Name: Yuu Shirota How He Met The Boys: It was a dare, really, at least he stands by this. Yuu was sent to detention for sneaking (well, he just stood watch at the door) into the principle’s office and steal-… borrowing the stingy, starchy, balding man’s ever so coveted chair and using it for flaming joyrides around the halls. Yes, that is right, fire. One of the brilliant young idiots who had dared him to take part in this set the chair on fire while it was rolling down the hallway as a sign of ‘protest against the overflowing power in the principle’s hands’. Of course when some teachers showed up they all bolted leaving poor Yuu to take the fall… literally, he had been in the chair at the time and the thing toppled over. Thus off to detention he was sent off to detention instead of juvee since this had been, as on record, his first offense. It was a dare, he couldn’t resist, as he recited to the other boys he met. Four of them to be exact, and he noticed as they talked they all had a thing for music. Well, eventually, the ever so brilliant idea of a band was brought up, and Yuu just had to jump in. He loved music, and didn’t want to miss out on this oppurtunity. And his parents said that always taking every dare was bad, pssssh, look where it got him? Into a band! =D What Instrument He Plays: Yuu plays an American Vintage ’62 Precision Bass, his dream guitar which he pretty much payed off with 10 years of Christmas, a life time of birthdays, and oh… his soul. XP Just kidding, but it took him a long time to get this beauty and it’s quickly become the center of his life. His SoulLikes: Yuu likes his bass… a lot… he carries it everywhere, even to class. The bass can be seen in it’s soft carrying case, strapped to his back, as he walks the halls of school. Though teachers hate it, he can’t get in trouble, it’s not like he plays it during class. He’s just afraid if he puts it down then it’ll be lost forever. He also likes soccer, rabbits ( heart ), musicals, song writing and composing, and different types of dance. (Though if anyone ever found out about that he’d die). Dislikes: Green beans, video games (others can play them, but he’d rather be playing his bass), excessively pushey or cruel people, and isolation. He can take being alone for a couple of hours, but he just has to be around people. Either talking, or just being around them, he doesn’t care, as long as he’s not alone. Personality: Yuu is very much into anything he can do with his body (this doesn’t have to sound dirty if you don’t think that way. XD) or music he likes, he’s not into video games or electronics, he rarely touches his computer. Why type when you can talk face to face? If there’s something new he can learn to do, he’ll do it. So naturally, he loves sports, but ones with less equiptment and preferably outside. But unfortunatly his devotion to his music has kept him from joining any sport teams. He can often be seen in the band room, playing away with his precious bass. It is here that he noticed someone, a boy to be precise, who had a very strong beat to him. He later met the same boy in detention, Taylor Rogers. Another thing to Yuu, one that his parents rather hate, is that he’ll take any dare. He’s not a dare devil, he doesn’t challenge himself to jump from a building. But if someone else says to, he does, just because he doesn’t see why he should say no. If someone shows him a new way to test himself, why not? Though he usually finds ways around little death defying dares, the kind idiots give him like jumping off a building; like he’ll jump into a tree first, then to the ground. He didn’t NOT jump off the building, he just broke the fall up. However this characteristic of his backfires when he helps steal the principle’s chair and takes a joyride in it down the halls. History: Yuu Shirota comes from a long line of… chefs? If you thought music was in his blood you’d be wrong, none of his family is into it. They all simmer, grill, sauce things up, and BAM! To them Yuu is a freak. He’s the middle child out of three, pretty much his younger sister came about in hopes she’d be a chef, and what do ya know? She is. Yuu doesn’t really care that his parents don’t pay him an ounce of attention and praise his older brother who just graduated culinary school, and coo over his little sister who’s first words were “spatula” and “pan”. It just means he’s rarely at home, and gets to practice outside, which he loves anyways. Perhaps this is why Yuu prefers the outdoors to in, because he never really had a home to be in. His parents would always yell at him to “stop that racket!” whenever he played anyways. But instead of focusing on his home life Yuu focuses on his music, his own activities, and the people around him. And who knows… maybe this band will become his family.

