Persian Wax (sugaring) this is what inspired me to make this thread I saw it on Craftster.org and just thought it was so simple and unique and then I realized how many recipes there are that arent edible...
Ingredients: 1/8 cup water 1/8 cup lemon juice(fresh is best) 1 cup white sugar 1 tlbsp honey
Directions: put ingredients into the pan in the order above. put the pan on as low as it will go. DONT STIR leave it to gently bubble away for about 10 mins and then give it a very light stir scrapping the bottom so you can disturb any sugar not yet disolved. now stand a watch it, not really but stay close. leave it to bubble again and when all the sugar is disolved it will start to change colour( sometimes it starts changing earlier thats ok too) have a plate of cold water(ice cold) pop some ice cubes into it as well. Take a little of the syrup and drop it into the water, push it round with your finger and feel the consistency, it will feel like thick honey when you have it right. you may need to cook it a little longer till you get the right consitency. turn off the heat jar it and leave the lid off to cool. be really careful when you pour it into the jar, this stuff causes 2nd degrees burns. next day make sure you exfoliate really well shower like normal, NO MOISTURISER. Make sure you haven't been near water for at least an hour before you wax. You can dust your legs with baby powder but you dont have to. spread a thin layer onto the legs in the direction of growth, Now for strips any cotton fabric is fine. pop the strip onto the wax and rub in the growth direction 2-3 times no more or the wax absorbs through the cloth. leave to the count of 5 then rip in the opposite direction to the growth. You can use the same strip over new wax several times until to feel it not pulling away easily then grab a new strip. The above will give you enough to wax 2 sets of half legs( knees to ankles) 2 under arms and 1 extended bikini.

This is so yummy and it looks great on your lips 4laugh . I got it from honey.com and there are a TON of beauty recipes there that are syper yumm!
Cranberry Lip Gloss Ingredients : 1 Tablespoon sweet almond oil 10 resh cranberries 1 teaspoon honey 1 drop vitamin E oil Directions Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for two minutes or until the mixture just begins to boil. (Bowl may also be heated in a pan of water on a stovetop). Stir well and gently crush the berries. Cool mixture for five minutes and then strain through a fine sieve to remove all the fruit pieces. Stir again and set aside to cool completely. When cool, transfer into a small portable plastic container or tin.
Apply a small amount onto your lips and remember to smile!

My absolutely fave exfoliating treatment:
1/4 papaya, including skin, but not seeds 1/4 cup plain yogurt
Blend together till smooth. Apply to skin and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off. You won't believe the results in just one use!
For delicate skin, apply a thin film of olive oil before using this mixture -- it's quite strong.

How about a spray cleaner?
You will need: 16 oz. spray bottle. Water Dish Soap Tea Tree Oil (optional)
Fill the spray bottle 3/4 of the way with water. Put in 2 - 3 squeezes from the dish soap bottle. Shake gently. Add 1/2 teaspoon tea tree oil if you wish. Top off with more water.
You can use this to clean the bathroom, spot clean your kitchen floor, countertops (rinse them before putting food directly on them), I've even used it to clean my hands and wash out scratches on my arms.
Don't use this on windows, mirrors or your tv or computer screens... it will streak and you'll have a hell of a time getting them clean again.

Homemade Hair Spray
Chop one lemon (or an orange for dry hair). Place in a pot with 2 cups water. Boil until half of the initial amount remains. Cool, strain, and place in a spray bottle. Store in the refrigerator.
If it is too sticky, add more water. Add one ounce rubbing alcohol as a preservative and then the spray can be stored for up to two weeks unrefrigerated.

BATH COOKIES
4 cups finely grained sea salt
1 cup baking soda
1 cup cornstarch
4 Tbsp. light canola oil
2 tsp. Vitamin E oil
4 egg whites
10-12 drops rosemary essential oil
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the ingredients and push it into a candy or soap mold. If you want a round bath bead, use a melon baller to make rounded beads. Place it on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake the beads for about 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned. Let cool completely for a wonderful gift.
