I don`t get it. It`s common for any game to have the more seemingly goody goodie one. But I don`t get why people actually hate these characters. Such as Kairi or Aeris. Sure, they sit there sometimes and get kidnapped ocassionally. But. O o; Hello? Ever heard of pacifists? Not like normal people can fight against people with a whole arsenal of weapons. >/ I`m proud to actually like Kairi and AERIS! At least Aeris knew when she had to go.. Anyways. They`re fictional. But kind of resemble the average person. So is there any reason to HATE them at all?
-Reason why Kairi couldn`t do anything in KH: Her soul was trapped in another person, while he almost lifeless body was being dragged about to every corner of the damned galaxy.

I adore Kairi and Aeris. 3nodding
Kairi, to me, is awesome because she's a very supportive and encouraging person to her friends. Aeris is supportive too, and I don't see her as week.
Both of them stand up and fight. Sometimes people are stuck in a position where they can't fight.
I think they're just disliked because there's a trend of female protagonists being disliked. emo Tohru from Fruits Basket...Hiyono from Spiral...I can name a few others. crying

Both Kairi and Aeirth are awesome! I have a thing for damsels in distress and sarcastic 'kick-butt' attitudes, they both tend to make an awesome team, look at Wicked, Elphaba had a thing about not caring what other people thought about her but Galinda cared about what people thought about her yet they became the best of friends.

I still didn't care for Kairi in KH1. I didn't like her, but I didn't hate her. She wasn't around enough to be judged. But she does a lot more, it seems, in KH2, so I was able to form an opinion on her. I really like her in KH2. She's a sweet caring girl who just wants her friends to be safe.
And I happen to obsess over Aerith/Aeris. She's one of my favorite Final Fantasy female characters. <3
