Name: Dia [Dee-ah]
Origin: Spanish meaning 'Day'
Gender: Female
Age: Teen

Likes: bright sunlight wih fluffy clouds, sunrises and meeting new people.
Dislikes: not understanding the world around her, mean people, rain, and nighttime.

History: When Dia was just a pup, she lived a very happy carefree life. In fact, she had no complaints whatsoever. Then one day her small pack was plagued by 'men'. Too young to really comphrend Dia was taken up and three holes were punched into her ear to be adorned with jewlery. Little did she know she was supposed to be sold as some sort of sacred creature by the tribesmen that took her. But, Dia had a chance to excape. Her mother and father picked up on her scent and came to the villiage where 'man' had taken her. While the blood began to spill, Dia tore off as fast as her legs would carry her.

This of course left a big problem. She never looked back, she just...ran. Which meant that she had no idea where she was going. It was when she stopped running that she finally realized she was truly all alone.

Personality: Like her namesake, night doesn't stay long with this wolf. She's ever optimistic and believes truly, that life is what you make of it. She's also interested in the world around her and especially those in it. Always curious.

Name: Luz [Loo-se]
Origin: Spanish meaning 'Light'
Gender: Female

Personality: Like most squirrels Luz is as hyperactive and jittery as they come. She likes nothing better then to be on the go, always moving and Dia thankfully doesn't find it very hard to keep up with her. Luz as hard as it may to grasp at times, also is the voice of reason for Dia. She's quick to point out the good and bad side of everything, looking at it through analytical eyes and because of this, Luz always imparts good wisdom.

Am鬩e - A seer wolf that Dia can't help but look up to, even though she doesn't know she's actually a seer. The golden one just knows she's quite wise and has a good assesment on everything around her.
Tanryoku - Dia met him when he was just a pup. Finds him very playful and fun loving. Can be a bit cocky at times, but she finds that to be very funny.

Dia/Amelie - Learning things

Werewolf

The world might have been ending. Or at least it might have seemed that way if anyone had come walking into the clearing that bright spring morning. It was still rather early, although all of the morning mist had finally been shoved away by the pale rays of the sun. Temperatures had not risen yet, but there was a certain level of humidity in the air which seemed to foreworn that it soon would. An odd setting for the subsequent apocalypse, but, upon further inspection it was very apparent that something was definitely odd about the clearing that morning.

A small pale wolf sat off left of the thickly greened earth, her tail wound along her waist and her body remaining perfectly still. Despite her near frozen movements, a smile was stricken across her face, and she seemed to be moments from erupting in happy yips. Sightless eyes drifted lazily at nothing, but by the arch of her neck it was very clear that she was intently focusing on something around her ankles. From a distance, they might have seemed like small puppies. But when one rose itself onto it's hind legs, it quickly became apparent that the tiny creatures surrounding the small female were hardly of the canine orient.

They were large, rather fat brown rabbits. Five of them in fact, sniffing around at Am鬩e and seemingly considering something rather peculiar. Am鬩e, however, kept still and tried to keep herself from being ecstatic. She had been trying for months to get the rabbits of this particular warren to become used to her presence, and she had had to plead quite a bit with her mind to reach the foreign dialect of the rabbits. They had wanted nothing to do with her at first (in fact, she'd gotten quite a few rabbit curses.) Now however, after months of persistence, she had managed to get them out to come look at her.

The big one. Thought one rabbit, which pinged off Am鬩e's mind. She wriggled pleasantly, and flattened her ears.

Who said everything a seer did had to be meaningful?

ChevalBunita

Lost. Her small mind could barely comphrend the meaning of the word attached to her fear. But truly that was what the small golden and white pup was. Completely and utterly lost. And how long had it been? Days weeks....how many moons had passed since she had first laid eyes on her family or the men, those which were called 'human' who had tried to take them from her. Wanted her all to themselves they did, only the three rings in her ear the tell tale reminder of how close she had been to being snatched up and swept into a world not her own. But, three wholes and impure silver were not the only reminder. Looking around at the too high tree branches and the distant birdsong that sounded like demonic cauterwhaling she knew that the next reminder was her confusion and lonliness. She had a deep nagging sensation that she really was alone now. That she would never see her family or siblings again.

