There were so many things to think about...so many things to do. That was all his mind was racing with at the moment, questions that wanted to be answered, actions that needed to be carried out but were not for one reason or another.

This was Daemon, he was alone...as far as his mind told him.

Wandering the borders of Phib's territory Daemon was brought to where the river thinned out a bit, fish were migrating upwards, it was so hot. Flopping onto the bank he craned his neck down and lapped up some of the cool crisp water...it tasted so good.

He looked at his reflection, as if looking at something more or less then what he saw. "In reflections show true selves..." he spoke aloud. He wished he knew if he indeed had a greater purpose then watching his idiot brother Arguin.

Even thought Daemon was in a pack, he still felt alone, sure, Daemon had met Logan. Logan was a good wolf, but now Logan was spending more time with the female Echo, Logan's wolfess...or so thats how Daemon understood it.

With those thoughts in mind Daemon felt even more alone in this secluded area...though it wasn't. It was open on all sides, but his eyes and feelings told him differently. He hated his eyes sometimes...he looked blind but wasn't, so it confused others, made pups feel awkward, he remembered it all.

Daemon wondered when his luck might change...but it seemed like it never would...

Kichbi padded slowly towards what she could tell was a large, open area. She didn't favour them much, and wasn't too happy about it, but she was just going to travel through it. She could smell a river, and although she had not yet heard it, it smelled fresh, clean. The black and white female felt comfortable enough as she picked up her pace and trotted into the area, now able to hear the waters rushing over their rocky bed. "Mmmmm. Water..." Came speech from a black dipped muzzle, she was happy that there was water so near, it had been a while since she'd had a drink.

Slowing down as she got within a few yards of the water, Kichbi stared out across it, not really knowing what she was looking at, but wishing that she knew. She reclined to her haunches in front of the river, completely oblivious to the fact that there was another wolf only a few yards down the river from her. Downwind, so she couldn't smell him. She waved her tail a few times, and then lay herself down on the ground, feeling the cool air that flowed across the water brush the fur on her muzzle. She bent her neck a little and felt the cool water on her muzzle as she placed it in the water, drinking deeply, but making sure not to drink too much, or else she would hurt her stomach.

Daemon was still lost in thought when the wind apssed across his nose carrying a faint scent of another wolf. He didn't notice right away, he was trying to figure things out, muster up answers in his mind that edluded him at the time being.

When the scent did catch his attention, he turned his head to see what seemed like the physical polar opposite of him. Though they....though she was a few yard away, her white pelt and black markings caught his interest. Even the fact that she had blue eyes...

Normal blue eyes...what his eyes should look like...

His tail flicked to the side as he rose up to his feet and stretched, and just watched her for a moment...total polar opposite...interesting. His tail swaying behind him in a calm motion he called out to her, hopeing she would not flee from him, "Hello..." he said almost trailing off at the end while he walked a few paces forward, "What brings you this way?" he asked. Perhaps she was trying to gain access to Phib's territories...

Kichbi jumped slightly, turning her head in the direction the voice had come from. She could smell his curiosity and was also rather curious herself. There was that one single moment where her whole entire body froze, fear of what he might be, what he might do to her, but he didn't smell bad to her, so she relaxed, waving her own tail in an attempt to fan herself. "Just a wanderer sir. I'm making my way back to a friend, and I was just stopping to get a drink. I didn't pass any borders. Not that I noticed at least. I do hope I'm not intruding on packlands." She said, grimacing at the thought. Maybe he was a guard of these lands, inquiring why she was here before he attacked her, threw her out away from the river. She froze again, only able to imagine what he looked like, and what he might be thinking right then.

A wanderer? He remembered his time of wandering, it was a lonely time for him. Not like any other time was different. Wandering alone was not only a defining lonely time, but also quite dangerous for anyone, especially a female.

But she on the other hand was wandering for a reason much like he had, Daemon had wandered in search of his brother, she was wandering trying to find a friend.

