.P R I V A T E.
[July 08, 2008]
Lorina & Erol

Lunch at school was quite boring for him, as he watched the students move about. He poked at an unknown meat product on his plate deciding he wasn't hungry when some strange ooze jutted out of a hole he poked into it. "Oh god..." he muttered. "Someone should fire that lunch lady."

His comment didn't go unheard as a few students chuckled at his remark. He however didn't find it so funny his mood rather sour today. After being scolded one could hardly feel good about themselves. He pushed his tray away from him and lay his head on the table forlornly. "Boooooring...." he chimed. Looking around the cafeteria he spotted a familiar blonde who he could tolerate among other kids in this school. "Yo! Lori-kins over here!" He called to her hoping she'd see him as he waved his good arm in the air.

Lorina pushed some blond hair from her eyes, thin metallic bracelets skittering about her arm as she moved it, and shoved the bag lunch Airaka packed in her bag everyday, though she had enough sense to pull out the small bag of cookies her guardian had made the other day. She then rushed over to line up with the rest of her friends, chatting about whatever happened to be the topic, today it seemed to be the fire alarm a couple days ago. They were still complaining about having to go outside.

As the group started back to their self designated table, she heard her nickname being called out from halfway across the cafeteria. Giggling broke out from her group, and she grinned back at them, turning toward the one who called her name. One of the girl's nudged her back, and her green eyes glanced over her shoulder at the girls, who had clumped into a group behind her.
"Well...?" one girl asked, glancing over at Erol, before back at Lorina.

Lorina chuckled warmly at them, then crossed the cafeteria towards Erol. Setting her lunch down opposite of him, she took a seat, and smiled at him. She stared at his lunch, then to her own, moving it away and placing the cookies on the table, in case Erol wanted any.
"Hey. How's the arm?"
She gave him a worried expression, starring at the arm in the sling. Leaning forward, she grabbed a cookie, pushing it into her mouth, and snapping it in half, and chewing on the piece in her mouth.

Erol grunted at the question shrugging. "I'll live I guess..." he said eyeing the cookie. He reached out for once deciding it was better than what he had at the moment. He'd just eat when he got home...

"I'm so bored today. Its like school was made to bore kids into growing up faster or something...gawd!" he grumbled glaring at the cookie in his hand. He ate the rest of it and sat back staring over to Lori. "Ooh. Did you get some new threads?" he asked noting her new outfit. "Looks nice." he offered nonchalantly taking a peek at the girls she had left. They seemed to be in giggles.

He turned brown eyes to green ones with a smug expression on his face. He looked off into space not really addressing her directly, "You know, been meaning to ask... you wanna catch a movie with me? Been dying to see that new Pirates movie. That's if you're into that sorta thing?"

Lorian smiled at him, playing with the other half of her cookie between her fingers. She cast a glance at the cookies, thankful he had taken one, rather then leaving her gift alone.
"That's good to know, isn't it?"
She giggled, and took another bite of her cookie.

Her green eyes traveled around the lunch area as Erol spoke, nodding her head as if she agreed with his statment. Lorina and school had a different relationship; she didn't act out, and school didn't place to many harsh or boring situations in her way. She blinked back as he comlimented her cloathing, and grinned cheerfully.
"Thanks! That's sweet of you. You look cool, too."

She blinked, watching him look at her, then away. Pausing in her movements to put the rest of the cookie in her mouth, she listened to his question. Lorina giggled, a faint pink blush tinting her cheeks.
"Of course. I'd love to go. I've been meaning to check that movie out, but none of my friends really wanted to see it, unless to giggles about the actors. "
She grinned, and nodded her head, pushing the chocolate cookie in her mouth.

"Giggle...what's to giggle about?" He questioned frowning a bit at that. He never did understand girls and their useless ways. Who went to the movies to giggle over actors anyway...? "Yeah well leave those prattling chumps at home. I can tolerate you but the lot of them..." he eyed her friends with an irritated glance before turning up his nose.