Name: NeejaHow he met the boys: Neeja met Sumiko before all the rest, and that didn't go so well. But he later met them all in detention, Neeja was in there for playing with a lighter in class. He swears he can't help it, the little pyro. What instrument he plays: Neeja is the vocals for the group, unfortunatly Sumiko are the backup vocals when needed, Neeja tends to try and skip around writing parts for backup vocals in their songs. Why he joined the band: Neeja joined the band at first for the money. He grew to love singing with the other boys and the rush of performing and even the responsibility of writing most of the lyrics.Likes: Neeja like darker colors, he likes singing by himself or with his band only, fire in general (though fortunatly he is one of the most careful pyros we know) He likes confusing people. Neeja loves chains and black ribbon. He also likes making fun of Jeimuzu for being short but defends him when anyone else does it.Dislikes: Sumiko. He also hate it when people try and make him choose a religion. When people freak out because he is gay. When people make fun of his singing. He hates feeling alone but not being alone. That time when the sun starts rising and he hasnt slept or when the sun rises and wakes him up. Last but not least, Neeja hates most of his teachers.Personality: Neeja is the type to hold a grudge thus the feud with Sumiko. He would like being in the band more if Sumiko would either leave or do something to make Neeja forgive him. The dark boy likes to play with fire outside while staring at the stars on the night of a full moon. He generally ends up in the same place as Sumiko so the two have learned to leave eachother alone. Neeja has massive mood swings and rage fits which make most people avoid him considering his height is big enough to be strong enough to be able to beat most of the other boys in school.History: Neejas parents disowned him when they found out how much of a misfit he was and that he cut himself. They cast him out on his own and left him to create a new life. Thats when he moved to a different town and returned to school, he is a year older then any of the other boys due to it. Once he found his own little apartment he struggled with a job and trying to get himself through school at the same time. He attempted to end his own life once trying to get away from all the troubles, fortunatly he survived and soon met the other boys. They started the band and luckily the paymnt from that was enough for Neeja to quit his job and devote his time to the band and making it through high school.

Name: Sumiko How he met the boi’s: Sumiko met the boi’s in detention, don’t ask why he was there he doesn’t remember but that’s where they met became friends…at least most of them are friends. But that is where they formed their band. What instrument he plays: Sumiko plays the keyboard, but will lend his vocals if the band wants him too. He’s been playing the keyboard since he was six when he got his first one, though it was a cheap one. He has since upgraded to a very good keyboard. Likes: Playing his keyboard, the color maroon or burgundy. Music class, Sumiko also loves pepper stake and chow main noodles. He also likes playing in the band. Dislikes: People who stare at his eye patch, overly energetic people…there’s no need for it. People who rat each other out. People who bother him cause he’s quiet. Personality: Sumiko is a silent person, normally involved in his studies and the band. He get’s along with most people, doesn’t like the teachers at his school or his grandmother. When Sumiko isn’t playing with the band he can be found doing homework or just hanging around even if he is the quiet one in the band. History: Sumiko lives with his grandmother, has since he was just little. He moved in with her after an accident with his parent, which caused him to lose his eye, which took some getting used to but now that he is, he doesn’t mind it besides he gets to wear cool eye patches. Sumiko enjoys school cause it’s a place were he’s free of his grandmother and her constant pushing. He’s good at his studies and enjoys music class were he plays the piano and the keyboard. He is also in a band and loves to play with them even if he doesn’t get along with Neeja. Hopefully that will get better with time.

