A pale shadow drifted over the roof of the wood, the canopy of trees making it hard for the winged beast to enter the cool shade of the dense foliage. Cyan green eyes peered about, blue and black tattoos sparkling eerily in the midday sun, a sheen of sweat covering the Wind Soquili's hide. Blood red mane and tail wavered in the slight breeze created but his red tipped wings, but otherwise the world was dead to the breeze, and the heat was oppressive. A small opening appeared in the blanket of green, and the Soquili dived, pulling his wings in close to avoid damage to the feathers and bones of the light structures. Stretching out his forelegs, Tawali touched down in a whole new world.
Tans and browns were the most prominant of colours, compared to the lush greens from above. Tawali snorted at the loamy smell of the wood around him, scuffing at some of the fallen, crackling leaves beneath him with a dark hoof. Only mud and leaf mould underneath. Snorting at it, Tawali tutted a few times and looked up. There was no way that he could get out of that! He could hardly believe he had got in! The hole was merely a break inbetween two sets of branches, and it was lucky he had pulled in his wings when he had, or he could still be hanging up there, snagged. Swearing at himself mentally for being such a fool, Tawali peered around the gloomy closeness of the tree trunks. Shadowed paths stretched for miles around, and there was no obvious clearing or exit from the forest. Double cursing himself, Tawali whickered at his stupidity before lashing his tail against his side, the braid beads and feathers clacking together.
Tawali started to walk north bound, the way he had been headed in the sky. At least he was out of the immediate sun! It was cooler down here, with a very faint breeze whispering between the tree trunks, pulling playfully at his mane and cooling his body further, the sweat over his pelt chilling his warm muscles. The feathers on his dreamcatcher tickled his leg as he plodded along, ferns and brambles pulling at his fetlocks, causing his withers to ripple in annoyance.

The orange-cloud soquili examined the flower under the thick shade of the trees. Examing in every detail, the veins in he leave, pollen grains. Her thirst for knowledge and her curiousity was never saited. She raised her head when she was finished inspecting the flower.
Lovebeam startled for only and instand looked behind her to see a large wind soquili land, blood tipt feathers, his green eye looked as if it cried blood. He was an intresting pattern, the tattoo designs and his back leg only one, was blood red. Lovebeam's crystal blue eyes examined the soquili throughly. She smiled "Hello there" she called trotting quickly over to him. "Carried here by the wind no doubt." Lovebeam said noticing he had thought himself a fool for landing "Want me to help you find the way out?" she asked him.

Tawali started, turning to look at the female that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Her colouration made him wince visably, her bright white, orange, blue and pink colours an assult to his senses. He backed away from her a little, looking up to the gap he had managed to squeeze though and wondered if it was worth the possible injury. Deciding he prefered his body in its perfect health, Tawali turned his attention back to his 'guest' as she began to speak, noting her rather amused though worried expression with a frown.
"Actually no, by the sun and its incredible knack at burning my ears." He said dryly, a hint of sarcasm tinting the edges of his voice. His wings puffed out with indignation as he glanced around the rather dull wood scene, raising an eyebrow at her, wondering if this was where she chose to live out her days. "Erm... if you like..." He murmured in response to her question, cyan green eyes looking her over, becoming accustomed to her brightness. "I suppose if you have nothing better to do but spend your afternoon with such a strapping Stallion!" He smirked, winking slyly at her, cyan green eyes holding a hint of mischief as he sidled up to her, dark hooves light on the leaf litter beneath him.

"I take it you dont like my bright colors" she observed of him. Lovebeam listened as he spoke heard the sarcasm in his voice "No this is not were I live" she answered his unspoken though "I just came here to observe and learn. That is untill you the hansome stallion came down from the heavens" she said in a teasing sarcastic manner.
"Ofcourse I have nothing better to do than spend the afternoon with you." she gave his smirk right back as he slide up beside her. "Come this way" she motioned as she started walking westward the light that did pass through the thick canopy made her mane and tail sparkler even brighter than what they were aleady.

Tawali raised an eyebrow at her, the smirk looking more and more mischievious as she spoke. My my, a fiery creautre! He pranced up along her side, moving close to her, wing brushing her side as he fell into step with her. He watched the wood pass them by, weaving in and out of the tree trunks, the leaf litter beneath their hooves crackling, almost like an imitation fire.
"You learn here, you say, lady?" He asked, cyan green eyes looking around. "Is the wood a good teacher, or are you just a keen pupil?" He snickered, head held high as he watched her. She seemed to be quite small compared to him, and wondered wether her bright colours weighed her down, smirking inwardly at his joke.

Lovebeam looked at him when his wing stroked her side as they continued to walk. Every step Lovebeam took was gentle, delicate and her mane, tail flowed like shining banners behind her as she walked. The breeze played in her hair. Lovebeam listened to the crackling leaves beneath her hooves and his. She noted his mischevious smirk and just smiled in return.
"If one takes the time to observe and listen one may learn much from the forest life" she payed no heed to his taunts and teasing. "I have a keen eye and good ears" she told him holding her head up.

