Welcome to Egyptian Mythology 101. I am your teacher, Professor Shinichi Ishida and I will be teaching you about the Mythology of Egypt, history pertaining to Duel Monsters, and who knows what else as Duel Academy is currently short-staffed.
Please feel free to ask questions should the need arise.

The Egyptian Empire is one of the earliest known civilizations on Earth and it's likeness can be found even so far away as the Myan temples of South America. Some say the Egyptians, and other civilizations of the time, are the reminants of the fallen Atlantis empire which was destroyed when the continant of Atlantis sank beneath the ocean a good thousand years before our records even began. But of course, the mere existance of such a continant is disputed so we shall not worry about where they came from and we shall begin at the beginning.
((PLEASE POST TO CONFIRM ATTENDENCE - Kinda like raising your hand or saying "here" when your name is called for attendence in class.))

A Celtic Guard sitting on the corner of his desk nodded in agreement, though only others with duel spirits could see him and even then they might not recognize that he was an Obnoxious Celtic Guardian as he was minus his armor and was wearing instead a shirt a few sizes too large for him. It was even sliding down one shoulder. He was still wearing his sword, strapped to his belt and tight pants though and he looked out at the empty seats in slight annoyance.

Tatsumi laughed nervously "T-that's probably true, but I still have to clean two others dorms before the days over...but.....I guess I could stay for a while"
Tatsumi took a seat at one of the empty seats and blinked owlishley "not alot of people here yet".

Xander raised his hand slowly. "I'm here." He glanced towards the left-back corner of his desk and nodded at the Destiny Hero Diamond Dude that was stood there. Its cape flapped about in the breeze coming in from an open window and the diamond shards glinted in the sunlight. He then looked up at the teachers desk and recognised the Obnoxious Celtic Guard for it's lack of armour and sagging garment.

Roslyn also raised her hand "Sorry I'm late I was moving in and lost track of time," She apoligized her Duel Spirit did it's best to stay out of the others way as hers was a Harpy's Pet Baby Dragon even for a baby it was still a bit big so it needed to stand a little further over than the others.

"eeee... eek " Roe muttered backing away from the dragon slightly, scooting to a farther seat. "You don't wanna scrap with that thing, little guy." he said, reaching to the floor to pick up a FoxFire and held it up in front of him talking to it like a child. "That's a scary thing, isn't it? Yes it is. You're so cute." The fox yapped back at him like a puppy.

Roslyn smiled, "Sorry about that it's a bit big isn't it?" She whispered to Roe behind her, Meanwhile her dragon looked upset for being to big too be too close to the others.

Tatsumi's eyes almost bulged out of her head "wow big duel spirit" She felt kinda lowly that she didn't have a duel spirit, well atleast not yet.

"All right, class has now begun." Professor Ishida announced. "Now generally I would say 'let's begin at the beginning' which would be the creation of the universe and the earth but unfortunately school policy prevents me from covering material which would be rated above you were it in a movie so ... let's begin with the earth in it's place; with Geb and Nut the land and the sky in place and speak of Ra, the creator of all things and his four children: the first four of the gods and goddesses of Egypt. Can anyone tell me who were the children of Ra?"

Xander raised his hand lazily. "Sir, I don't want to sound like one of those bookish geeks that can tell you exactly what word was written on whatever page you choose of any book you can think of... But I object with what you've just said. Geb and Nut came after Ra, and THEIR children were Isis, Osiris, Seth and Nephthys." He lowered his hand and was quiet once more. At least that is what he had read. He hoped this wasn't one of those times where he made a bold statement and then got it thrown back in his face as totally incorrect.