"No, no intrusions...this area is bordering to otehr packlands, but you should have no problem from the pack I reside in." he said with a reasurring smile. This was nice, though she seemed a bit intimidated maybe...was that the look in her eyes? Maybe it was just him...and his eyes...not many were accustomed to speaking to Daemon without wondering and questioning his vision and such.

So this, this was nice.

"My names Daemon," he said bowing his head in a regal way to her. It was always appropriate, least to Daemon's understanding, to ackowledge and show respect to another, especially a female. It showed good manors, least thats what Daemon believed.

"If I may ask, what is your name?" he asked in a more quiet tone, knowing some did not wish to reveal their names. This femme was different to Daemon...she seemed different in his eyes...

"My name is Kichbi. Thank you, I'm glad I'm not intruding, I'd feel horrible." She said, giving him a nod and a small laugh. "Daemon..." She said quietly, playing with the name. "It's wonderful, you are kind, but misunderstood, I can tell." She said quietly, sensing that he was different as well. She didn't know if he was able to see that she was blind, because her eyes looked like normal blue eyes to everyone else, it often took them a while before they figured out that she was blind. Most just took her to be skittish and clumsy, but she didn't really mind most of time. "Would it be possible to have you show me how to get to the forest sir? I should be able to find some of my packmates there...." She trailed off, standing and nodding to him beofrepadding closer, careful not to get too close, though it was slightly hard for her to tell.

Daemon wagged his tail a bit and tilted his head at her. "Kichbi," he said, her name rolling off his tongue. It was an interesting name, much like his own but in a different sense. Her words speaking of him being kind and misunderstood touched him, no one ever actually said that to him before...he figured most ignored that trait of his being.

"You have no idea..." he said jokingly.

He watched her with intrigued eyes now. She seemed...off? Was that the proper word? She wanted to know which way to the forest, perhaps the deeper parts of it from here...she could just follow the path before her...it was right there actually.

When she padded closer he watched her movements closely, then something hit him...was she blind? But, she looked like she could see...it was as if his adn her eyes belonged to one another and not themselves...this was beginning to be quite interesting.

"Of course I can...I'd be glad to help," he said with a wag of his tail. He didn't want to ask her, in case he was wrong, then he'd seem like a fool. But that would eprhaps explain why she hadn't asked him if his eyes were blind...if she couldn't see them.

He turned around and took a couple steps forward, but went slow, to see indeed if she could follow easily. He'd bring her to teh beginning of the border forest...perhaps that would help her.

Kichbi smiled kindly. "I think you'll be surprised Daemon." She said, offering another small laugh. "Thank you for offering to help me." She said, waving her tail a few times then padding slowly after him, careful to try and feel the ground before her so she wouldn't trip or anything.

Kichbi stumbled slightly as her toe caught on a rock, but she managed to catch herself before she ended up on her face, and stopped for a moment, panting. "Stupid rocks...." She mumbled, hoping he hadn't seen her stumble. She raised her head, staring in his direction, smiling apologetically.

Daemon smiled and kept going a few paces at a time, watching her closely, "Surprised of what Kichbi?" he asked with a playful smirk upon his maw. "Its no problem Kichbi, I'm glad someone 'likes' being around me regardless..." he said smiling. He couldn't remember the last time someone like her came across him and acted decently to him...he liked the change.

He watched as she stumbled slightly, and moved slowly, howher paws gripped the ground. He wanted to ask her, but he wasn't sure how to...or is she'd be affended by it at all, "Are you alright?" he asked in a concerned tone, he did't want her hurt either way.

"Surprised of how much of an idea I've got." She said, grinning. "You're so kind and helpful, how could anyone not like being around you?" She asked, cocking her head. She guessed that he was probably wondering why she'd stumbled but for some reason just couldn't find it in herself to tell him. "I should be fine, thank you. I don't think I cut it or anything." She said kindly, reclining to her haunches and lifting her paw to lick at it. It was bleeding a little but she didn't see it as a big deal. "Sorry about that, I should have told you, I'm blind, so we'll have to travel slowly. I can understand if you don't wish to travel with me sir." She said, hanging her head and pretending to pay very careful attention to her paw before getting back up and waving her tail, reminding herself that babying it would only make it worse.

