after spending months longing to have Firefox working again, once it is i find it's too slow!
apparently it's been working for a while, probably since i installed Norton2006, i just hadn't tried it recently, as Opera works now too rolleyes
My pc fixing friend says that Firefox takes up 100% of the cpu runtime, so makes things grind to a halt, when i typed something there was a 5 second lag before it appeared on the screen sweatdrop it didn't used to do that gonk
so i've downloaded IE7 now, so i have tabs which is nice and neat, but i still have IE's behavioural problems when it comes to using tabs during posting, oh well rolleyes
i quite liked Opera, but i noticed that it doesn't update very quickly, my subscribed threads list didn't show up new posts, which doesn't help you to keep up with conversations, so i think i'll stick with IE now.
i just wish it would behave when i want to pretty up my posts, but it puts the tabs in a big long line instead of nesting them within each other like they should be stressed

Opera is seriously becoming my least favorite browser. I have Opera, Firefox, IE (not 7), Netscape and AOL's browser which I got from downloading AIM. Apparently, IE, Netscape and AOL's browser are all based off of IE so the are basically one in the same. I would kind of like to find another browser so that I can have each of my mules and my main signed in all at the same time, which I can't do right now. I just don't know what to look for. I know there are others out there because I've seen a couple others mentioned here but can't seem to find that thread.

See I can't do that with Netscape, IE or the new AOL browser. If I log into Netscape with this account and then log into IE with SweetPeppermynt, it logs peppermynt into Netscape as well. Of course, I know AOL's browser is linked into IE so I understand that.

We really don't like Opera, we started using it because IE had issues with us, and we liked the tab option. Now that Yahoo came out with a new toolbar that gives you the tab options, we use IE and Firefox. Sometimes Nestscape too, but I plan on removing Opera soon 3nodding

I pretty much only use Firefox, I never have any issues with it, and the tabs are so much better set-up than the Yahoo IE ones. I do keep separate accounts logged into FF and IE though, for the sake of trading/checking different accounts on various websites.

Funny you say that, eek cause I have the same problem when I was updating my profile on here the other day. Everytime I click on edit to change the tilte of journal or comments the browser would crash. I had installed IE7 beta3 the day before I was updating my profile so I thought it had something to do with the beta3, but you have proved that wrong. Maybe it's something on gaia as my IE7 works great on all other sites, subeta, neopets gaia when not updating profile and all my forums I have etc. Maybe we need to let gaia know there is a bug running around our profiles. morphingbutterfly my IE on the other hand is being very B****y here lately and not wanting stay open when i try to update my profile here on gaia..

I have IE7 beta 3, Opera and Firefox so I can log into different accounts at the same time, mainly over at Neo. I haven't had a problem with any of them. I prefer IE since I've used it all my surfing life rofl I used Netscape yrs ago and it had problems so I chucked that into the recyle bin.

I prefer IE too, I think because I can hear the click when I'm clicking links. LOL, I feel kind of.. 'numb and deaf' when using mozilla. That sounds silly. I do like the tabs on there though. I wasn't aware there was a new IE with tabs, but it sounds like their tabs aren't quite as good as mozilla's. And I use Opera least frequently of them all because when I'm shopping the wiz on neo, I have to click 'back' too many times when I'm buying multiple things, compared to only once on IE, and like Poppy, I don't like that it often isn't showing an updated version of a page.

fawn, check out IE 7 here, it take you on a tour and you can see the new tabs smile I heart them lol But there is a buy I know of, has on;y happened once so far with me, is when I close one tab, they all close. Or I may be clicking on something that is closing them all lol http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/tour/fre/default.mspx

I don't have the new IE7. I just downloaded the new yahoo toolbar. There are tabs for IE with that. I don't like the beta version of IE so I haven't downloaded it. To many people I have talked to are having problems and have switched back until it's out of beta testing.

Only problem I have had with IE7 is that some web sites don't recognize it yet... I have to go boot up FoD's puter to refill prescriptions 'cause the big chain drug store we go to doesn't accept beta versions. Other than that, it works quite well and hubby won't let me have another browser on this puter... maybe if I tell him he could log into two different accounts on his message boards and have conversations with himself, he might change his mind rofl
