Rows and rows of books lined the shelves as Kasch peered into the building. Everything seemed so tall on one side, the shelves reaching towards the ceiling while the other side seemed much smaller. He looked at Xiu Xue, his big sister is what she called herself.
She smiled moving forward to take his hand. "Go on little one," she said softly. She nudged him towards the children's section. "I'm just going to find a few things and then we can go," she added. Still he seemed hesitant.
"Birds?" he asked gently. He gave her a hopeful look before finally moving to sit down on the carpet. A frown etched on his lips, he looked around in hopes of seeing something but really he couldn't do much but think of the bird he'd had to leave at home.

"Reiha Korbin is not allowed in a libray" Adian sighed as he watched the stuborn girl walked briskly forward. Adian cast a almost worried look around the libray. He hadn't been in one since high school. It made him feel antasy as he normally only entered a libray when he was in despert need. He wondered idly if he could still write a grade B report in less then a day. He grined at the thought and glanced at Reiha. Oh god, what would he do when she was in school?
"I'd like to see them take him away" Reiha replied proudly as Korbin rested on her arm, being held close to the girl he protected and loved. His bright gold eyes stared angerily at all the books. Not that he was really made at those books, Reiha loved books so Korbin tolerated them. Korbin would tolerate anything that Reiha loved.
"Reiha, come on, I don't want to be kicked out" Adian sighed as he followed the girl. She was the one that deamnded they go to the libray and now she was walking quickly to a section of the libray close to kid's section. He glanced around, worried ot find some gray haired librain yelling "Shhhh!" to come yell at him. And she of course would not be hot in the least. Adian sighed, a not hot girl was a real pitty in his mind. What was the point in a female unless they were pretty in some way?
"Fine if it bother's you so much" Reiha sighed whispered something to Korbin. He spread his wing and fluttered to the top of the book shelf. "There" Reiha told Adian in a big sister to little brother tone. "See he will follow us and if someone yells we never seen him before" Reiha said with a royal sort of shrug before walking off.

It was no surprise that Kasch immediately saw Korbin enter with Reiha. He smiled more so at the bird than the girl. Standing up, he wobbled a bit in his new shoes. He felt like he was on a platform and he couldn't quite get used to the feeling.
Still he managed to walk with some grace. He looked up at the bird, stumbling towards Reiha. "Is that your bird?" he asked remembering how it had been perched on her arm. He gave a smile hesitant about saying much else.
He gave a wave to the bird, his small fingers curling up and down. It took him a moment before his attention returned to the girl and he wondered why the bird was with her.

Reiha walked down the alise looking over the many titles of all the books. her fingers rose to stroke the many spines, halfway wishing that was all it took to know the information inside but as soon as the half wish was in her mind she wished it gone. No, that take all the fun of learning from books if you just knew upon touch.
She reached to pick a book, to fill her brain with the knowlege it held when she hearda voice. She truned, a suspious frown on her lips. Then her eyes whiden. He had wings, big wide white wings, bat like. It was wonderous. Could he fly? Oh Reiha would sell her soul and more to fly.
"No" she awnsered honestly. "Korbin is my friend" she looked up at him and he fluttered back down.
"What are you doing?" he demanded of her, "Why are you talking to this boy? We should just get your books and go" He urged. He didn't like her talking to people. People could and would hurt her. His golden eyes turned to glare at the boy.
"He has wings Korbin" Reiha murrmered, "I want wings, then we could fly the skies together Korbin, you and I"

"Is that his name? Korbin?" Kasch looked at the bird tilting his head. Didn't the bird like him? His wings fluttered lightly and he wrapped them around himself, his fingers stroking the leathery texture to sooth the horrible thought in his mind. That couldn't be, why wouldn't the bird like him?
He was a bit dumbfounded by the fact the bird didn't belong to her. Of course a bird could be a friend but someone had to belong to someone. Babies belonged to their parents, mates belong to each other, pets belonged to their owners. He bit his lip as he pondered.
"Then does she belong to you?" he asked the bird.

Reiha frowned, she didn't like this boy's obsession with owning. "I belong to no one!" she said firmly. No not Reiha, she held on poessivly to Korbin, not wanting the boy to claim him as his or something. Korbin didn't belong to her and she didn't belond to Korbin. When you owned something you were above it, you were in control. She was not in control of Korbin, he just listened to her more often then not. That's all.
"Korbin is my friend, but he isn't owned, he's free. He can come and go as he wishes" Reiha informed the boy grandly. She asumed this tone when ever she felt she was dealing with someone who might be a bit slow. "Korbin stays with me because he loves me and I love him."
Adian aproched from behind, finally caught up with Reiha. Damn she was fast he stoped and blinked when he saw the little boy with wings. Such sites were not uncommon in Gaia but they weren't common ethir. Adian glanced at Reiha and saw that high and mighty look she got when ever she thought he was doing soemthing stupid. He wondered what the boy was doing.
Adian didn't draw close, didn't wnat to interupt but felt since he was sorta Reiha's gaurdian he should stay a safe distence away and make sure she didn't hurt herself. Though if she did he still doubted she would want his help. She didn't like to be touched much. Something that worried Adian.