"So if you're free after school maybe I can come get you at eight?" He asked turning a lazy gaze upon her. "We'll have to catch the bus...I'm not exactly strapped with transportation just yet." He chuckled a bit turning a warning glare on a boy that walked past. It was known, Erol got into a lot of fights around school some enterily his fault the others... still his fault but without his awareness. Either way he was quite the troublesome lad.

Lorina chuckled, and rolled her green eyes at him.
"They think the actors are hot. Have you ever seen a girls locker? "
She shook her head, turning her gaze towards her friends, as well. They seemed to have been watching the pair for a while now, but turned away as Lorina glanced over at them, the group leaning together.
"Of course they won't be coming with us. Dates are usually between two people, you know. "

"Yup. Eights fine, I'm usually done everything by then."
It also gave her sometime to get ready for the movie.
"The bus is fine, too. I usually walk everywhere, anyway."
Airaka didn't feel cars were nessecary, so their outtings consited of other means of transportation. Lorina blinked, turning to the boy Erol was glaring at. She raised a hand to the boy, and he grinned back. Looking back at Erol, she smiled, grabbing another cookie, then pushing the bag towards him.

"You can have the rest. I don't think that lunch is safe. The lunch lady needs a new cook book."
She got to her feet, grabbing both their school lunches from the table.
"Looks like the bells going to ring soon, so I'll see you at you eight, 'kay?"
It became obvious a couple seconds later, she wouldn't be walking back to class with Erol as her friends swarmed her as she left the grabadge can. She gave him one last wave, before her group pushed through the doors.

Erol smirked as Lorina was practically carried off by her friends. Their squeals of delight wasn't missed by Erol. "Girls." he muttered and took the bag of cookies placing them in his nap sack. His own friends found him at that point and they all went back to class.

The day went by fairly well, still boring as ever. The end of school marked a sigh of relief for the youth as he made his way out of the building. Kids were eager to get to their homes or chat with their friends as they all seemed to skitter about like ants.

Erol found shade under a tree where he leaned against it waiting for Akila to come pick him up. Usually she'd make him take the bus but to keep him out of trouble for a while she decided she'd drop him off and pick him up. He shuffled through his napsack pulling out his usual iPod. Currently he was listening to 'Miss Murder by A Fire Inside'.

"Hey miss murder can I...hey miss murder can I..." Erol sang along to the beat waving at his friends as they rushed passed to catch their rides.

Last period had ended with a few cheers from her class, due to the fact they had had to take a math test. Lorina was quite happy herself, for she had finished the test fairly early. She and her friends made their way outside, one of them making another comment about her furture date, before the group broke up, people heading in groups toward their buses.

Lorina waved fairwell to her friends, and turned away from the buses, starting down the open sidewalk. She let out a yawn,, and shifting her bag on her back, her green eyes spotted Erol between all the other kids. When she reached him, she knelt down beside him, waving her hand infront of his face, in an attempt to drag his attention from his iPod.

"Don't you usually take the bus?" she questioned of him.
Unlike most students at the school, Lorina walked home, and usually did so alone, unless someone had decided they would walk with her. She tucked some blond hair behind her ears, and grinned at him.

Erol was content to just doze off and listen to his iPod if that was the case. He had some chores to take care of at home but wasn't looking forward to that. At the slight shift in the atomsphere he opened his eyes smirking lightly at Lorina. Snagging her wrist to stop her hand in front of his face he eyed her a moment nonchalantly. "Yeah...usually." He answered her question and released her wrist.

"My guardian is picking me up for a while. Guess she didn't like the idea of me ditchin so is checking up on me." He turned the volume to his iPod down only a soft hum of his music could be heard in the background.

Shuffling in his bag he pulled out a piece of paper. "Its my cell number..." He began and held the paper away from her for a second "...don't let those ninnies get ahold of it." he warned then handed the paper off.