What am I to do? She mentally whimpered all onto herself as she continued to pad along in an unknown direction. All at once the golden ball of fur stopped and stilled. Her ears perking and her pale blue eyes widening. She had heard something! Oh if only she was bigger.....then then...well maybe then she wouldnt be so fearful!

Werewolf
The small creatures maneuvered around her, pleasing the small female to no end. She had no answer as to why they delighted her, or why she had worked so hard to get them to accept her as some sort of strange rabbit. When she was young, just a little girl, she had never had many friends. In fact- up until Phib, she had never really had anyone. She had used to make up little stories about the animals around her. And the one in particular she enjoyed were those of the lupine origin. They were not strong like deer. The staple diet for most wolves, and Am鬩e felt tragedy in that. Too much love for a small heart.

But despite her pleasantries with the peculiar rabbit kind, she began to be faintly aware of a dull sadness forming in the back of her mind. It soon wheedled at her, and she could not ignore it. Slowly she rose to her feet- an act which sent the rabbits scattering back to their burrows, and walked a bit further into the field.

A ping. Man, an ear. Loneliness. Am鬩e tilted her head softly to the side, and crooked her tail. "Hello, little one." She said softly to the absent field, although she knew her voice was within range.

ChevalBunita

If Dia's body could grow to be more frozen then it were now, then she would have been long since ice. The fluff ball's heart instantly gave a jolt as her water-like eyes began ticking around to see if she could pinpoint whoever it was who had just spoken those words. Whoever it was she knew had to be a female and well, she seemed.......kind? Yes, the words were soft spoken and even through her fear Dia knew it wasn't meant in ill will. Unless...

Dia began to look around for a new target, thinking that no one in their right mind would be kind to a stranded pup who didn't even know which way was up. But no, the golden pup could see that she was the only 'little one' around. Mustering up the little bits of courage she still possessed she raised herself slightly and merely answered with an equally kind, "hello...."

Werewolf
Am鬩e frowned, and lowered her deadened eyes, considering slowly the thoughts that were running across her. She did not like to intrude, so she allowed it only for a few brief seconds. Enough to understand that she was afraid, and something lonesome- but then, she severed connection and quieted her mind. Children- no good would ever come from abusing their honest thoughts. Softly, the grey rose to the balls of her feet and took a few steps forward, her mind only flinching enough to locate the objects nearest to her and avoid them.

She was getting very good at this kind of walking. She had almost developed it enough to create a fuzzy picture of the world. But Am頤id worry that focusing too hard might have adverse effects as well. She only wanted to see them vaguely, not swallow up every lingering thought left upon them. Slowly, the end of her tail wriggled, and the small female yipped softly to the still hidden child. "Hehe. Hi-" She responded again. "My eyes are not being so good, yes? No need to come out- but, forgive if I am not looking the eyes right." She remarked somewhat garbled, and flattened her ears apologetically. "I am Am鬩e. Who are you?"

ChevalBunita

All fear was almost forgotten as Dia watched the display with great interest. She had never seen another wolf do such a feet! Sure, she was still young so everything about the world was new and fresh to her, and she hadn't known that many wolfs to compare, but still somehow she knew what she was seeing was a rarity. In fact, everything about this wolf seemed rare, from the soft voices to the other creatures nearby, squirrels? noo, that wasn't the right word.....Rabbits! Truly, Dia felt like she was in wonderland and this new wolf was a gem among the stones, she would have to make a note to tell...

Oh wait. She didn't HAVE anyone to tell! Such a thought was disheartening in itself, and she quickly began to feel her somber and dreary mood try to creep back upon her. But, then again...this was new, she should treat it like an adventure or something! It was better then letting her sadness get the best of her.

"Hello Am鬩e," Dia said in what hoped was a curt voice, "I'm Dia...." she cocked her head to the side, now wanting to reign loads of questions at the female, but she hung back, not wanting to be rude.

Werewolf
Am鬩e's yellow tipped tail swayed back and forth excitedly, and she made a soft lope to the left, somewhat adjacent to where she felt the child at. She did not come too close yet, for still, she could feel uncertainty about her. Not particularly aimed at herself- but, Dia seemed to have much sorrow in her. The sorrow burned at Am駳 own heart, and she had to swallow it down in order to keep it from appearing on her face. She hated to see sadness in children...

