The only reason that I give Daemon Hunters any credit at all is because they ca stand up to Greater Demons of chaos and win...I can;t even do that with my army...

Yahiko_Meoshine The only reason that I give Daemon Hunters any credit at all is because they ca stand up to Greater Demons of chaos and win...I can;t even do that with my army... I could in 3rd ed. The general rule of marine snipers is 2 to hit, 4 to wound. 10-man scout squad, allow most to carry snipers. Then just rely on those easy wounds to make them roll failed saves. Killed the greater demon of Khorne the turn it was summoned using that. xd

I remeber I took out a full health Wraithlord in one turn with my little hobbits with guns.

I just think there shoulda been a model "Space Marine Scout with Rocket Launcher"... because then you'd have the anti-vehicle element as well as the anti-anything made of flesh element.

But thats not what scouts are for. the reason they're called "scout" is because theyre supposed to sneak into enemy territory, not leave smoldering tank wrecks exploding and attracting attention. That defeats the whole point of 'scout"ing. stressed

Cagalli Yura Attha but you can't really muffle the sound of a Heavy Bolter, can you? note that not all squads have them, and its a hell of a lot quieter than a tank blowing up. besides, its probably only used as a lats rsort or when they form up with an army.

Cagalli Yura Attha but you can't really muffle the sound of a Heavy Bolter, can you? This is true but it wouldn't be cost effective if you look at it like a real life army. Why arm your scouts with huge expensive guns when they aren't going to use them all too much?
