Dear Journal,
It is officially week three of my Oblivion-less existance, and I must say the lack of rats and random bandits has taken its toll on me. After finding that my Morrowind disk does not play nice with the glistening 360 and my computer once more unable to play the mod-heavy version of Morrowind, I cannot even turn to the wonders of the Dunmer world for salvation. I searched through my collection of games, but simply could find nothing to compare with the beautifully rendered masterpiece of Oblivion.
My supplies of Mountain Dew and chocolate cake is running low, and I fear I may have to brave the outside world in search of a new game and more snacks. At this point I can only hope that the sun will not burn the skin it has not seen in three years, and that my level 4+ car can reach Best Buy in time...
May the Nine protect me and all those who call themselves gamers, Neelah
Yep...it's official...my Oblivion disk was scratched beyond repair three weeks ago by the bipolar workings of the 360 (actually, I probably set it in wrong). I've tried in vain to repair it, but I think I may need to buy a new one. Until then, I wish to beg my fellow guildmates for screenshots in which to pacify this dungeon-dwelling soul.
Anyone else destroyed their disks yet? ~Neelah heart

If you move the 360 with the disk in it, the wheel rotates and scratches the disk in a circular pattern. If that's what your disk looks like, that's probably what happened.

Bad construction, that.
If your Morrowind won't play because it's so Mod-heavy, then why not take off the mods?
By the way, I'm not sure if I like Morrowind or Oblivion more...

Oui, that's exactly what happened. Thanks for letting me know it does that, I had no clue! sweatdrop So far I've used about fifty layers of resurfacing fluid to repair it...*sigh* the scratch is so deep... PiousCorn Bad construction, that. If your Morrowind won't play because it's so Mod-heavy, then why not take off the mods? By the way, I'm not sure if I like Morrowind or Oblivion more... Hm, removing the mods would work, I'm just not that comfortable playing Morrowind on the computer. Sounds weird, I know, but I played Morrowind for three years on the Xbox before getting the PC version (only to mod too), so playing the game on the PC is so weird to me. Lol, but that's something I gotta get over. ^_^'' I absolutely adore Morrowind because it's so much different from other worlds, and that's probably the reason I like it more than Oblivion, but I understand why you're torn. Oblivion's an amazing game, and so pretty, but the flavor of the Dunmer world totally captured my heart. It's a tough choice which to play sometimes...

Morrowind is better, with no doubt. With Oblivion, it seems more like Bethesda made the graphics better while ignoring almost everything else. Oblivion is a great game, but Morrowind had more diversity.
Still, we can't really say that Bethesda didn't try. They pushed it back from the original suspected release date by several months.
I remember that twenty minute gameplay video that they showed at E3 that said it would come out at Christmas.
Another thing that I couldn't stand about Oblivion was that Cyrodiil is almost completely landlocked, which meant no Oceans and no Galleon mods from Madmax.

I like Oblivion more for the graphics the graphics are much better and I never played Morrowind much although I just bought it about a week or two ago to see what it was like but my 360 broke down not my Oblivion disc so now I'm mad at Microsoft for having such a bad design for the console

I feel you're pain. I've gone through 3 disks in the last month. My advice to you- ******** Oblivion, get back to you're roots, and play some Daggerfall. And if you must play Oblivion on the 360, get a disc doctor. Or do what I use to do- buy it from EB Games and pay $3.00 for the warrentey.

Neelah, in honor of your late oblivion disc I would like to recite this quote. Quote: the first time microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is when they make a vaccume Unforunately it's either microsoft or a mac, and you can't play oblivion on a mac

Yes we do.
Feel free to respond, so that I know you've seen this.
I'd send a PM, but I think I can only recieve them from friends currently.