It was unfortunate she was so wary in revealing herself, for Am鬩e would have loved to answer questions. They might have been odd, and uninformative answers, but she loved to respond to others. But perhaps it would be best to set the small female at ease first. That would mean not asking her why she was on her own.

"Dia?" She spoke. "That is a pretty name. Small names are very meaningful, I think. You can tell a lot about a person from their name, yes? How are you today?"

ChevalBunita

Dia felt herself calming slightly, something about the female wolf put her troubled mind at ease, even if the feelings were only fleeting. "thank you," she said feeling her tail began to wag slowly back and forth against her legs, a good sign. "Mmhmm, Dia means 'day'....I guess that's why my mother decided to call me that cause of my bright coat." thinking on that made her sting slightly so she quickly thought upon the next question. Which did her no better. "I'm...." how was she? Could she bear her soul to this wolf? She felt that she could. Dia would have no trouble telling anyone anything. She was just an honest spirit. "I'm lost....and afraid....not...not of you," she added quickly, "just because."

She mentally scolded herself with such a vague answer and decided to change the subject. "And your name? What does it mean?"

Werewolf
"Day? A good symbol. Nothing will ever keep day down for too long." She smiled, and nodded her head. "It just needs some time to break from the darkness. Then, everything is alright, yes?" She had small ways of making a point, although she did not seem to let on she knew much about what she was saying.

A frown crossed about Amelie's face, and she pressed her ears against her head. "Bad feelings?" She spoke gently. "Sometimes we have to get lost to be found again. I am sure in time things will be better. I don't think the day could stay night for long."

"Mine? I do not know?" Am鬩e spoke honestly. "I have had many names. When I was born, my father named me Fourth, as I was fourth. And then it was Ryoku- but for now, I am Am鬩e. It is my name, more then the others."

ChevalBunita

Dia beamed. She had never really thought about it like that. Am鬩e's words rang so true. She had also held it that names and words were powerful, well if she was named after the blessed sunlight then truly the older wolf was light. The darkness couldnt' stay in for long! And with those simple thoughts and realizations Dia felt her heart warming as if like her namesake, she was rejuventating herself for this new life, this 'new day'. She knew that she would probably never see her loved onces again, and letting go was hard, but nothing in this world was forever.

She let a weary smile cross her maw, such big thoughts for such a little puppy, and then she looked up the wolf. "Well, I think it's beautiful all the same," she nodded, "Hey! Perhaps that's what your name means," she chirped, "Beautiful."

Werewolf
Amelie giggled, and flushed somewhat. "Hehe..." She could not find a smart saying for that, or even one of her manufactured dumb ones. Like most humble creatures she couldn?t particularly find herself all that beautiful. She was just an ordinary lady- although, she supposed Phib did hound after her for some reason. "Thank you. I do think it is a pretty name. I am hoping I do not take it down much." She grinned, and shook her tail again.

Her heart was calmed with the sudden burst of happy feelings from the child, and she felt the feeling roll down her chest and over her shoulders. She didn?t like to see sadness, and if even for the moment, she was ecstatic that the child was not so downtrodden. Too young to feel so sad- so much more of life! She did not doubt though that Dia would managed through anything she needed to. It was a good name, and she knew it spelled good for her future.

ChevalBunita

The tail continued to wag back and forth, back and forth. It was a relief not to feel so down and lonely. She wondered if all wolves around here were as kind as Amelie was. Looking up with her big pale blue eyes Dia grinned and asked, "Are there others with you?"

She wasn't sure if that question would read off well. She only wanted to know if they were the only wolves in this part of the world. She didn't know where she was or where she was going, but she liked to be somewhat prepared for what lay ahead of her.

Werewolf
"Others?" She smiled, and swayed her tail. "Dia is with me now." The female spoke, nodding her head affirmatively. But she did know the meaning of Dia's comment, so she shook her head softly at her own antics and corrected herself. "But, yes- I am with others, but they are not here with me. My mate lives a bit south of here. He is always running about with pack business, so sometimes I go wandering on my own. I am a bit late to meet him, actually." She added, almost mischeviously. "But he will not worry, so no worries." Actually- she'd already told him of the wonderful thing she'd accomplished with the rabbits, and had a feeling she'd given the poor man a headache.

