Ice_Dragon_Demon  Vevina stood beside a large lake she was showing Lovebeam some of the places around the teepee she hadn't been before arriving. "See this is were I come to drink" she explained trotting to the edge of the lake and smiling. Vevina walked into the shallows of the lake and motioned for Lovebeam to join her in the clear water. Vevina flicked her small tail her ears perked up happily Amber eyes.Lovebeam followed the gray paint mare to the edge of the lake and nodded "I see" she answered calmly in a clear quiet voice. She was much calmer than this ever so hyper and cheerful mare that brought her to her human's teepee. Lovebeam since coming had met many other soquili as she wanderd the forest during day and night. Her mane and tail sparkled a long with her hooves.

 Calamity, who had previously been napping along the lake's banks, woke as the sounds of splashing reaches his ears. He blearily opened his bright green eyes and looked around, spotting at a slight distance a pair of soquili mares he'd only seen in passing previously.
Hesistating momentarily, he weighed his curiousity against his desire to continue his nap. There was a pleasant breeze coming off the waters, and he'd been having a very nice dream about the bizarre-yet-enticing kalona Ane...
But the urge to nap was fading fast, and he pulled himself up onto all fours and cantered slowly over towards the pair. "You know," he called out towards them, a smirk playing on his lips, "some people might be trying to sleep right now. All this sloshing about..."

Vevina smiled "Oh Sorry about that" she could tell he was a Kalnoa but it still didn't bother her one bit. Vevina was a sweet hearted soquili not judging fast and enjoying the company of any other soquili even the feard Kalona. Vevina noticed his smirk and retuned it with a wide smile "We can move to the other side of the lake to drink so you can finish your nap" she said nickering cheerfully. "Hey before we go can you tell me your name? I am Vevina"
Lovebeam sighed slightly how innocent she still was still like a newborn filly exploring the world the mystical sparkling mare smirked right back at the Kalona mysteriously. She listen to Vevina talk "Or perhaps you can move." she told the demon soquili with a flick of her striped tail it captured the sunlight and shone.

Calamity realized quickly that the naturally colored mare was the more forward of the two, and good-naturedly addressed her in reply. "I was kidding...Vevina, is it? I assure you it's no bother, and my name is Cala-"
He paused, looking over at the brightly colored soquili that had been silent to this point. Her little sentence was quick and sarcastic, though you could hardly tell it from the innocent smirk the mare wore. He noticed her long tail shimmering in the sunlight, thinking at first it was from the water. Closer inspection revealed her to have one of the more interesting tails he'd ever seen, covered in million of tiny points that sparkled softly.
He raised his eyebrows and looked back up again from Lovebeam's tail. "Pardon...Calamity. That is my name. It's a pleasure to meet you, and your nameless, witty friend here as well."
He nodded to both and smiled a bit wider. He tolerated other races of soquili much better when they were female.

She nodded "Ok," Vevina smiled "it's nice to meet you Calamity" she bowed her head in a kind greeting. Vevina was pretty sure this Kalona wasn't used to mares as friendly and good tempered as she was most from rumor would look at him with unease. She would give him a chance before she judged if rumors were true or not.
"What brings you to the forest lake?" she asked cheerfully with a wide smile. Noticing he was smiling back, although his mouth was filled with rows of sharp teeth she didn't mind.
Lovebeam smiled. Least he was some-what polite, she determined "I am
known as Lovebeam." she said with a smile. Might as well introduce herself now that he had, was a polite thing to do. Lovebeam swished her tail again back and forth noticing Calamity had taken notice of it. Indeed she was one of the most oddly colored soquili but she liked it that way.
Lovebeam too took notice of his appearance, like her his mane was striped different colors and his large draconic wings faded red. Markings up his legs and a single braid.
He was the First Kalona she had met. Atlest Vevina seemed to like him, course she liked everyone she met. Lovebeam chuckled silently to herself once more.

"She has a name!" He chuckled and sook out his mane. "It's a silly name, but better than none at all."
It wasn't meant to be mean-natured, but Cal could not help his tongue at times. And he was still a kalona, and capable of far greater atrocities than a mildly insulting remark.
"I was at the lake taking a well-deserved nap, since I'm more nocturnal than not, and spent last night stalking some very large prey..."
His grin took a darker, more sinister turn. He could have told them exactly what he'd meant...his prey had in fact been one of the pale, strange human that arrived some months ago. There had recently been a young foal stuck in on of the pale-legger's traps...
Needless to say, the human that fashioned himself a hunter was no longer burdered with mortality. And his mother had been correct as well, humans did make good food.
But none of that needed to be said...unless they asked, of course. He was far too proud of his kalona blood to ever lie or downplay his more vicious tendencies.
"But it's alright, I can sleep later. Why are you here?"

"Well, I was just showing Lovebeam around. This is were I usually come to drink and it's close to my human's teepee" she smiled "She is a very nice person" she added with a happy grin. "Did you catch your prey?" she asked cheerfully catching herself wondering if she really wanted to know since Kalona's ate meat. Vevina didn't notice in the least his dark grin she was just glad for conversation.
"Yes I do have a name" she replied to him not caring for the small insult could have been worse. Lovebeam the perceptive of the two did notice the dark grin "You hunted a human." she figured from his dark eyes. Such does a Kalona do. She told herself. Although they were bright green there was a darkness of his kind one may not see right away, she did.

Calamity smirked with appreciation at Lovebeam's perceptiveness. Silly name or not, she was clever for a mare. "I did, and it was."
He stretched his limbs and walked a little closer. "But if it's any sort of consolation, there was a noble purpose for last night's hunt...though I could honestly care less. A good human is a dead human."
He snorted and shook his mane. "I'll never quite understand how such an evolved creature could become so devoted to those primitive little two-leggers. Would you care to explain?"

Vevina looked at Calamity and smiled "My two legged is my friend that is how, love and friendship. My two legger raised me from inside the basket with my mother." she said happily, friendship was one of the strongest things Vevina thought. Vevina wondered why he would eat a human but just decided it was his nature and there was nothing wrong with it. She at one time would have been squimish about things dying but she had died inside once and things had changed. Vevina then continued her thought "All humans arn't evil, why don't you care for them have none shown you love or do you just not care enough to feel it?" She then asked
"True enough for the hunting but desturb the balance and the world will die." The bright female soquili guessed Lovebeam was un intimidated by the large Kalona. Lovebeam shrugged "I am not devoted as much Vevina, I just wander were my feet take me I care not whos in my way." she said tossing her sparkling mane. The silent stars were more pleasureable than this Kalona before her although she didn't let it show.
