Zac studied the papers in front of her incredulously. Kami was right; there were other doll owners besides the two friends and Cal. The woman mused over what Kami had told her, though she couldn't remember her comrade's exact words. Did Kami say don't call… or did she say to call…? Oh well, better just to call this lady anyways. We can go get ice-cream!

Her fingers awkwardly punched in the number for Epi on the phone (though she messed up more than once and had to hang up the phone in fear of the scary voices). Finally there was a tiny ringing in the receiver and the faint click of an answering machine started:

Hi, my name is Zac. I have two dolls from the shop… uh… BELLUS PUPA! Anyways I was thinking we could get some ice-cream from Mel's Ice Cream shop and bring our dolls. It could be really, really fun~! I've got a boy and girl, and it says here that you have a girl, too. Hehe, this weird thing says your address, too, so if you don't come I'm just going to come over to your house! See you soon, Epi.

She slammed the phone into its holder and headed for the door. What a fun day this would be!

Epi paced back and forth in the comfort of her living room, arms folded neatly behind her back. Naiya was spending some quality time at the beach - having not fully recovered from the shock of learning that two souls inhabited her body, - leaving the distressed woman to mull over the painfully chirpy invitation to grab some ice-cream. Being rather socially inept (Windy and Naiya being the only two people Epi had ever conversed with,) the meeting seemed like rather an epic task; and as Naiya had never met anyone of her kind, the guardian struggled to think of ways to prepare her for this meeting.

Running a hand through her violet locks, Epi shook her head incredulously.
"Me? Why me?" she wondered aloud, halting her pacing in order to steal a glance at the phone. Heading back towards it, she replayed the message. The girl named Zac (and her dolls) wanted to meet her and Naiya at Mel's Ice Cream, though she didn't give a time. The girl decided to collect Naiya from the beach and head straight there.

Naiya had been lounging about in the sea when she heard Epi's voice. With a pained and reluctant sigh, Naiya dove to the seabed and bid goodbye to her aquatic friends, quickly making for the shore where Epi waited with a towel. Casting a final look behind her at the rippling waves, she smiled to herself.

"Where are we going?" the youth asked as she slid her hat back atop her sodden locks.

"Mel's Ice Cream," came Epi's uncertain reply.
"Who are we meeting?"
"A girl called Zac and her dolls; I believe they are like you."
"Oh, really? How fantastic! I've been longing to meet someone like me for a while, now.."

Though Naiya's voice lacked the fear and anxiety of Epi's, the guardian certainly was making an effort to fool her younger companion into thinking she wasn't nervous. It seemed to work.

"How should I act?"
"Just be yourself."
"What if they don't like me?"
"Don't be silly, Naiya. Of course they'll like you. Why wouldn't they?"
".. Because.. Because I'm different.."
"If anything, that's a reason for them to like you more. Now please, do stop worrying; we're nearly there, and first impressions mean everything."

Epi braved a smile as she urged her daughter towards a vacant table and waited for Zac; it was then that panic set in, as she realised she didn't have a clue who she was looking for.

Zac scrunched up her face while trying to study the file in front of her. There was a picture of the doll attached to it, but no one was carrying a doll around the ice cream parlor. She drug her two children forward, one in each hand, to venture further into the sweet-tasting wonderland. They had to find this Epi person fast--Zac wanted ice cream now!

Tsurara looked around in amazement. Sure he was used to going out a lot... but never without Yoru. When his little friend was around he never paid attention to the weird humans around him; now he did... AND THEY LOOKED SO COOL. The young boy wanted to wrench his hand away from his mother, just so he could explore.... well... that, and he wanted a milkshake.

Kori, unlike her brother, had the guts to jerk herself away from Zac's death grip of DOOM. She snatched the file from her mother's hand and observed the picture, then scanned the crowd before them. There was one strange looking girl with the same hat as the doll. She pointed her porcelian finger at Naiya with a glare, "That's her."

Naiya had the unsettling feeling that someone was watching her; inclining her head towards Kori, she found her suspicions were validated. Eyes wide (not unlike a rabbit trapped in a truck's headlights,) she hastily turned her head back to face Epi, confused and rather hurt. She wondered what to say, how to explain that they were being watched, but the words escaped her.

Epi, always able to sense her daughter's feelings, took her hand gently.
"They're here?" she whispered, stealing a glance over Naiya's shoulder. The girl nodded swiftly, squeezing her guardian's fingers tentatively.
Bravely, Epi stood up, now catching a glance of the twins and their owner herself. With a wide smile and an outstretched hand, she waved, beckoning them to her table.
"I think we need more chairs.." she added as an afterthought.

"HI!" Zac squealed in delight towards the strange couple across the parlor. The mother was not relinquishing her grip on her two children, and instead started to drag them towards their new friends. "My name's Zac, this is Kori, and this is Tsurara." She made sure to point towards the correct person as she mentioned his/her name.

"You must be..." Zac had to glance down at her paper again. "Epi and Naiya, right?"

Epi and Naiya nodded in unison, both with similar smiles adorning their faces. Naiya's seemed a little forced, since she was rather intimidated by Kori and Tsurara - they looked.. well.. normal. Compared to her, at least. Epi glanced at her teenage daughter, gently squeezing her hand in a supportive manner.
"Yes, that's us. Would you care to sit?" Epi asked politely, standing and moving towards a few vacant seats, ready to add them to the table.

In the meantime, Naiya was busy gazing at the twins. Her eyes flickered between the two freely, chewing her lip anxiously and wondering what to ask. Epi had taught her about general conversation topics, but she didn't quite know how to ask.
"It's, um, I mean, it's nice to meet you," the girl said awkwardly, beginning to toy with the ends of the throw that coated their table. "I-I'm Naiya," she added, in case they didn't know.

Zac followed Epi to the seats and gripped two's back rest at the same time before proceeding to drag them. There was a horrible screeech on the floor as she did this, and shivers were sent up Kori's spine. The medicated woman plopped down into the seat and her daughter followed in unison. Tsurara just found an uncomfortable seat on his mother's lap.

"Hi, I'm Tsurara!" His copyright goofy smile took the place of any curious grin from before. The boy started to squirm on top of his mother's knees, but he eventually settled down and looked towards Naiya and Epi. "That's a pretty name... Naiya."

"I'm Kori." Tsurara's twin folded her arms and looked away from the others. This was her only contribution to the conversation, and that was all she wanted to give.

Naiya watched the two twins, repeating their names in her head.
Kori is the girl. Tsurara's the boy. Kori is the girl. Tsurara's the boy.
Her lips began to silently form the words as she glanced at them.
"Thank you," Naiya finally replied to Tsu's compliment. "Thank you very much. I like your names, too. Kori and Tsurara.. They're very unusual."
She nodded softly in agreement with herself.

"Zac, do you know if this place is self-service?" Epi asked.