"But there are many wolves in this wood. Very hard to be alone here." Am鬩e added.

ChevalBunita

Dia couldn't help but giggle slightly at the sound of 'mate'. Yes, despite being more then average at being wise beyond her ears and quickly taking in others' words to learn, the pup was still but a pup. And the mention of mates or family or anything of the nature made her giddy. Every fem's fantasy to be swept away by a big strong wolf to raise offspring to repeat the cycle. She had hoped one day she would be a good mother. And somewhere in the back of her mind she had hoped that one day she could be like this wolf. She still had an inner feeling that there was something different about her. Different among the others though Dia hadn't known meaning.

And at the prospect of not being alone the golden ball of fur let a goofy grin slip to her maw as she thought upon it. "For that I am glad," she said nodding, "I don't wish to be all alone. The world's a big place for a pup...and it sure is bigger when you're all alone." With that she bristled and raised herself up a little bit. "It was nice talking to you Am鬩e! Perhaps one day we shall meet again..." With that the young pup went trotting off to see what she could see.

Dia/Tanryoku - Best in the Woods...

Masked Rage
*Walking slowly through the woods Tanryoku looked all around. The world so big to him and unknown. Massive trees stood tall all around him, hiding aminals. He could take them all on though. And beat em' and eat em.*

"Yipe!"

*He had tripped over a root of a tree while he was boasting to himself. Lunging and nipping at the bark with his small teeth he looked like a little pink varmint. When he was sure this creature was dead he smirked to himself and once again began to walk through the narrow path*

ChevalBunita

Dia half closed her eyes as she let her nostrils flutter a bit, taking in the fresh crisp scent of midday. The life giving sun bright and golden up up in the heavens and breaking through the tree branches to beat down on her light coat. It was a good day indeed. The young pup let her tale wag back and forth, back and forth enjoying the newness of it all.

That was until her pale blue ice widen slightly as she heard a small yap not far away. Hmmmm, that sounded like someone around her age. Dia had only met one other wolf before. Oh this was curious indeed. Without a beat the pup began to softly pad over, looking around for who it might be.

Masked Rage
*Now slowly crawling through the path Tanryoku had spotted a bug. A big black bug with pinchers near its mouth. Slowly moving his Butt up into the air. His tail stuck out through air as his fur bristled a bit. Sliding a foot away from the creature he then pouched forward with the strength of a pup towards the bug.*

"Grawr!"

*Where the bug was supposed to be was a tiny hole now......Tanryoku had missed and went tumbling forward rolling into some weeds. .*

"Ouch"

*He now lay on his back. His back legs against the tree and he was looking up at the branches.*

"I got him so good it hurt me!"

ChevalBunita

When Dia finally made her way over to the source of the sound what she saw was a puppy tumbling forward and landing on his back. Instantly the golden ball of fluff sent out her own yap in the form of "Oh my!" and trotted over. She cocked her head to the side, unsure of what to do, afterall she was just a pup herself and she wasn't sure who this pup was. But, she still had to do something

"Uhm hello," She managed moving 'round and looking down at the pup, "do you uh....need any help?"

Masked Rage
*Seeing a face come into his view he quickly rolled over onto his four paws and jumped back. He stood tall and watched the pup closing. Slightly coming forward and sniffed her behind then jumped back*

"I'm fine. But you might want to ask that black thing if it is. I got et good."

*He tilted his head at the creature. It was a creature like him.....yet it was different. He was interested now. Maybe a new playmate.....or a chew mate!*

ChevalBunita

"Black thing?" Dia asked, frowning some. Whatever, the black thing was, it didn't sound all that great. She let her pal blue eyes tick from the pup to the floor where she saw the hole the 'black thing' must have went off too.

"oooooooooh," she said in wonder as she crouched down to inspect the hole, though not moving too close should the wretched creature come out or something. Who knew? It might just come back for another round! "It's a good thing you got it then!" she said, nodding her head once.

Masked Rage
*Tanryoku nodded and then gloated some.*

"Nothing is as strong as me. It didn't even have a chance. I Squisheded it into a hole."

