Have you ever noticed how Cloud gets shot AND stabbed in Advent Children and lives while Aeris dies with just one stb in the stomach? I think that's weird.

That's cuz Sephitoth stabbed Aries. Also, Sephiroth was REALLY strong and Aries isn't as powerful as Cloud. Also, Sephiroth was using the Masamune. And I think the Masamune was like a sword of infinite power or something like that. Plus, It wouldn't have made a good movie if Cloud was killed by a bullet or a sword stab.

Meh, I guess you're right. But, Sephi was using the masamune on Cloud in AC too. Ah, who cares?

cloud also got stabbed and shot and a few worse things happen to him in the game as well (yes in fmv bits) and he survived.
its probubly cause hes realy hardy in his body build (as alot of the stuff happend before jenova cells were injected, E.G. clouds past) where as Aries was rather fragile by comparison.

Femember in the game Cloud was stabbed by Sephiroths Masamune, so the sword isn't what is important.

well getting stabbed through the stomach is much moer fatal than being stabbed in the shoulder, and as far as getting shot, Aeris sent him back remember? After the explosion with yazoo and loz and materia and so forth, he reappeared in the church in the new mako lifestreamy pond
not to mention apparently they use him as a weapon, what with using his body as a flying projectile in the Bahamut fight, so i think he'd have to be tough and not die so flippantly easy

I heard that Sephiroth's sword Masumune, when it killed someone they couldn't come back to life.
A stab in the stomach was more fatal than a stab on the shoulder, and as some one commented that Aerith sent Cloud back to the living world through the new lifestream pond.
I'm not sure if Aerith and Cloud are stronger or weaker than each other, but I'm sure anyone would die being stabbed in the stomach.

It's because squarsoft didn't plan on this becoming a debate...
If you noticed in FF7 Tifa also gets sliced in the front of her body by the masamune, which, just for the record, is considered a cursed sword created by a disciple of the famous swordsman Murasame (which is a sword of clouds also) and the good twin of the evil Murasame sword.
The reason (going by the game) Why Aeris hadn't lived, was because she wanted to die, so she could save the earth. Cloud, on the other hand, had to live to save the earth.

Cloud is stronger than Aeris and it was a dramatic scene with Aeris and all that good stuff. Why dont people die in fights? Or if they do you can just use a phoenix down. It's how it's written. The acrobatics in the movie and in the game are ridiculous so they're ability to die or survive when being shot or stabbed is up to the writers.

well if he can survive the worst case of mako poisoning that doctor said he has ever seen then he can survive a bullet and a stab xD
but yeah jenova cells maybe?
and he got stabed like right under the shoulder.
and i didnt see him get shot .-.
