Welcome to the Classic Rock Guild! This is a place for rockin' Gaians to gather and discuss their favorite classic rock bands. We are currently updating, so please be patient.

Below are some of the rules to follow in this guild.

1. Please try to not go too far off topic. Making one or two threads for chatting is alright, but this isn't a chatterbox guild.

2. This is a guild about CLASSIC rock. Modern rock should be discussed elsewhere, unless the thread contains a comparison. I might make one thread for discussing modern rock, but please stick to that thread.

3. Please refrain from using net speak. Typing out your sentences is much easier to read, and most Gaians respect those who take the time to do so.

4. Please ask any questions you have to myself or any other administrators. This includes what bands are to be discussed in here.

5. Please, USE THE STICKIES. That's why they're there.

6. Recruiting new people is an excellent idea, just make sure they live up to the guild's standards.

7. Please only post about bands listed in the announcement pertaining to what bands are acceptable here. If you believe something is missing from that list, please make a suggestion there, and we will review it.

Terribly sorry, Oystein and Jester! I meant to have the entry fee for the guild at zero before I invited you, but I forgot! gonk If there's ever a way for me to take out of the guild funds and give back to you, I will do so. Anyways, I changed it back to zero. Let's hope our other donators won't have to redonate. sweatdrop

Congratulations. You guys have made it through almost exactly one month and two weeks of guild mania(I would have done it after one month, but totally forgot sweatdrop ). After a few well-spoken debates, locked threads, and banned members, we're still here. Anyways, the real reason I made this update is to tell you guys that I won't be here December 2-5. I'm heading off to New York City for the weekend. This means that you guys have to answer to the other mods while I'm away. Not like anyone has had to answer to me anyways.

Today I'm going on a ski trip with a few friends, and I won't return until Sunday afternoon. I trust that all of my awesome mods will watch over the guild for me. Happy New Years, everyone!

Okay. Haven't posted in forever. I have some good excuses, though: 1. Internet was down for a week. 2. Wrestling tournament all day Saturday of last weekend. 3. I had bronchitis and strep at the same time, and I have been sick since last Saturday. Missed all week of school because of it. And 4. Two day wrestling tournament two hours away, left yesterday afternoon and didn't get back until a little while ago. Anyways, it seems that I've missed a lot of Gaia events and the guild for a while, so gimme a little bit of time to catch up. We've got a promising new member coming in, so maybe they'll help light up the guild a little.

Just posting to let you guys know that I am leaving on Monday for a trip to Cleveland (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! whee ) And won't be back until Wednesday, possibly Thursday if we decide to stay an extra day. Let me know if there's anything you want a picture of. blaugh

So just now the Pizza Guy and myself went through the member list and banned those members who have 2 or less posts in the guild. Users with 10 or less posts will be receiving a PM from either one of us. Respond to this PM by July 1 if you want to stay in the guild. Thanks.

Hokay. So. Haven't updated in a while. School just started, so don't be surprised when my posts become shorter and further between. Not like they weren't like that anyways? Just thought I'd let ya know.

Sorry for the delay in accepting or declining your guys' requests to join. They changed the location of the area where we check requests, so I would keep looking in the old place and just figure no one new had applied. I'm pretty pleased with several of the requests I saw, so hopefully this will mean a rush of new, active members. School is cooling down now, with the first quarter almost down the drain, and my own activity level is increasing. Just thought I'd leave you guys an update.

Happy New Year, my fellow classic rock fans. Hopefully this New Year will see an increase in my time and interest to this guild, for I've really been bad about taking care of the guild recently. I've been very stressed out non-stop since September, and even more since November when wrestling practice began every weekday after school and matches that take up entire weekends. In fact, the only reason I found time to get on today was because I got up for wrestling and my clock was ahead an hour so I thought I was late. Anyways, the point is, I doubt I'm going to have an extreme opening in my schedule until March or so when wrestling ends. And that reason doesn't even bring in the family emergency I've been experiencing. I'm still going to try, but don't expect too much. Sorry it has to be this way.

SCHAWING! Summer is here. No more school until September. That means plenty of time for posting and updating. Especially because summer also means sweet concerts every Sunday in a big field about half an hour away from where I live. Which means that I will have plenty to post about. So I will try my hardest to actually post in this guild. Sorry I had been MIA for so long.
