I think when i first d/l music and my friend gave me utada hikaru enternally and then i got into ayumi hamasaki and after that I did some research or just took some singers from som of the anime i seen ie. Maaya Sakamoto and Saedoko Chiba

My brother and sister, to be honest. They were obsessed with Cowboy Bebop, and let me listen to CDs they burned. That's what got me interested in it, but I adored Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru, and didn't bother to look further.
Yeah. So my brother and sister. Funny, because my brother makes fun of me for listening to it now. Oh, well. ******** him.

Well, I guess when I listened to 'Simple and Clean' in the Kingdom Hearts game. It was pretty good, at that moment I grab the instruction booklet and found the lyrics to it. I then saw the artist, it was Utada Hikaru. Then I researched on the computer about her then got the album 'Exodus 04'

I was at my friends house and she is this uber otaku so she put on the Malice Mizer 'Beast Blood' video and I fell in love with j-pop and j-rock......even though it drives my mom insane but thats a bonus....... sweatdrop ......

I first heard anime music from Gundam Wing, Cardcaptors, Tenshi etc. Ayumi Hamasaki was the first j-pop artst i found out about; but i dont remember how, crying ..Utada Hikaru from simple and Clean and i found out about Gackt from another forum whee

I was in an anime guild herein gaia ( i think it was shojo beat guild) and there was a poll about jpop artist, and i went to watch the video for them in february....<3

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. Its been a long time since I got into anime but I think the main thing that kicked it off was when Adult Swim put on Cowboy Bebop. Before this, I searched a little for music but not as hardcore as right now.
