "My stomach hurts!" Her eyes were closed as she felt a sharp pain in her side.

Just as Sevati was about to say something else, the deer's pain became evident. Something was wrong with Chepi! The white cub jumped to her feet and walked closer towards Chepi. Lime green eyes were full of worry as she bent her head to inspect her friend. She didn't find any injuries what-so-ever. "Are you alright, Chepi? Did someone hurt you?"

Chepi could feel the pain subside. She shook her head, "No one attacked me, Sevati. This is the first time I've felt this kind of pain in my stomach...but I have been feeling slightly sick lately." She didn't know what was wrong, "I did meet another one of my kind not too long ago, perhaps he passed something to me!"

Unsure of what to do, Sevati watched Chepi lie down on the ground. "I don't know...I don't know that much about illnesses." Her lime green eyes gazed at Chepi, full of worry for her friend. "Do you still hurt? Have you tried eating something?"

Chepi nodded her head, "Yes, I just ate something not too long ago, but I still have pains." She felt a sharp pain in her side before it left just as quickly as it had came. And then another and another before she had her eyes closed and was moaning. It wasn't too long before she gave birth to a little female fawn.

Chepi blinked, "I...I was pregnant?!"
