I know there are a bunch of Gai moments worth mentioning so share your favorite with us. I have a couple that stand out in my mind at the moment.
The scene where Gai is supporting Lee to go through with the surgery to fix his arm and leg. It was so touching, "if you die then ill die with you" crying i wish i has a role model like that in my life.
The other one was during the plems and Kakashi looked over at Gai and Gai saw him looking. Then in the next frame out of no where he flashes him a smile and give him a thumbs up, i know its a short part, but I thought i was so funny, a classic Gai moment

My fav. Is the first time he shows up. When Lee is about to open a can of pwn on Sasuke and changes from the turtle. And i laughed. And i was like he is my hero!

Omg.so many favorites.
First is the "If you die, I'll die with you" scencewith lee.
Seconds is afro Gai.
Third is the "Hip and modern pisses me off scene.
fourth is the "wtf" scene when his squats and wiggles his fingers xD.
Fifth is the scene i like to call the macorana(sp?) scence when his chanlleging kakashi.

1) Afro Gai ( hes just out there)
2) When he shouts random stuff at Lee and Lee sceams back, " Gai Sensei!" and as it continues, you get the beach, the waves, the XOXO and running into teh sunset with tears of joy...as Neji and Tenten look at eachother with the looks that say ," Why are we here?"
3) When he saves Lee from dying at Gaaras hand and says hes a genius of hard work and cries cuz Lee gets back up ready for more.( I cant remember the whole thing )

OOO I love that too!!! And when Lee is jumping up and down and Lee punches him because he isnt paying attention and then he just sits there reading to listen. I thought that was the best.

I'm not very far in the manga, I'm at Vol. 17, but I thought it was cool when the Ninja faded through the building to attack Sakura, Naruto, and Shikamaru and Gai burst in to save them. He smiles and jumps out the hole (as I remember)

Every single I time I see the scene where Gai-sensei saves Lee from Gaara's sand, then Lee gets up even though he's unconcious and Gai starts crying...I feel like I'm gonna start crying, too. By far, one of my favourite Gai scenes _ever_.
I also love the scene where he kicks Jiraiya xd He just pops out of nowhere, I love it.

Anything with Gai-sensei in it I love! Expecially when Gai-sensei and Lee are in momets together!
Example:
"Gai-sensei!" *tears*
"Lee!" *tears*
*hug*