Daemon stopped and smiled wondering what she was talking of. He idea...what was her idea he wished to know... "I;ve had not that great of a past...other wolves don't like being around me...pups are afraid of me I think, they don't like my eyes..." he said trailing off.

Daemon's nose could smell the faint scent of blood but it wasn't too bad, for that he was glad she wasn't hurt too badly. When she did say she was blind he smiled and wagged his tail, "That does not matter to me...others think I'm blind...my eyes, they're blue...but look blind, but I can see fine." it seemed to him like they were two sides of a coin at this point.

"I'll still bring you to the forestedge, there's an easier path to travel, less trees and rocks and such, it does not make any difference, I still want to help you Kichbi," he said smiling. He walked slower, now, so that she could walk beside him, and he'd watch for rocks and move them out of the way. Kichbi was nice, she didn't deserve to be hurt.

"Oh...that is odd. It would appear that our eyes should belong to one another, no?" She laughed. "Though not odd in a bad way, I feel sorry that others are frightened of you, I can't see why, you're so kind." She smiled, knowing that he was walking right beside her made her feel very comforted. He really was incredibly kind to be helping her out like this. "I'll be on my own when we reach the forest then?" She inquired, not really wanting him to leave her, but knowing she'd most likely be able to locate a pack member by some means when she got there. She waved her tail, closing her eyes, since it didn't matter, and continued on. Her shoulder brushed against his occasionally, by accident, but she assumed it wouldn't matter to him, since he knew now why she couldn't always walk perfectly straight like most others.

"It seems so," he said smiling, smiling felt so new to him right now. It was on the rare occasion he did, but right now, it was like he couldn't stop smiling and wagging his tail. He wondered thyough if she could see, if she'd be afraid of him, his blind-like eyes and odd stripe of fur down his back.

Sadly he nodded and stated quietly, "Yes," almost in a whisper. He didn't want her to leave, she made him feel like he had somewhere to belong, that someone somewhere cared. She had a pack to return to, and so did he after this. He just had joined Phib's pack, and he couldn't leave...not with Arguin being there all by himself. But he didn't want her to leave...

Seemed fate was being cruel to him again.

As she brushed against his shoulder he smiled again, making sure his shoulder was easy to lean against in case she strode to teh side to much. He'd be there to make sure she wouldn't fall.

"Yes...well...maybe I don't have to find them just yet. In all truth, I'm rather enjoying your company Daemon. I don't want to be alone again yet." She said, sighing softly and stopping for a moment, bending her neck to sniff at the grass. "We are coming close to the forest aren't we?" She asked sadly, opening her eyes and turning to him. She always felt weird staring at others like that, but she wanted to see him. She'd try her hardest to see him if it killed her. In her heart she had an image of him, but she would never know just how accurateit was. "Maybe we could go somewhere else for a while, I'd love to know more about you. It's not very often I get company that enjoys speaking with me." She laughed, sitting down to wait for his answer to her offer.

He was glad to hear that she enjoyed his company, not many enjoyed Daemon around. His childhood mentor from his birthpack did, he believed Daemon had some qualities most wolves would dream of having. Daemon hadn't seen him in the longest while now...and even wondered if his mentor remembered him.

Pushing those thoughts from mind he did want Kichbi to stay, but he didn't want to seem like he was imposing on her duties or plans. "We are close to it yes, but if you'd rather wait, I wouldn't mind your company." the only company Daemon really had sometimes was Arguin these days, since Logan had seemed to find a mate.

"We could if you'd like, theres a clearing a little way from here, teh river breaks through it, making a tiny stream that you can step into on a hot day. We could go there if you'd like." he said, trying to not seem like he was forcing her into things. He wanted her to be comfortable and at ease around him.

"I'd like to know more about you as well," he stated simply with a smile. He was sure that she might find his past odd at some point, but it'd be nice to share/swap stories with another. Be at ease around someone who wouldn't run away or judge too quickly.