At that time a horn honked and he looked up to find Akila waiting. "That's my ride..." He eyed Akila then looked at Lorina. "Want a ride? Heck I could walk home with you if I asked."

Lorina was a bit surprised he had snatched her wrist like, attempting to tug it from his grasp instantly. When he released her hand with the statement, she pulled it close to her chest, a bit of an annoyed look showing in her green eyes. Though she was more annoyed with herself for not being able to free herself.

"I see. You must ditch more then I thought you did."
She winked at him, grabbing his cell phone number, glancing over it before sticking it in her pocket.
"Don't worry. Those "ninnies" won't touch it."
Lorina rolled her eyes getting back to her feet, brushing invisable dirt off her skirt.

Glancing over her shoulder at the honking car, she shrugged her shoulders.
"I'd rather walk home, no offence. "
It seemed some of Airaka's tree hugging values had brushed off on her.
"Though, I'm not going to stop you from asking her if you can walk home with me."
Lorina grinned warmly, and waited for what would be the response, her fingers tapping against each other.

"Yeah whatever..." he muttered standing to his feet. He went to talk to Akila a moment a few words exchanged. Akila seeming miffed and yelling at the boy as he yelled back. Quite a difference from his usual bored nonchalance during school.

He came jogging back stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Well?" he asked waiting for her to start off not entirely sure where she lived or in the general direction. It would be good to walk her back home to learn this fact considering he would be back to pick her up.

He had his iPod with him but he didn't bother turning it on this time, not wanting to be completely rude. But if she began to prattle about uninteresting things he'd surely turn it on.

Lorina had herself poised on her heel, watching the exchange of words between guardian and child. She was quite intrested with his sudden gain of, what could be called, rude attitude. Streatccing her arms infront of her, she turned her attention to the side walk ahead of her, checking whether or not someone else was walking the same direction she would be.

"That way."
Adjusting the strap on her small bag as it began falling down her shoulder again, she pointed down the direction she had been gazing towards with her other hand. She started forward, beginning to walk forward, with a short gaze over her shoulder to make sure he was following.

Lorina placed her hands together, wondering what to talk about with Erol. He wasn't like her friends, so she couldn't start rambling off about other boys, or clothing, and she wasn't like the couple boys she had spent time with, she would usually just listen to what they had to say then, chirping in every so often.

Erol seemed to like music, though she didn't usually listen to music, though that may mean he had intrest in some other electonics. Pulling her hands from each other, and letting them hang with a slight wave, she decided she'd focus on that topic.
"What type of games do you play?"

An eyebrow arched in piqued curiosity. Did she know about games? Was she trying to fish information from him? He mulled over her question a moment seemingly long enough to make her worry and sweat. When he was satisfied of the length of time they walked in silence he replied, "First person shooters, roleplay, platforms...just about anything if its worth my time." he said breezily rewarding her with a smile.

"You play games?" he asked then, deciding he'd endulge her with a bit of conversation. Perhaps it was best to get this outta the way before tonight. He'd so hate to have her prattle on during the movie.

Lorina had begun to transfer her attention to the area around her, that odd black bug walking by Erol's shoes, the license plates on the back of peoples cars attempting to find a pattern, and the houses that had started appearing now that they had left school area, when Erol finally replied.

She blinked, the looked over at him, stopping at the crosswalk for the cars to go by, thinking over her own answer to the question.
"Mainly just RPGs... I kind of get bored with games that repeat themselves."
Lorina crossed the street as the cars stopped.
"Which RP is your favorite?"

He smirked good answer. "Yeah same here...actually the game I'm interested in now isn't really an RPG. Its Disgaia. It is rather repetative but I kinda like the fact I can level up, go to different worlds...and gather an army." He said, alright she wasn't half bad. He supposed he could ask her a girly question.

"So do you like to shop." Truth be told he loved shopping. Cloths, games, electronics...he loved it. He just kept it under wraps.
