On Saturday, September 17, 2006, the BPG will be one whole year old!
Woot!
What to do, what to do?!
I'm not quite sure!
What would the members of the BPG like to do to celebrate their guild being around for one full year? Parties? Prizes? Games? Freebies like art and gold?? Contests?? Trivia??? House party in Towns????
Oh, my! So many ideas!
I'd like to hear from each of you regulars on what we should do and how long the celebration should last.

Okay, it's obvious, (especially for those of you who have been around for other events I've hosted), that somewhere along the way, I was unable to put my best foot forward on this one. The celebration is not canceled, just extended--you can still buy the raffle tickets and I'm still accepting donations and ideas. I will be able to send out invites and make threads for games and make some final decisions by next weekend. I'm willing to put in more gold for the prizes also. 3nodding

NEW UPDATE:
I lost my internet connection over the weekend and just got it back today, kids. I apologize, but it seems like everything is against me having this anniversary celebration thing. sweatdrop So, I suppose it will have to be canceled, unless my two vice captains would like to run it for me. I probably won't be online very much for now...

I like the idea of having a town party that way we can meet everyone and chat and play games that you can only do in towns.
I think that you should have a post like last where people have to check in at to get a special prize for coming.
We could start a collection to gain funds and items for the prizes for the contest and trivia. Also I have to add don't donate things that you wouldn't want to get as a prize if you won yourself. I don't think anyone here would do that but I have seen it happen before.

I would love it if someone with a nice home would allow us to host a party there and in part of towns. I think that would be fun. ^^
If anyone wants to donate (and you should!!) then you can send the trade to me or Crystal (if that's okay w/ you, Crystal).

Yes that's fine with me but I would prefer if they send them to my mule instead Naono Naifu I don't want the donations to get mixed up will all my stuff.
A new topic needs to be made for the donations. I can make one later since I have to go atm.

As the NCS is fairly old as far as Gaia goes, we usually celebrate on May 1st by bumping up every thread accross GD, ED, and ED-p having anything to do with communism/socialism or workers' rights. But we do it in a way, such as posting in regards to older posts that perhaps went unanswered etc, so technically its ok, but of course the admins boot the oldest threads. We have pictures of ED-p being almost entirely communism/socialism threads lol.
Of course I understand this guild might not want to be as.. out there lol... So i'd say maybe a guild raffle would be cool, maybe have all the members pitch in some money to you passion_dragon, and buy some high profile item with the donated money and randomly decide a number between 1 and 200, and then have members post in a special raffle thread their picked number and the closest or the direct hit get the item. And of course beyond donations, anybody who wants to enter the raffle needs to pay say.. 100 gold or something.
We also have done guild donation drives where the highest donator got a special sig made just for them. Maybe you could do a special "birthday boy/girl of the BPG" banner. Of course donations don't do much for guilds lol.
Otherwise the house party idea sounds neat for the guild, I was just throwing out some other ideas.

I like the idea of a guild raffle too I think it's a very good idea. I wonder what the item could be if it was done.

Yeah it is approaching faster than I realized.
For the raffle it can be 200g a ticket and you can only buy up to 3 tickets with 100 tickets to sell in all.
Either it can be one grand prize winner or more maybe like 2 or 3.
Which one do you think would be better?
