((This RP was made intended for Acia and Pueblo to discuss the newly found artifacts.))

Pueblo scarcely went to the Centre by herself. Her eyes stared into her memory, remembering when Fae would hold her hand as they walked in together. Only, Fae wasn't here now, and she had to learn to do things on her own. She just couldn't get over how odd and empty she felt as she stepped into the man-made building. It felt uncomfortable in the silence- not even her twitching ears could pick up anything. Her tail drooped and slid across the ground as she crossed the room. She hugged her parcel in her arms, remembering the task at hand. Now where was Acia's room again?

Finally coming across a door that looked familiar, she stopped in front of it and paused for a moment. She looked left and right down the hall, blinking as if expecting someone to pop out. But they didn't, and it was still quiet. She didn't want to break the silence with her knock, but the parcel exerted weight. She stretched her hand out, curled into a fist, then knocked gently on the door. "A-Acia? Are you there?" She stood there puzzled, not sure what to do now. So she waited.

Acia had been sitting in silence, poring over a few newly found items from the Ai'Ilyn. Work had just been restarted on the site after months of painstaking work geting the digsite back into shape after the quake. Some artifacts seem to have been lost forever in the maelstrom. She titched as the knock came on the door, her hands slipping slightly as she orked to remove the tiny sand grains from the precious objects.

Hearing her name called she scooted down into the main room and over to the door, opening it at first warily and then wide when she recognised the other. "Pueblo!" she smiled, standing aside so that the other could enter. "Is everything ok?" Acia had been plagued by a slight feeling of foreboding since Nehanda had left. She wondered how the other young Aerandir was getting on with her experiment....

"Come in, come in.." she said to Pueblo.

Pueblo's ears instantly stood as the door swung open. She was greeted by a cheerful face, giving her the chance to finally breath with relief. Smiling back at Acia, glad to see her, she tucked her chin upon the bag and stepped inside, careful of her wide wings not to catch on the door frame. She glanced around the room, quickly assuming they were alone.

"Everything is fine," she calmly replied, now turning to the other Aerandir. "But they really ought to make doors wider for our wings," she joked, quivering her feathers. However, her chuckle trailed off and Pueblo looked at Acia more seriously. "Actually, I wanted to show you something." Pueblo glanced side-to-side again, raising the bag to their attention. "I found that place in my dream. And I found these objects that were in it too. But I don't know what they are," she said quickly, her voice softening to a wisper. "I thought you would like to look at them, because I don't know what they are exactly. But they feel important."

Acia was glad to hear the other Aerandir as well. She felt as though she had accepted Nehanda and Pueblo as her siblings and wanted to be a good big sister. "They really didn't take our wings into consideration, did they?" Acia pondered this, thinking of the small space which she got into her attic room by.

"Ohh..." Acia breathed out softly as Pueblo mentioned items. She had always ben interested in archaeology, the history of their people and was always eager to learn more. She ushered Pueblo over to the low table in the middle of the room and asked her to sit, settling herself on one of the large, comfortable floor pillows Foenix had given them.

"If you put them on the table I'll see if I can help you, then." she grinned, leaning back as she sat, using her wings to balance, and grabbed a stout book with a dusty, worn, leather cover. It was a basic reference book which she hoped might help her identify the objects Pueblo had brought.

Pueblo nodded and did as she was told. Walking around the table to seat across from Acia, she lowered onto her knees. She could feel herself sinking into the squishy pillow and shifted around for that perfect position. Her hands unstrapped the pack and lifted, carrfully, one item out at a time.

Pueblo sat the wrapped object on the table and undid the cloth. A dark brown, dirty hunk of something sat on the table, soon joined by three others. "I tried to remove as much dirt I could with my paintbrush, but I was afraid I'd remove something important if I continued any," she said. Pueblo looked at the heavy book on the table, her eyebrows raising. Now, she'd get to see Acia is action!

Acia sat for a moment, quietly, staring at the objects. A few of the things she could easily recognise. She picked one up "Ochre" another "and charcoal... drawing implements. Often used in both human and Aerandir cave art. You'd probably be best not cleaning these off much you'll just wear them down. You could even use them if you just rubbed them on some stone until you got through to the surface of them." as much as they might have been artifacts Acia knew they could be found anywhere and it was better to use something for it's purpose than put it behind glass and stare at it. It was one area in which she and Alyosha disagreed.

The other things she picked up gently, twisting them in her fingers so that she could examine them. She didn't need her staff for such jobs, there wasn't much earth on these and it wasn't bonded too much with the objects, she could feel that. She concentrated and the dirt covering the small objects began to peel back and slough off. The minerals seemed to be alive as they fell back.

