Well, while i wait for my subforum to open up, I'll be trying to recuite likely candiates for the evil campaign I'll be running. You heard right. EVIL! Straight out from books like the Book of Vile Darkness, the Fiend Folio, Lords of Madness, anything you can think of to play that send chills down the spine's the clerics of good is open to those who wish to play. I would also like to add that I am a active DM, so you can expect me to update every day, as I have seen many DM's start a campaign and then leave to never come again. So you can expect me to post at least once a day. Player's should at least be moderatly active, since it would be inconsiderate to the other's if you were to disappear in the middle of an important development. So please, post at least once every few day's, or at least give tell us that you'll be abset for a long period of time so that I can safely incapacitate your character until you return. Now, with thout out of the way, here are the house rules.
1. The DM is the law. I have had a few player's who don't seem to get that. I am alway's open to suggestions, but do not argue with me please.
2. Starting level will be 1, as I want to see the character's grow and develope in this campaign.
3. When creating a charater, please don't use creatures that have more than a +1 level adjustment. Mind Flares are fun to play, but really, do you really wan't to be so far behind the other players?
4. I love too see long backgrounds and good character discriptions. Indulge me, please.

Hmm...I have to think of an evil character I'd like to play, but I could join. It would appear I have time heh. Level Adjustments suck, and unfortunatly the only other character I've ever thought about making is a Drow, which has like a +2 adjustment I think. So, I need to decide a type of character to play, but I'm interested.
Oh, and if we play a character with a +1 adjustment, we can't have a class, since having a level in a class would make our effective character level at 2. So, you might want to either let us be lvl 2, or not allow even +1s.

You could take a class, Level Adjustment just sets the amount of experience you need to gain to level up higher
Ex. I got a Drow Cleric at lv1. She's effectively a lv3 character, so she needs 6,000 EXP to get to lv2 as a cleric, then she levels up from there like a normal character
Plus, this fact that you can remove the level adjustment helps them to even out to other people's levels.

removing the level adjustment is a variant rule. So some DMs might not agree to it. As for ECL, it still considers your player level as the total. So, if everyone's level is supposed to be one, you can't technically play a character with an ECL, because their effective character level would be higher than one. I looked all of this up, because I used to think it was just for experiance. But, your player level would be higher, and so if there's a cap on levels, the character's level adjustment counts towards the cap. It would make for very unbalanced parties otherwise. A centaur with 1 level in fighter is going to kick alot more a** than a half orc with 1 level of fighter.
