Well, ACIDMAN just released their third major label album and god does it rule so I figured I'd make a thread for them, even if they're rock. They get compared a lot to The Back Horn but they are actually VERY different and VERY similar at the same time. They are both VERY passionate bands with very passionate singers, but while The Back Horn gets all in your s**t with screaming and distorted riffs, Acidman is more subtle with strumming guitars and fluid drums and bass rhythms. The vocalist, Ooki Nobuo, is more of a crooner and it complements the music perfectly.

Here is a torrent to the new album, Equal:

They are also very well known for their EXCELLENT instrumental songs, usually found as b-sides to their singles (Sai, Talk) and album tracks (a few songs on Loop). They are really something to be heard, really great stuff with driving bass and catchy drum rhythms.

eek

I love the instrumental songs on that, like Slow View. But my favorite song there is probably Isotope.

I like Isotope, too. I need to listen to the other ones... sou and suisha, I think.

I love the lyrics in Isotope... "My feelings came here passing through... another space. Passing through... another time. Looking for a resonance!" xd

Suisha is a single, Sou is an album (the first one).

Sou is very, very good. I may even like it more than Loop.

I'm so glad you like it. crying

My favorite tracks from Sou are probably Zouka ga Warau, Sekitou, Spaced Out and Yureru Kyuutai.

If you really liked Sou and Loop you should download the new one, Equal.

I love the part that goes "Taiyou to sora someting in japanese... shizkuka ni something in japanese" right before the chorus. I love Ooki Nobuo's voice. crying

Have you heard the Suisha EP yet?

I have, it's good. I don't have anything negative to say about acidman. It's the type of music I like. 3nodding