Tawali rolled his cyan green eyes at the female, mouth pulled into a bored smirk as he shook his head, looking out between the tree trunks. He chuckled and decided to fish around for another conversation. To be honest, this female seemed a little boring! Walking a little faster and turning round infront of her, keeping step but walking backwards, Tawali looked mischieviously at her, trying to think of something interesting to talk about.
"C'mon, there must be something interesting about you, lady! A name could be interesting? Perhaps you should tell me yours? I'm dubbed Tawali. Most fitting, no?" He grinned and struck a dynamic pose, wings spread in a halo of red around him. "I met a Soquili before that thought it most suited me! Tawali by name, Tawali by nature!" He laughed and trotted on ahead, weaving between the trees, braided tail held high as he trotted quickly, using his wings and hind legs to direct him around the large wooden structures that held up the leafy canopy above them.
"A Wind must be Wild." He called, laughing, stopping ahead of her, peering around the large trunk of a tree, hind quarters on the other side of it. "Don't you think?"

Lovebeam looked at him infront of her. She would laugh if he hit something. Although she kept that to herself. Lovebeam smiled in a charming manner "I am known as Lovebeam" she said, I thought I already told him my name she thought to herself privately. She shrugged guess not. Lovebeam ignored the hidden insult. The orange-cloud mare moved aside and trotted faster. "Truely fitting for one such as you." she smiled at him
Lovebeam quickened her trot again to catch up to him. She didn't care if he was faster than she. She watched the wind soquili weave through the trees. Lovebeam had to admit that true she nodded "Most fitting I must admit."

Tawali continued to weave in an out of the tree trunks, cyan green eyes watching the strangely patterned female as she quickened slightly to keep up. He laughed lightly and kicked up his fetlocks, almost skipping around the trees to avoid them. Great work out he must admit, though it never made him tired. That was the strange thing, he was always so full of energy.
"Soooo, Lovebeam huh? Interesting, interesting..." He said as he trotted in front of her and crossed back. "Not a common name, but hey, if it suits, who am I to judge?" Rearing up and taking a few steps on his hind legs before resting back on all four, Tawali snorted and looked around.
"This wood looks all the same to me. Have we made ANY progress? These close knit trees are starting to get to me. Where is my free reign sky?"

"Yes indeed it does suit," she said smiling "Yes we have, see up ahead the trees end." Lovebeam told Tawali. Lovebeam smiled as they entered into the open light. The sky blue above them. Lovebeam preffered the night sky to the day. "There Tawali the sky." she said looking upward the wind whipped her mane and tail. "Fly away if you must now, there is the glorious sky." Lovebeam stood on her hind legs and reared to the sky "I love the sky." she muttered setting all for of her hooves on the ground

Peering up at the sky, Tawali smiled a little, a true smile that was quite rare from the stallion. His love of the sky ran so deep in his veins he was almost always truely happy when it appeared over head. His cyan green eyes filled with happiness and he truely enjoyed the soft breeze that ruffled his mane.
"It is a shame you cannot fly with me, Lovebeam. The sky teaches more then the woods, it has seen many things, and will show you with the lightest of breezes the changes the landscape has undergone." Tawali let a soft sigh escape his lips, cyan green eyes turning to the mare as she rose on her hind legs. "It is a shame, lady, that you will never experience the pleasure of the wind in your mane as you ride the currents of the sky..." He smiled saddly for her, and shook out his wings.

Lovebeam smiled nodding "I do so love the night sky and what it too has to offer" she gazed up to the sky upon seeing his joyful expression in his bright green eyes. He truly was a wild one. "I have learned much from staring at the sky but alas I can not experience the sky as you can. I learn from everything I see." she then added.
Lovebeam smiled as he brought out his wings. "Perhaps I shall see you again one day Tawali of the wild." She said kindly. He was an intresting soul to meet, she enjoyed their meeting. Lovebeam decided to watch him take to the sky before finally leaving.

Tawali looked at her aghast, making a mock hurt look spread across his features as he trotted out into the sunlight to enjoy the warmth that had driven him into the tree cover to begin with. It made him appriciate the fact that he could fly, being in the forest, but if he hadn't of landed, he wouldn't of met Lovebeam!
"You think, lady, that I would be so rude as to leave my guide once she had led me back to my open sky?!" He returned and bopped his head up and down in a '8' motion, mane whistling. "It would be rude of me, lady! I know I may act brash, but I could not simply fly away after you have helped me! What would be your thoughts of me then, hm lady?" He eyed her and stood with his legs neatly together. "'That Tawali!'" He said, imitating a high pitched voice. "'What a rude rude Soquili!' The lady would say! 'How rude of him to forget his guide and simply fly off with nothing more then a thankyou!' Well lady! I am not like that!" He smiled and relaxed his posture, a chuckle escaping him.
"Come, let us walk a while more, lady!" He looked at her with large, sweet eyes. "Please?"

Lovebeam gave a smile "Nay I would think you only as you are a creature of the sky needing to return to were he belonged" Lovebeam said Truthfully. "A shame indeed I cannot catch the stars in the sky, but Everything is as it is ment to be." she stared at the wild blue sky "THe sky too does teach, I learn what I can from the ground alas it is not all I can learn if I did have wings such as yours."
She chuckled "Of course I would be delighted to walk with you Tawali, you needn't show suck sweet eyes I would either way." she said in a mystic fashion her bright mane and tail sparkled all the brighter in the clearing as if they were on fire bright pink and blue.