Name: Taylor Rogers How he met the boys: Normally, Taylor is a very well behaved kid. Despite his unique flair causing him to stand out in a crowd, he's very content to sit back, relax, and watch the trouble rather than cause it - so it was a surprise to find him in detention, where he happened to meet his other band mates. If this hadn't seemed fate enough, it was actually his relentless drumming that had gotten him into detention in the first place. He didn't quite remember exactly what happened, so he was left to assume that, during history(or had it been math?), he had simply become so bored that he had begun to improvise off of the ticking of the clock, his fingers tapping adeptly at the edge of his desk. Sleep-drumming, perhaps it could have been called, for in the next moment, although completely unaware, Taylor was drumming out a very elaborate solo with the flat of his palms against his desk, effectively interrupting a lecture about pi...or George Washington the 3rd...or something. Unfortunately, the teacher of whichever class it was wasn't at all stingy with the detention slips, and thus he had landed himself a seat next to 4 other musically inclined class mates. And, with the absense of a teacher for only a few minutes, the whispers flew back and forth between the boys as they always will, setting the foundations of what was soon to be their band. Oh, the noise he could make with them! Mrs. Whatsherface of whicheverclass would surely love this. What instrument he plays: Walking down the street, Taylor had always known he was cut out to be a drummer, and he felt it even now, listening to the rhythmic tapping of his shoes against the pavement. Even as a child, he had seemed capable of feeling the beat in everything flow throughout his body. From the lullaby-playing mobile hung above his crib to the devoted hours he'd spend with his bass drum in the percussion section of the school band, the rhythm of his surroundings was always coursing through him, usually finding a way to manifest itself, if he could help it. Drumming his fingers on his desk during school, however, wasn't the most productive thing...according to teachers. But how could he help it? Having taken lessons since the age of 7, it was practically bred into him. But now he was ready to do more than read and repeat lines of music - he was ready to create his own music and give others the chance to dance to his own beat. Likes: Nearly any kind of music, breaking in new drums and drumsticks, pissing the neighbors off with his cymbols, singing in the shower, walking down the street to the beat of "Another One Bites the Dust" with his brim pulled way down low, swinging his chains around his fingers, eating velveeta and shells, and shiny golden things. Dislikes: Loud, obnoxious people with no musical talent to back it up, people who actually pay attention in history/math and make him look bad, silence or white noise, and violence. Personality: While not particularly loud, unless behind a set of drums, Taylor is still lively and eager to join in any type of fun to be had with a smile on his face. When he sets his sights on a goal, he really focuses, often becoming completely obsessed, blocking out anything around him until he achieves it. With his combination of ambition and spunk, he sets his goals high and often achieves them, always trying to enjoy the sights along the way. History: Taylor has, as far as he can remember, always led a very solid life with a very supportive family. Being an only child, he has always received the full attention of his parents, and has perhaps been molly-coddled a little bit more than necessary. Luckily, this seems to include his parents not minding the thunderous blows echoing from his drum set, although his neighbors decidedly hate it. Unfortunately for them, he likes to play long and loud - hey, it's not his fault they can't appreciate good music! After his detention, however, his parents seem to have taken preference of school work over drums, much to his chegrin. He was quite sure they wouldn't appraise the news of his being in a band, so he's quite content to accept that what they don't know can't hurt them. He does enjoy the adventure of it, after all, and while he's not a spoiled brat, he has always gotten what he wants. He'd simply consider keeping it from his parents working for it. Lucky Charm: Lucky Japanese Nekos - In Japan, they're widely known as Maneki Nekos. Maneki Nekos are figurines of cats that are holding a paw up in a sign of welcome. Tey are often used in shops across Japan as a good luck charm to bring in customers. Depending on which paw they're holding up, they are said to either invite ltos of guests and customers(left paw), or bring vast wealth and fortune(right paw). Also, the higher the paw, the better the luck will supposedly be. Many other variations can also be found in Maneki Nekos. Tri-colored nekos are revered as a good luck charm world wide, due to their rarity in nature. White nekos represent purity, black nekos, contradictory to the superstition of black cats crossing your path being bad luck, are talisman's against evil, red excorsises evil spirits, gold invites more money, and pink attracts love. Taylor enjoys collecting Maneki Nekos mainly because of their origin, and how it ties in with him. The legend of the Maneki Neko is based on a real cat's ability to predict the weather. It is said that if a cat washes its face, it will rain. Originally, Maneki Nekos raised their paws not in welcome, but to wash their face. The idea of it inviting guests was attatched as cats also wash their faces out of nervousness when there are people around, and it can also be assumed that when it rains, people will seek shelter. Taylor likes to interpret this as if any of his friends get caught in a storm, or are otherwise in trouble, he will always be there to lend them a helping hand and invite them inside. Thus, he surrounds himself with Maneki Nekos to reflect his amicable attitude. And hey, if it brings him vast wealth, just as his band might, well, that's just twice as nice, isn't it?

 Name: Jeimuzu~
Breed: Not sure yet.
Date of Birth: Not sure, either.
How he met the boys: He'd fallen asleep one too many times in sociology class, and had been caught listening to his headphones in world history class, and had been sneaking peeks at manga during English class, so he finally got sent to detention. He'd seen a few of the others around and had heard of Taylor's notorious incessant drumming, but hadn't talked to them until then.
What instrument he plays: Guitar. Why? Dunno. How? Dunno. He just plays guitar. >.>
Why he joined the band: He's easily bored and wanted something cool to do afterschool.
Likes: Well, music and guitars, for one. Doesn't matter what kind of music; he can appreciate just about anything. He likes manga, but isn't too fond of anime or video games (he just likes the music). He's convinced that anime and video games cause seizures. Oh, and he likes to sleep. A lot. He likes food, so long as it isn't too "heavy." Mmm, noodles.
Dislikes: Being called short. ;-; Television, especially American Idol. Beans. Water.
Personality: Unpredictable.
History: When a man and a woman love each other very much...