Kasch eyes flashed slightly, finding her tone rude. "You don't have to be rude." He looked at the bird finding any interest in Reiha to be floundering. "I was talking to Korbin, not you anyways." His wings flared out, something birds often did to make themselves look bigger when they were in fear of being attacked.
He frowned shaking his head. She really didn't seem very nice and he didn't really understand why this bird was with her. "Is she this rude to you? Or she is having a bad day?" again he directed his question to the bird. He was sure the bird knew that everything belonged to something. If something didn't it had no purpose and one couldn't live without a purpose. Not that he knew what his purpose was but he belonged to Adam, so he had no need to worry about a purpose.

Korbin glared at the boy and then fluttered up to land on Reiha's head. "Reiha belongs to no one" Korbin cawed angerily. He liked his perch, because it both was protective and poessive. Maybe a part of him felt like he owned Reiha, but that was because she was his friend and he was the only one that Reiha loved. If he felt proud for that he felt it was deserved.
Reiha frowned, "I am simply saying the obvious" she said with a small pout. "Besides it's my right to be rude" she grummbled to herself. After all other people were rude, why couldn't she be rude? Being rude was easier then being polite, being polite only mattered to her if she liked a person and she wasn't sure if she liked the winged guy. Even though she wanted to feel his wings.
Korbin's wings fluttered angerily as the boy called Reiha ruded. "She's sweet and kind!" he snapped, "You just don't deserve it!"
Reiha looked up at Korbin and wondered if Korbin thought this boy could understand him or if she was suppose to translate. She shrugged and turned away. The boy didn't want to talk to her, she just wanted to get a few books and leave.

Kasch shook his head, obviously the girl was poisoning the bird's good nature. As far as he believed, all birds were good and kind. So he didn't blame Korbin. "I forgive you, Korbin," he smiled at the bird before turning his back to the two. He wanted to go see his own bird now, to make sure it wasn't ever poisoned nor was his egg.
He did feel bad for not getting along with the girl but she wasn't trying to be nice. Looking around the first adult, well he was tall like one, he saw was Adian. Toddling forward, he waved at the man. "Where are the bird books?" he asked. It wasn't so much that he was obsessed but that he was worried about the poor bird Pere had given him.

Both Korbin and Reiha gave Kasch a werid look and then they glanced at each other doing that silent communication thing that always freaked out Adian slightly. Reiha frowned and Korbin shifted as they watched the boy walk over to Adian, both kind of smirked when he was asked a question, as that blank 'I don't know' expresion washed over his face.
Adian raised an eyebrow as the kid aproched him but the question just stumped. Why in the world would he know where bird books are. Would Reiha know? He wouldn't know how as this was the first time he took her to the libray but knowing Reiha that doesn't mean it's the first time she's been here.
"Hey, Reiha where' the bird books?" he finally asked, forcing attention back to the bundle of 'joy' that he got of the train.
Reiha strted to shrug, but that's how she awnsered most of Adian's question, by shruging then awnsering. "They're with the other animal books"she said, turning back to the sehlf she was on. She reached up high, trying to reach one book but her fingers just graed the plastic covered bottom. She strained and even jumped but couldn't reach it.

Kasch looked at Adian. Adults were supposed to know things, why didn't he? He looked back at Reiha, the nice thing would be to help her he supposed but...he wasn't sure he should. His concience seemed to nag at him and he grudgingly turned back to walk towards the girl.
"Do you need help?" he asked. He supposed it was the nice thing to do, she had told him where the bird books could be found though he doubt she meant to help him. It didn't seem like Adian was going to help her. Apparently he'd stumbled into the un-helpful trio noting that not even Korbin seemed to be willing to help anyone.

Adian threw his hands ito his pocket as Reiha reached for the book. He had tried to help her once and got a glare in return. Reiha didn't seem to want any help, at least not from him. Korbin seemed to understand that took as he also did nothing. Reiha was so indepent a large part of him wondered why, he knew it had to do with what happened to her before that train ride, he just wished he could figure out what.
"I got it" Reiha said firmly, reahing up and having her fingers scrap across the book. Come on, she could touch it, she must be able to grab it. She tried to reach around the book to pull her out so finally she let out a huff and put her foot on the shelf, steping on it to pull herself up.

With a thoughtful look on his face, Kasch flapped his wings. The beautiful white leather and bones picked him off his feet as he reached out his fingers brushing over Reiha's as she continued trying to get the book herself. He looked down at her, questioning but still decided to take the book.
Standing in mid-air he waited a moment before landing. He smiled sincerely as he handed the book to her. "What's it about?" he attempted to ask. He didn't figure he would get a thank you from her. He doubted he'd get anything but yelled at really.

Reiha just stared at him though. Wow, he really could fly. The wingers weren't just for show. that was so neat. All of that anoyence Reiha felt melted away again as she took the book and just sort of stared for a moment, wondering if he could do that again. God she wished she could fly.
Adian blinked as he realized Reiha wouldn't be rude. Well he had to jump in and pretend to be her parent. He moved over and placed a hand on her shoulder,f eeling her stiffen slgihtly.
"Say thank you Reiha" he said quietly.
Reiha frowned and glanced at the book, "Thanks" she finally muttered, then showed him the title. Native American Myths and their Orgins.
"I got this neat book here last time about crow myths and that made me want to read more Native American myths" she said with a sort of shrug, the shrug was mostly to get rid of Adian's hand. She didn't like it when the redhaired man touched her.
"You want to know more about birds?" she finally asked.

"You're welcome. I'd like to learn more about birds," he said politely. He gave a smile to Adian but otherwise his attention was now on Reiha. He supposed he could give her another chance. Yes, he definately could do that.
