I was driving along with my girlfriend in her car, when (it was like 1 AM?) this plasma... energy light... thing, I have no idea how to describe it, hit the hood of the car and the ground in front of us and disappeared suddenly.
It didn't leave any marks, no noise, and was only for a moment. We both observed it.
It was a very, very bright white, and had no definite shape, but it seemed almost liquid.
She later said she observed this same stuff in the underbrush of several trees aprox half a mile from where this first ocurred, except they stayed. I drove back to her house with her, cause she was coming to pick me up... I did not see the same plasma bright energy stuff (Even though it was extremely white and "bright" it did not give off a intense amount of light... it did not blind us or anything), but what we did saw on our way back was random strips of the air seemed to... have random light reflected back at us sorta like a mirror. It was strange.
I say mirror, because it truly seemed to be like a mirror, but with light. I could swear it off as random fog we encountered, but ... very hard to say that.
Offer any explainations? @.@ confused

Could you check images of ball lightning to see if what you saw resembles it?

It sounds like St. Elmo's fire, or something like that.

I looked up both on google, couldn't find anything that resembled it.
It was very fluid, like a blanket mass...
Like I said, my only encounter was of it on the hood of the car and ground, and it came down fast, and was gone fast. But it made no noise, effected no part of the car (electricity that looked like that would bound to mess up the headlights or something?), left no marks, no noise, no residue.
If I hadnt' seen it WITH her, I would've shrugged it off as a play on my mind from being tired.~

VorpalNeko Could you check images of ball lightning to see if what you saw resembles it? I don't know if I've ever actually seen even pictures of it since it's so rare, but yeah I agree that sounds just like ball lightning. Ball lightning is basically electrified plasma that has mass. The mass would give it the trait of falling slowly to the ground and rolling like what you described. Since it's plasma, it may take on a shape other than a sphere, like the blanket you described. It's not paranormal or anything, just extremely rare compared to it's counterparts.
