Decora is a Japanese clothing trend started in the late '90's. The following in depth definition is courtesy of UrbanDictionary, and edited for content ^__^ Decora-chans wear mostly simple clothes and endeavor to appear as kawaii as possible by decorating themselves excessively with accessories used with clothing that is bright, fuzzy, and innocent. Shoes are often oversized and shirts are almost always too tight. Popular items that decoras use to decorate themselves with include: Hello Kitty merchandise, Pokemon merchandise, Powerpuff Girl merchandise, pacifiers, excessive jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets, big plastic rings, an abundance of keychains, stuffed animals of various sorts, and obscure toyss. Popular items with female decoras are dolls and flowers. Popular items with male decoras are inflatable guitars and neon plastic waterguns.Decora-chans are not unlike a kandee kid and only differ in that they dress to look as cute as possible as opposed to dressing for a subculture.
Here are some examples of Decora:
DISCUSS: -Decora in general -Other odd Japanese Fashion trends -Decora's not so obvious ties to the Goth-Loli style.

Lolita. Hella weird. I don't know why all the little white girls love it so much and want to be it. It's a maid sex slave and that's the truth. I've had many-a-stupid arguements with girls who totally denied it. GUARDERS? FISHNETS AND REVEALING CLEVAGE? Sorry, Lolitas are SO life-sized sex dolls.

Little 11 year olds trying to be lolita is like inviting a ***** to their front door. I mean like, Lolita originates from that one French guy's novel about an older man lusting after little girls. EW@LOLICON. D: It's definitly for the older mature persons category, because at least they know what the things they are wearing represent.

Yawrh. >_>;;;;;;;;; Well, actually.. I'm kinda.. @_@ Um. Please don't be mad at me everyone, but I have to defend the lolitas now. T__T;
I have read the book Lolita by Vladamir Nabokov. I understand Lolita is a "promiscuous adolescent girl". ;_;''' That's what makes it so alluring. Also, most Japanese lolitas' rules are: No boobs, no legs, no butts, and if you show any of these, you are 'ero-loli' (erotic lolita) and can't really be called a 'true lolita'. ;_;'''' Erm, as I said before, please don't be mad.
Japanese lolitas are not meant to be revealing in the LEAST bit. At all. Period. The are meant to be cute, young, and yes, attractive to *****, I won't deny that.. X_X; Um. But. I really think that as a style, lolitas should not be compared any more to books and definitions anymore that 'goth' or 'punk' or 'prep' should.
...;_; we're people too.
Also. Decora-- super kawaii~! ^O^; Umm..I definately love the cute over-kill look. Anything big, fuzzy, pink, red, white, light blue.. X_X And hair clips.. I love them.. ;_;''''''
(you may shoot me for the excess of smilies I used, but this was a very emotional post for me. T___T;;; )
