Y Hullo Thar!

I'm new to this whole personals thing, so try not to laugh too hard.

Name: Janelle, and a gazillion other nicknames

Age: 21, 22 in a few months

Sex: Yes, please. (Female)

Looking for: Male

Relationship Status: Perpetually single

Preferred Relationship: casual/online for now, but I'd be willing to consider more serious alternatives if things click.

What I'm looking for: Really, I'm just looking for a guy who knows who he is as a person, and isn't afraid to be himself. I'd like a guy who is an actual guy, not one of those girly emo types, but not the over-macho a*****e type. I want the type of guy who likes to sit around and watch TV and make fart jokes with the guys, but can also be sophisticated, kind, and caring if the situation calls for it. Also, I would like a guy who likes me for who I really am. Smart, or at least able to hold an intelligent conversation would be a plus, as would be an interest in sports and random video games. A sense of humor is necessary, peverted preferred. I need someone who can hold their own in my stream of constant innuendo. Physically, pretty eyes and a cute smile will get me every time. Also, being strong is a plus. And facial hair. I sort of have a thing for moderately hairy guys.

All about me: I'm a college student from MI majoring in biology. I'm generally pretty quiet, but I've been told I'm very funny once I open up. And really, it might take me a while, because I don't trust people easily. I enjoy working out, sports, reading, drawing, video games and other nerdly persuits, the occasional drink or two or five, and hanging out with my buddies. I'm a bit lacking in the tact department, unfortunately. I also tend to bottle up my emotions and randomly explode. But, if I may say something good about myself, I'm very loyal, and pretty accepting, and I always try to put others first. Physically, I'm about 5'5'', brown eyes, dark curly hair, and on the larger side (i.e., fat).

So, if after reading that novel I wrote you're still interested or would like to know more, or just want to talk, feel free to PM me, or just respond here.

Thanks for your time, and have a great day. biggrin

Huzzah! I was worried that males over the age of 18 no longer existed on this site.

So, how are you doing?

(If you'd prefer to chat over PM or IM (assuming, that is, that you would indeed like to), let me know.)

Meh, either way of chatting is fine with me.

As for how I'm doing? I'm good and dandy like sour candy. But enough about me, how are you?

I'm quite peachy, actually. Got a new computer recently, and I'm still all giddy about that.

So, If you'd like, tell me a bit about yourself.

Well, alrighty. I'm 21, I'm kind of a weird person, and...um...yeah.

I like reading sometimes, and I also like playing video games. Of course, I mainly play when my friends are around, which is often, thank goodness. When I'm not on my crappy couch playing video games, I'm watching tv on my crappy couch.

My music tastes are very open-ended. Basically, I listen to whatever sounds good. If I think it sounds bad, I don't listen to it. Hip-hop, Rock, even country (but not much).

Um....I think that covers the basics. So what about you?

Oh, and in case you didn't hover over the AIM thingy in my bar, my AIM sn is the same as my Gaia name is.

I too have a pretty vast range in music. I listen to anything from Mozart to 50 Cent to Garth Brooks to techno, and anything in between, as long as I like the song. But I tend to prefer rock/alternative music.

Video game-wise, I tend to play social games (mainly because it's difficult to get the living room at a time where no one else is there), such as Mario Tennis/Kart/Baseball, Gauntlet Legends, and stuff like that. I also like games like Prince of Persia (all 3 for Gamecube), and the Legend of Zelda series.

I don't really get to watch much TV of my choosing (as of late, my roommates have deemed that we are watching baseball or the Gilmore Girls), but I like corny reality shows, Jeopardy, other random game shows, most anything on the history/discovery channel, sporting events, and the occasional non-cable TV show (like House, or Grey's Anatomy). Unfortunately, once school starts, my TV time goes way down.

What types of video games do you like to play? How about TV shows/movies?

I too enjoy Grey's Anatomy, and I can't wait until the new season starts up. The same for House, too. That's my favorite show. I evven did a speech project on the one episode where House has to tell the 3 stories to that classroom full of interns. I'm also a fan of Smallville.

When it comes to video games, I'm all over Super Smash Brothers Melee. Me and my friends play that all the time, and I'm one of the better players in my group of friends. When I'm not playing that, however, I like to unwind by playing Pokemon. Yes, I'm one of the few people who play it, but I could give a damn what everyone else thinks, because the game is still awesome.

RPG's and fighting games tend to get the most attention from me in general, including Final Fantasy 8 and 9 (I can't stand 7, which is something the entire world would like to smack me for), most fighters made by Capcom, and Tales of Symphonia.

SSBM is one of my favorite Game cube games. I'm not amazing at it, but not horrible, either.

And I can't blame you for playing pokemon. Those games are far too addictive-you really do have to catch them all. Yellow was my favorite (mainly because it was the most like the TV show. And you got followed around by pikachu, which was just plain awesome).

Oh yeah, I forgot about Yellow!

Lately, I've been doing stuff for the skool newspaper (since classes started already, blech), and I might even be getting my own opinion article.

Yuck, I'm sorry school already started for you. I don't start 'til after Labor Day.

So, if you were to get this opinion article, you could just write about whatever you wanted to each week, right? That sounds like it'd be pretty cool.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 25, 2006 11:57 am

Yeah, I could write pretty much almost anything I wanted to. I already got the green light from the person in charge of the Opinions section, too. I don't know what I wanna write about first, though. I have about a week and a half to decide, too.

You could always do some sort of satire. Stuff like that tends to go over well with students (or so it seems).