*He trotted towards her and put his nose right next to her face and took in her scent then jumped away and nipped at her tail*

"Whas your name? I'm Tanryoku. Strongest Woof of the for......for.........the woods."

ChevalBunita

Dia giggled and jumped up into the air a bit when the pup nipped at her tail. Afterall, if he was the strongest wolf in the whole wide for...woods then she would have to be careful! poor naive Dia! She let out another girlish giggle and then sidestepped a bit, giving him the once over as she wagged her tail, almost forgetting about the bug. Almost.

"Tanryoku, I like that name," she said happily, "I'm Dia. I don't think I'm all that strong...but...I bet I'm the only one who has these," she said flickering her pierced ear joyfully.

Masked Rage
*He gave a look of awe for only a moment and then smirked*

"I could have those if I wanted em."

*He lied out his teeth trying to make himself look better. What was it? Instinct maybe that young males always show off? He glanced down to see the bug coming out of its hole. It had felt the vibrations of something near its hole and had came out for a meal.*

"NOTHER ONE!"

*Jumping up into the air all comical like in almost a superman pose, Tanryoku headed through the air a two feet off of the ground for the bug....the same bug he was after earlier.*

ChevalBunita

Dia giggled again and wondered if he really could get the painful things like she had. She didn't know why would want one, as her ear sometimes still got bouts of soreness every now and then. Her thoughts were short lived however when he jumped up and she saw the evil black culprit come out of its hole.

"'NOTHER ONE," Dia repeated jumping up in the air and letting out a loud puppish bark. Oh great life giver above, how many of these things were there? Perhaps it was the same one! She instantly scrambled to follow him, barking ever so often to root him on.

Masked Rage
*He landed over the hole. The bug would not go back into protection. He had an audience, he could not let it get away now. He Barked and yiped toward the bug as he started to scurry away.*

"Get back er you!"

*He leaped for it again missing only by an inch from squishing it. But that inch was just enough for the bug to put its pinchers into his leg right behind his paw. He let out a yipe of pain and surprise.*

"oooow."

*He tried to stop the yiping short because he was being watched. Now he swung his leg and paw trying to get it free.*

Dia/Luz - So you will follow me?

It was a bright morning when Dia awoke that day. She loved mornings like this. When night had waned off and before it could even leave fully it was destroyed by the life giver's giant rays. It left the woods in a state of almost transcending bliss and all seemed right in the world. The rays broke through the branches of the trees and settled onto her golden pelt, awakening the teen where she had slept. And as strange as it was for Dia to accept, she was now a teen. It was a strange thought for the golden ball of fur as she still felt like a puppy at times.

"Brooding are we?"

Dia jumped slightly, her fur standing on edge. In her mantra of thinking something had spoken. She looked around. Nothing there.... Then she looked down. She barked at what she saw.

"Hey now!" The little brightly furred squirrel spoke, "I was only asking a question, no need to get snappy at me..."

"Oh uhm....well.....who are you?" Dia asked raising an eyebrow. This little squirrel was lucky the morning hunger hadn't settled in yet. Otherwise, here was a meal that had just chanced by.

"My name is Luz...." The squirrel said politely.

"Dia...."

"I know what you're thinking......breakfast...right? Well, you can't eat me now. We've exchanged polite introductions."

"I don't want to eat you," was the teen fem's reply. "And even if I wanted to. I could."

"Ah but that wouldn't be very fair, would it? Not when we could both help each other out."

"How can you help me?" Dia asked.

"Oh you'll see....soon enough. As for you helping me? Well I was on my way to gather my morning nut feast and I saw you sleeping. When you awoke, well there's a gentleness I saw. Something that told me you'd be the one to help me."

"Help you with what?" Dia asked now preturbed by the strange creature.

"Oh you'll see that soon enough..." the squirrel said moving closer to get a better look at the wolf. "All in good time. Now then, do we have an arrangement? Do I get to be in your company?"

Dia thought about it, long and hard. Finally after a few beats a light shrug graced her shoulders. "I suppose so...."

"Good...." Was the squirrel's reply. "We''ll help each other soon enough, each better off then we once were. In the meantime....you're laying on breakfast...." Luz added, waving her paw towards the scattered nuts underneath Dia.

What a strange pair this would grow to be.
