| neutral Character Info | neutral
Name: Kira Songwind Age: 18 B-day: December 13th Gender: Female Hometown: Blackthorn City Likes: Computers, Books, and Chocolate Ice Cream. razz Dislikes: Rudeness, Impatience, and Being Laughed At. Fears: Bridges, Drowning, and Being Alone.
Personality: Kira is a depressive young gal who is unsure of herself most of the time. She's never had many friends, and she's hoping that becoming a trainer will provide her with more confidence in herself and the happiness and support that only unconditional love can grant. She's a horrible klutz, and it's usually the first thing that most people notice about her since she ends up tripping over her own two feet more often than not. Kira loves her books and her computer, and she can usually be found with her head in one or the other. She is sweet, though. For all her shyness and lack of self-confidence, she can and will help someone if they are confused or in trouble.
Appearance: Kira has deep raven black hair, gray blue eyes, pale skin just barely pinkened by the sun. She is rather beautiful, but she holds herself in a very shy and reserved manner that gives her the appearance of being cold and closed to the outside world.
Family: {Mother} Janus - 44 {Father} Alexander - 45 {Older Brother} Marcus - 24

/Sarabi Level: -- | Gender: Female Item Held: --
Met: Lake
Personality: Sarabi is an unusual little thing. She's hyperactive for one thing, and she has this thing with chewing on anything and everything she comes across. She also overuses her water gun, soaking things to make her point. And those 'things' include people so try not to make her mad.
/Bane Level: -- | Gender: Male Item Held: --
Met: Lake
Personality: Bane is horribly arrogant. He hates Sarabi with a flaming passion, and if either of them are out at the same time, he tries to beat her up. He doesn't like Kira at all and will disobey her constantly. She's going to have to work extra hard to earn his trust...if she's ever going to be able to, that is.

| neutral Kira's Log #1 | neutral
Dad's sending me out tomorrow to start my own pokemon journey...without a starter. My brother is really worried, so he told me he was going to tag along behind me just to make sure that I'm safe. I'm a little worried myself. Dad told me he's going to give me some money to get a fishing rod and some pokeballs so I can try and catch my own pokemon, but without one to battle and weaken whatever I do hook - if I get anything at all - I doubt I'm going to be able to catch something...anything.
I'm more worried about being able to live up to my family's legacy. Sure, my brother was able to catch a Gyrados during the Lake Rage incident. Sure, he was able to pass the Dragon Den trials. Sure, he was able to earn an apprenticeship position in the Blackthorn Gym. This doesn't mean that I'll be able to as well. In fact, I'm not even sure if I want to. It's so much pressure, and there's so much work that goes into being a Dragon trainer. Maybe I'd be better of sticking to just Water types. Or maybe something else entirely.
But I guess I'll find out later, find out tomorrow. I just hope Marcus won't laugh if I fail... I don't think he understands how much his opinion means to me. He's succeeded in earning our parents' approval. All I want is to do the same.
Anyways, Marcus is going to take me up to the Dragon's Den in order to try and give me some focus. Hopefully this will give me the energy and detrimination I need to be able to complete my goal tomorrow. I hope... I hope...

I was surprized when my brother told me we were going to an island. Dad gave me some money and so did Mom, and then Marcus grabbed the two tickets that he'd bought for the S.S. Aqua.
He only brought three pokemon with him, his most beloved and cherished, his baby girls. Marina, Melissa, and Melanie. His Gyrados, his Bayleef, and his Dratini. His Bayleef used to be a Chikorita. It's the starter that he recieved from Professor Elm.
It wasn't long after that that the Lake Rage event happened, where all the Magikarp had grown into Gyrados. Marcus had seen it as a great oppurtunity to capture a great dragon pokemon without having to deal with it's lesser evolved form. He's never had a great respect for Magikarp. Melissa hadn't had a hard time beating Marina. Trained pokemon tend to have a better time against wild ones.
He captured Melanie during his Dragon's Den challenge. She had helped him retrieve the item that he had to in order to gain apprenticeship into the Blackthorn Gym. And she had also aided his Chikorita in evolving when she had challenged him to prove he was good enough to be her trainer.
They're the only pokemon he always keeps with him...so it makes sense he brought them. I just don't understand why they were the ONLY pokemon he brought.
Either way, we arrived not long ago. We're off to try and find some good place to fish. They ushered us off of the docks not long after getting there, so the ocean was out of the question. There's got to be a lake around her somewhere.

We found that lake. Marcus kept insisting that I didn't know what I was doing and kept trying to 'help' [i.e. lecture me about every little thing he figured I had done wrong]. I swear, it's his fault that I lost that first catch.
But either way, I got another bite, and I was able to catch that one. Not exactly what I was expecting, but she's adorable either way. A little Marill. She seems to be half the size of the normal Marill, which is a good thing, probably, since she has this thing with climbing up on people and gnawing on their hair. Basically, she has a thing about chewing...well...everything. I might even have to get her a teething ring...since I'm not too much of a fan of having pokedrool in my hair.
Either way, we're going to stay out by the lake for a few days. It's teaming with regular fish as well as pokemon, so we won't be short on food, and besides, after the boat trip, we both need the rest. It's a long way to the nearest pokemon center.

}: Marcus Log #1 :{
Everything seems to be going all right. Kira caught her first pokemon. It's nothing that Dad would approve of, but it's something to help her succeed in getting a more appropriate team. We're staying around the lake for awhile more. Kira wants to get to know her Marill for a bit before we move on. She's probably going to try and catch another pokemon while we're around, too. Let's hope it's something decent.

I was fishing this afternoon, and when I jerked the line, I pulled up a red and black dratini. It just kinda glared at me when I landed it. I threw out Sarabi's pokeball, but she just kinda tackled him and started gnawing on his little wing ears.
So she wasn't going to be much help. I just threw the last pokeball I had left. Sarabi made quite a fuss when her chew toy disappeared, so she just latched onto the pokeball and started to gnaw on it. I'm pretty sure if she hadn't, he would have gotten out.
He seems...vicious in a way. Not in others. Horribly cocky and mean. He thwapped Sarabi with his tail when I let him out. And even if Marcus is proud of me for catching a 'proper' pokemon, I'm worried that this one might cause trouble with any others I catch.
I've named him Bane. It seems to suit him.

We were finally able to trek away from the lake and back towards some type of civilization. We ran into a few rattatas and pidgeys along the way, but Sarabi was able to make quick work of them. I haven't tried to let Bane back out...not while Sarabi was at least. I think I'm going to wait until later tonight when Sarabi was sleepin to try and interact with Bane...get him to trust me. I really wouldn't like it if he ended up never being able to trust me.
We're resting right now. There's some sort of shop not far from where we are. We might just stop in there tomorrow..check it out. I dunno. I still feel inadequite as a trainer. Marcus keeps laughing at me because I can't get my Dratini to listen to me. He says that the mark of any true Songwind is to be able to have an instant repore with dragon types. Maybe I'm not a true Songwind. Maybe I was adopted... But I'll worry about that later...not until tonight.
