i have a friend at school that says it does, but another one says it doesn't
because "first strike damage has nothing to do with combat damge or something like that." and i just want to clear it up.

first strike is different from normal damage. in that their are actually 2 damage steps first-strike and normal. first-strike resolves first and then normal strike resolves (they don't say normal strike because it is normal)
then blockers deal damage at the same speed as their card says so. so a blocker with first-strike still deals damage faster than normal.

so what your saying is..it does deal both so they would take 8?

yes. double strike is two strikes at once. but if it is blocked by a creature it was already blocked and if the creature dies from the first strike it was already blocked and can't deal more that turn. (unless it has trample) so Double strike has the weakness that without trample it just deals a lot of damage. and if it hits a player it is essentially two of that creature without double strike. the double-strike hits twice to whatever it can.

awsome, next.
can a 0/0 creature live? like a spike?
what if its just a until end of turn thing like crippling fatiuge?

a creature with 0 as a toughness dies . it is like AIDS that creature dies from being poked or a random virus. it can't survive with 0 toughness. technically the creature u named is a -2/-2 but magic rounds up to the nearest number above -1 so it is a 0/0 so no power it dies instantly so that is why decks that use a lot of that destroy weaklings.
