I respect all the aminals on the planet. Even if I don't like an animal as much, I still don't hate them and wish they were extinct or something. That's very mean.
However, although I respect all animals, there are some animals that I respect a lot more than others. I shall seperate them into wild and domestic categories.
Wild:
Wolves. My favourite animal of all. I love wolves way before the internet came to existance and before I realized lots of furs (people who like anthropomorphic animals) love wolves as well. I love the sound of their howls, and they are way better parents than humans > razz
Runner-up:
Sharks. I love sharks almost as much as wolves. They have received quite a bad reputation unfortunately. Many believe them to be vicious man-eaters, but that is far from the truth. Sharks don't like the taste of us, and shark attacks occur because they mistake us for their preferred food, like seals. You have a better chance being killed by a dog or being struck by lightning than having been killed by a shark. Movies featuring killer sharks like Jaws only makes people hate them even more, and that angers me.
Sharks are mysterious animals. Although there has been lots of research done on them in recent years, there's still lots of stuff about them that we don't know. Sharks are also endangered. Every year, thousands of sharks are killed by humans, yet only about a dozen people can be killed by sharks a year. What do you think is the more deadly? Sharks have very long gestation periods, and people are killing the females long before they can breed and repopulate. Dogfish, tiny sharks that are sometimes subsituted for tuna meat, have a 20 year(!) gestation period, and yet thousands of them are killed every year. People leave sharks to die when they cut off their fins for Sharkfin soup. Without fins, sharks can't swim and they'll either drown in the sea or get killed by other predators. It makes me angry just thinking about it. Australia's waters are littered with dead finless sharks.
If anything needs to be saved, it should be the shark, yet nobody (the general public I mean) wants to save them because they're not 'cute' like dolphins > razz
Aside from wolves and sharks, I also like crocodilians, wallabies, tigers (white bengal's my fave), eagles (bald's my fave), monitor lizards, roos and orcas a lot.
The rest of the animals I didn't mention and lumped in one big pile biggrin
Domestic:
Dogs: I love dogs. I love canines in general. My favourite breed is the German Shepherd Dog, or Alsatian.
Ferrets: Ferrets are adorable and playful and I've heard they're the number 3 most popular pet in the US biggrin They're related to weasels and the rest of the family, and they're very frisky and love to sleep in hammocks biggrin
P.S. Sorry about my ranting. I tend to rant when talking about misunderstood animals.

Animals are great indeed! Let's see...what're my favorites...
Wild:
Kangaroo Rats. Specifically Banner-Tailed Kangaroo Rats. I dunno why exactly, I just think they're cool. X3 They're North American desert rodents, and they're good jumpers! They can also live without drinking water thanks to their spiffy body chemestry! It takes Oxygen from the air they breath and Hydrogen from the food they eat to make H2O. =3
Next I like Foxes and Wolves. Wild dogs are just fun for some reason. I like how they interact with each other (I mean their own species respectively).
I like squirrels and bats too. Teehee.
Domesticated:
Shaws Jirds. They're closely related to gerbils, which is how I came across them. They're bigger than Mongolian Gerbils, but they're tamer. Mine loved getting rubbed beneath they're chin, and during so they would lean back like a dog would getting its stomach rubbed. XD So cute!
I like cats too and a few breeds of dog. Golden Retrivers are nice, and I like Corgis and Scottish Terriers. =3

Meow? My fave animal is sitting on my head, lol! blaugh I like wild cats too. Like Cougars and Panthers and Leopards and Snow Leopards. 3nodding
I love how they crossed animals and robots in Zoids. Zoids are so much more interesting than normal robots. And compare them to Transformers (I used to love that show!) The Transformers looked like humans sort of (and vehicles etc), while Zoids look like animals. I liked Transformers: Beast Wars a lot. Did you guys see that? Optimus Prime was a gorilla.

Anyway, BW: TF is one of my fave Canadian show. The 1st season was so-so, but the 2nd season rocked. I have loads of BW figs.

Freelance Wolf Does nobody care for the poor sharks? I care about them! I think Whale Sharks are cool. Are they actually classed as sharks? Grey Nurse sharks are nice. They are gentle and less like to eat you than man eaters. Although man eaters only eat you because you are invading their territory and think you are seals. So no imitating seals when in the water. xp I love the Leopard Shark the most, I think. That's the right name, isn't it?

Hmm....favorite animals...my Sn should mkae it quite obviosu but...
Wild:
Alligators: Why? because of the nick name I was given by a friend at church. I don't even know that much about them but I still think that they are cool and deserve some respect. NOt to be clothing either!
Horses: Yes, I lurve the wild ones too esp since they have such a hard life that is imposted by us! They almost didn't surrvive a few times either because people saw them as a nuissance when they really are a symbol of America. After all the Mustang is our breed!
Squirrels: This is a new favorite because of a character I have. I think that they are cute and actually rather funny and smart even though they too can be a pest. For example, they like to dig in Dave's pot that hs the mint in it when it's outside and they forever bother his mother's bird feeders. ^_^
Wolves: I've always thought that they are just cool looking and wow...I'm in awe of them mostly.
Domestic:
Horse: This is a duh. I have one and he is my other half (besides Dave) so I guess I'm made up of three halves? I just find horses to be very beautiful and intelligent creatures. I've always had a really good way with them ever since I was little.
Malamute: Yes, they look like wolves mostly because Disney will use them as wolves in movies. They are jsut a very majestic dog that is very friendly, way too smart, and loves to play.
Yes, I do really like cats too but it's mostly all felines sooo..hehe...no real favorite with in that species. ^^;
Shark are pretty cool. I rmember watching a video and dissecting one in my Zoology class. I felt sorry for the poor little thing having to give up life to cut up by college students.

Whale sharks are named such because they're very large (though I don't think they're as large as whale) and because, like the baleen whales, they eat nothing but plankton. They're quite friendly with divers and won't mind if someone hitches a ride on them. My favourite shark is the Blues. They're very pretty and really streamlined. Their snout is really tapered, and they're one of the longest migrators. Here's a picture of a blue shark!  I'm glad other people here like sharks!!

Wild:
Tigers! When I was little, I went to Worlds of Fun and won a framed picture of a white tiger. After that, I fell in love with them. And just so you know, tigers are meant to live in the wild. I do not at all support owning tigers as pets.
Domestic:
Cats. I love the darlings. They're easy to take care of and are so loving when they want to be (depends on the cat).
Sharks. They're beautiful. But when I play Echo...those sharks stressed j/k xp
