Archard wandered up to the mansion silently, gazing up at the eerie building in a hesitant way. He'd been wanting to visit for a while now, but he was beginning to regret coming during the evening. The approaching darkness only made the house spookier. He sighed, and crossed the bridge into the house, peering about cautiously, hoping at least that someone would be around. He would have liked to see Soco or Mal, but neither were there, where he could see.
"Hello? Anyone around?" he called out, shuddering a little. He hadn't been here for so long. He smiled lightly as he heard a familiar chirp in his ear. It was good to have someone at least, the bird he'd recieved as a gift from a family member. He petted the feathered animal, and waited to see if there would be any response to his inquiry.

Ah, what a place to remember. Seymour had wanted to take a visit to the mansion for quite a time, but Icarus never let him. So, he came himself this time. He shuddered softly, the evening chill approaching. He quickly skittered across the bridge to the mansion, as if he were to fall and die if he didn't move fast enough.
He wondered if anyone was still awake, or even around. The house was usually full, so he suspected someone had to be there. As he became closer to the large mansion and he heard a voice. It seemed as if it were saying Hello, but he wasn't paying very close attention at the time. So, he decided to repsond with his own voice.
"Hello!" he shouted. It was loud enough to hear, but soft enough to be serious. He continued walking forward, to see where this voice happened to be coming from.
((If I have uber typos. Forgive me, I'm kinda sleepy. xD ))

Archard blinked lightly, and looked back. Someone was here! He backtracked through the couple of rooms he'd wandered through. He peered into the entry room again, and smiled lightly as he spied the other, younger boy, stepping out into the open. "Well, good evening! I was beginning to think that no one was around!" he said affably, observing the other for a moment. What a unique appearance! He shifted a bit, becoming a little shy. "I guess not many come in the evening anymore, huh?" (It's all good n_n)

"Oh!" He said slightly surprised as the older male had had seemed to appear out of nowhere and treat him so nicely, though never meeting him. His legs shifted, his large boots rubbing against eachother. Hm, what was he to say? He hadn't been here in a long while so he didn't know when people showed up.
He looked the man up and down, but he didn't recognize him.
"Hm. No I guess not.. of course I haven't been here in a while, so I don't know when people come at all." He said this flatly, not sure how to adjust his mood to repsond to the question.
"I'm Seymour. Who are you?" He asked curiously, ice coloured eyes slowly scanning the other up and down, taking in every peice of him.

"Heh, same here." Archard smirked lightly, and rubbed the back of his head with a gloved hand. Some thought him unusual to wear the leather gloves so much, but it made handling Ruri easier, and he did like having his bird about.
Truthfully, he hadn't visited the mansion since he'd been a teenager. "My name is Archard. Pleasure to meet you." he said in friendly tones, simply glad to have someone new to talk to. The age difference hardly seemed to matter to him at all...perhaps he'd find a friend in the new person.

Seymour's eyes wandered to the small bird. He was curious how to tame such a creature to be kept at ones side...
"That's a cute bird." He said to Archard. He rubbed his boots together, a sign of nervousness on his part. He felt akward randomly meeting someone new, with nobody else around.
"What's it's name?" He decided to ask, hopefully shifting the subject to something they could conversate about.

Archard, inwardly surprised in himself, did not feel quite as awkward as he might have when younger. Perhaps this sort of thing came with getting older.
"Thanks. His name's Ruri." he smiled, and took a seat on a nearby sofa, atting the other end, gesturing, if Seymour wanted to sit. "I got him as a gift, when he was much younger." Archard smiled lightly. "Do you have any pets?"

Seymour slowly made his way over towards the other end of the couch where he sat. He sat daintily, almost regally. His legs were held close for the fact he was wearing a skirt, though he found it uncomfortable at times.
"I have one...he's a cat. The only one he likes is me, otherwise he seems to hate everyone else in the house." His eyes drifted around the room as he spoke, taking in the environment as much as he could.
"Is your bird friendly?" He thought he'd ask, maybe if he was lucky he could hold it. He thought birds were quite pretty things, and he sometimes liked to watch them from the window.

Archard chuckled lightly. "Nice." he smirked lightly. Ruri wasn't his only pet...Moki, the sugar glider, could be quite partial to only him at times, and never let anyone else hold him.
"He's very friendly." he said, and reached up to let the red and brown bird step onto his finger. "Would you like to pet her?" he asked, stroking down the bird's back.
Ruri chirrupped quietly, and peered over at the boy with the peculiar blue hair, his glassy little eyes shimmering as he took the other in.

Seymours long nailed fingers cautiously reached out to stroke the small animal. His fingers trembled slightly. He really hoped it was friendly. Being bitten didn't sound very fun to him...
Slowly he let the tips of his nails stroke down the back of the bird to get a response..

The little bird sat quite still, looking up as Seymour touched and letting out a soft, shrill chirp. It's feathers were clean and pleasant to touch. Looking closer, one couldn't reall see it's species. It looked like an odd cross between a cockatoo and a falcon, with different coloring, of course.
Archard noticed the trembling. "He won't bite, no need to be shy. I'd let you hold him, but his talons are pretty sharp.... Rub into the feathers, it feels good to him." he advised, smiling lightly.

Seymour jumped slightly, startled by the chirp. His eyes widened as he closely examined the bird. He looked up at Archard when he spoke, nodding at what he was told.
His fingers moved to pet the bird more closely, and rubbing his fingers more into the feathers rather then over him. A small smile spread over his lips as he did this.
"So, what are you here for?" He asked, a kind of spaced sound in his voice, entranced in petting the bird.

Archard watched, smiling and nodding lightly. "There, that's it." he said. The little bird chirrupped again softly, leaning his head to aside to reveal it's soft, downy underfeathers. Ruri's skin could be felt underneath as well, soft, fragile, and warm.
The blonde blinked a little at the question. "Ooh. I just got bored. I wanted some company, outside family, and figured I'd come here and visit..."

Seymour happilly continued petting the little bird. It was so adorable. He wanted to ask Icarus for a bird now...
"Ohhh...Sorry if I wasn't one of the people you wanted to see. If you were looking for anybody imparticular. I haven't been here in a while.. Icarus never has time to bring me, so I came myself" He said this happilly, almost as if showing off how he got here without anybody else.

"Oh, I'm happy to see you." Archard chuckled softly. "I'm happy for any company, really." he assured, and got an idea. "Say, would you like to hold him, anyway? You can just use one of my gloves." he said. His arm was getting a little tired, and he was sure Seymour would enjoy it.
He smiled lightly. "Ah, that's good. I never came around myself really, until now."