Lucky charm? Not lucky for the rabbit...
The rabbit’s foot is a widely available charm that is sold today in many places such as vending machines and small shops. However not all of these follow the superstitions, as most of them end up being fake, with fake fur or latex ‘bones’. A common fad is for them to be died various colors, and mounted on key chains. They are often carried by gamblers or other people hoping they will bring luck.
The belief that the rabbit’s foot is lucky originates in African-American folk magic, common in the south, known as hoodoo. However sources are often crossed, or mixed, on what really makes the rabbit’s foot lucky.
1) Only the left hind foot of a rabbit can be used as a charm. 2) The rabbit must have been shot in a cemetery. 3) According to some sources the phase of the moon is important too. Some say it must be shot during a full moon, while others say a new moon is the correct time. Others say that it must be a Friday, or a rainy Friday, or Friday the 13th. It is also said that the rabbit must be shot with a silver bullet, or the foot must be taken while the rabbit is still alive. 4) Also, the person who shoots the rabbit, must be cross-eyed. Pictures removed since the event is over and they stretch the page too much. XDDD Thhooooough, must thank Oolong, the cutest rabbit owned by a Japanese photographer. Without him the former abundance of pics here would not have been possible. Time to Oogle Oolong! XDDD

Why four leaf clovers are lucky: One leaf is for FAITH. The second for HOPE. The third for LOVE. And the fourth for LUCK! History of the four leaf clover: The four leaf clover is a universally accepted symbol of good luck with its origin ages old. According to legend, Eve carried a four leaf clover from the Garden of Eden. "The clovers also occupied a position in the cultural life of early peoples. White clover (T. repens L.) in particular was held in high esteem by the early Celts of Wales as a charm against evil spirits." Clover Science and Technology". N.L. Taylor, 1985. Druids held the 4 leaf clover in high esteem and considered them a sign of luck. In 1620, Sir John Melton wrote: "If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaved grass, he shall in a small while after find some good thing. The mystique of the four leaf clover continues today, since finding a real four leaf clover is still a rare occurrence and omen of good luck.

There is no specific reason why gemstones are lucky other than each person’s own beliefs. Some people consider them lucky since it is their birthstone, a stone representing the month they were born in. While legends and folklore say certain gems bring luck in certain situations, such as tigers eye for gamblers. Also their beauty gives people the impression of all that is good in the world, and it is believed that they can repel the evils of the world. African Jade - Bring Luck and Wealth. Alexandrite - Gemstone for Luck. Amazonite - Bring Luck. Break an unlucky streak. Green Aventurine - Luck in Gambling. Cats Eye - Very lucky for gamblers. Hemimorphite - Bring Luck & Charm. Jade - Thought to bring luck & Prosperity. Labradorite - Used in luck charms. Moldavite - Moldavite is thought to bring luck. Mother-of-Pearl - Bring wealth. Opal - Thought to bring back luck if not October born. Sunstone - Luck and Optimism in love. Tiger Eye - Luck for gamblers. Turquoise - Considered Lucky by many cultures.

[Stuff about why rainbows are so goshdarn lucky. surprised ]Quote: + The idea that a pot of gold can be found at the rainbow's end originated somewhere in old Europe. In Silesia, an obscure area of eastern Europe, it was said that the angels put the gold there and that only a nude man could obtain the prize. Hmm..... + Can you go under a rainbow's arch and come out the other side? Not according to the laws of physics. A rainbow is all light and water. It is always in front of you while your back is to the sun. However, there is an old European belief that anyone passing beneath the rainbow would be transformed, man into woman, woman into man! Hmm.... Well, that would be less painful than going to a surgeon. + Do two people ever see the same rainbow? No. As the eyes of two people cannot occupy the same place in space at the same time, each observer sees a different rainbow. Why? Well, because the raindrops are constantly in motion so its appearance is always changing. Each time you see a rainbow, it is unique in its own spectacular way! Many people consider rainbows to be an omen of some kind. It is an ancient desire rooted in our cultural mythologies. + The legends of many cultures see the rainbow as a kind of bridge between heaven and earth. One of the most beautiful sights in nature, the rainbow has become in western culture a symbol of renewed hope; something lucky to look upon. To Iranian Moslems, even the brilliance of the colors in a rainbow have significance. A prominent green means abundance, red means war, and yellow brings death. The Arawak Indians of South America recognize the rainbow as a fortunate sign if it seen over the ocean, while tribes in northeastern Siberia see it as the tongue of the sun. The North American Catawba Indians of the Southeast and the Tlingit of the Northwest both regard it as the bridge between the living and the dead.