Now uncovered, the item sat naked in Acia's hand. It was small and shaped like a gryphon. She examined all of the similar items Pueblo had found. Some had wings, some had tails and ears, some had both. Interesting. "They seem to be some sort of representation of gryphons but.. some are just animals, some birds. " she referred to her book a few times then back to the items. "There's been a few finds like this - animal artifacts along with what appear to be gryphons.

The humans think the old Aerandir used to worship animal deities but.. well... you've seen the two." Acia didn't like to say the godesses names but she knew Pueblo would know who she referred to. "But these seem to be children, too, young forms of the goddesses..

Ahh I don't know, sorry, I'm rambling. " she smiled shyly, aware she had been going on a bit. "They are, it appears, neckalce ornaments. Possibly amulets. I think you might have been shown them as an example of what others of your type used to make? Perhaps some inspiration? I'm not sure... Who can tell with the godsses.. they give dreams with riddles... You'll be able to understand your own dream better than I can... what do you think?"

Pueblo sat with her fist in her chin, listening intently to what Acia had to say. She nodded slowly, strands of her long hair floating around her shoulders. "I wonder if there are any other places that have cave art?" She only recalled these images in her dreams, which, dissapointed her. She felt a great tie to cave art- it was like another language that came natural to her whereas humans needed translating books.

However, as Acia's hands started moving quicker, Pueblo regained her focus. Her eyes danced with astonishment as the dirt peeled away in shavings, never seeing anything quite like that before. Studying the little clay animal in Acia's hand, she struggled to make sense of it. "That part makes sense...I've been given the gift to use clay, but hadn't had a real reason to. But I still don't see how it fits. I mean, our kind haven't had a reason to worship these ornaments for years, so why now is this brought to our attention?" Seemingly puzzled more than before, Pueblo was still anxious to follow in her ancestors' steps.

The youthful Aerandir sat back for a moment, her green eyes intense as she considered the objects and Pueblo's question. "Our kind haven't been here for years, when you think of it, though." she replied, slowly, an idea forming in her mind. "I mean... before the humans came and created Rahujo... there were no Aerandir here and from what I can gather from books there haven't been for a long, long time." She rolled her shoulders a little, letting her wings tense and loosen again to relieve a little cramp in them without spreading them wide.

"I don't even know if we're supposed to 'worship' them.. They don't feel warm like the goddesses do. Perhaps they are just trinkets to remind us of the goddesses or... " she broke off. "I really don't know, Pueblo.." she sighed, a little frustrated that she couldn't figure this puzzle out. "The humans could have it all wrong, so could we. My first instinct, on seeing these, would be to wear one but not to worship it..." Her slim body slumped back.

"As for caves.. I wouldn't be surprised at all if many of the cave systems around the Islands have such art and artefacts in them. Perhaps that was truly the message of the goddesses.. for you to find that out?" still her voice was hesitant, unsure. "I truly don't know.. I don't understand them or their ways any more than you, Pueblo.. I just always feel in their presence that they want us to be strong and that hteir gifts and dreams are a way to help us be strong - maybe by recovering our lost past.." it was a long, unusually emotional outburst from the leonine Aerandir but the thought had been pent p inside her for some time. She looked shyly at Pueblo, a little embarrassed in front of the tawny, wolfish Aerandir.

Pueblo pursed her lips as her vivid green eyes blinked behind her long eyelashes. One of her ears were sticking straight up, matching how she sat, whereas the other ear limped even with her head. She always looked up to Acia as an Aerandir that knew everything-- or at least more than Pueblo-- about ancient Aerandir History. The wolfish girl's shoulders relaxed, a little dissapointed that she would be leaving with more questions than she came with. However, as her mind reeled over what Acia had said, a small bud of excitment sprouted inside of her. There were caves to investigate and stories to descover! She didn't even notice Acia's embarassment since most the time Pueblo spoke with passion anyway. She did catch her timid smile and was aware of how Acia was, so Pueblo smiled back surely.

"Well I'm certainly ready to find out! I'll start by threading one of these lovely artifcats and ware it around for a few days." Grabbing one like she would an apple, she chose the dovish-gryphon and wrapped it seperately. "Would you like to keep any of these with you?" Maybe they would help Acia with her research, she thought.

She looked at the small pile of trinkets and then back to Pueblo. She would have loved to ha kept one but, at the same time, this was a gift from the goddessed to Pueblo and she didn't think she should. "You should probably keep them with you, make sure they're safe. They're your gift from the goddess afterall!" she smiled and helped wrap the small trinkets up, carefully handling them as she was so afraid they'd break.

The slim youth got to her feet and stretched out, her tail sticking out for balance. She shook her bushy mane of hair as if to loosen her mind up and then looked back at Pueblo, eyes gleaming. "It's been so exciting all o these discoveries... as if we're finally finding ourselves again!" It was at moments like this when her fierce, strong leonine sid shone through and you could tell she had a part of the big cat in her spirit.
