It's just really a fan coupling, it isn't official ^^ Just like SakuNaru ( SakuraxNaruto) or any other coupling, unless we read/see the characters say " I love you" to eachother, it isn't a real coupling. Frankly, I prefer him with Ino anyway 3nodding

Shikamaru's got the total hots for her but Temari is so...

Anyway, the rumor is totally to blame on Naruto.
Remember, he isn't that bright.
He doesn't understand the two countries work in harmony.
So when he saw them together, he assumed.
But the truth is that all rookies generally stay together.
But kids who watch anime don't see that.

Also, I think Shikamaru shows some signs during the time Temari saves him from Tayuya.

It would be an *ahem* interesting pairing, but didn't Shikamaru once say that he wanted to marry an average woman? No offence to Temari, but she might not be "average" enough for him.
