Halloween stood at the edge of a forest peering out at the plains before her that seemed to stretch on forever. They looked so inviting, the wind caused the tall green and tan grass to sway from side to side making it seem as though each blade of grass was dancing on a dance floor with its partner beside it. A sight to behold and Halloween was loving it. The urge to romp through the dancing grass was quickly becoming overwhelming. She stamped her foot on the ground and swung her head from side to side. Her hooves itched to feel the dirt and grass so badly but she didn't want to leave the protective forest.

 Up in the pale, white blue sky, a form drifted in lazy circles above a large, open plain of land. A long, red banner of a tail swirled in the wind, along with a short red mane. One leg was red, a hind one, making it look as though the stallion had stepped into a large pot of paint. The male circled a few more times, seeing no other Soquili, before circling down, light hooves touching the lush green grass, large wings fluttering a few more times before he landed fully and whickered happily. The plain was simple and lush, green and tan for miles around. There was a small stream to the side, which Tawali had noticed only briefly. Amazing cyan green eyes peered around a little. No other Soquili? Shame, he'd have liked to meet some of the others. Braided tail flicking his side, red tipped wings fluffing up before settling properly, Tawali considered his surroundings.
It seemed like the perfect place for Soquili to graze! Open air, plenty of lush grass, a stream, lots of space to run, either in fun or in fear. Tawali high stepped for a moment, forelegs drawing up into his chest before striding out. Bucking for a while, energy rippling through his body, Tawali settled and shook out his head and mane. His tattooed throat and flanks glintered in their blue colour, a contrast to the red and pale tan of his coat. Resting his left hind leg on the tip of the hoof, cyan green eyes looking around for a moment, Tawali chewed on some grass, deciding to ignore the rest of the world. Nice. All alone, no one to talk to. What a greeting! His green and cyan feathers whispered in the wind, and Tawali frowned. Damned things, they kept doing that. Changing the direction of his front end, Tawali stepped out of the wind, feathers and beads resting on his chest and in his tail.

Halloween's eyes widened as she spotted a flash of red in the sky she had seen winged Soquili's before and specifically met the one called Death. The very first Soquili she'd ever actually met. Perhaps this one was like Death. That would make it a joy to run with this Soquili it was always so much fun to run with a winged one they always made it difficult to keep up which made it a challenge. And she could never turn down a challenge.
She hesitated for a moment watching as the winged Soquili landed in the distance. For a moment she gazed longingly out to where the Soquili had landed and then made up her mind. Taking one slow step out into the grass she then took off seconds later in a full out run racing for the distance. She tore up the grass with her hooves as she ran sending blades of grass flying in her wake. It seemed like only a matter of moments before she came to a speeding hault in front of, not a mare, but a stallion. Caught by surprise her eyes widened and she snorted.

Tawali stopped eating for a moment, ears pricking forward at the sound of galloping hooves. He frowned, blood red eyebrows knitting at the sound, confusion evident in his cyan green eyes. Slowly raising his head, Tawali started as the sight of the full grown female, opening his wings and kicking off of the ground to avoid her crashing into him. He hovered a few feet above her, circling her a little, looking her over. She was certainly strange looking, and whatever she had been playing at, she seemed to have stopped her charging. Tawali snorted back at her, landing a little way away, cyan green eyes wary. "What did you think you was playing at, lady? You coulda killed me! My hearts going ninty to the gallon!" He looked her over now that he was on a level parr with her, noting her strangely feline appearance in colour, and where those whiskers, or was it just a play on the light? Tawali took a step back, his one red leg brushing against his braided tail, making his start forward, thinking there was another Soquili behind him. Laughing nervously, Tawali continued to trot around for a moment before stopping to the side of her, keeping his better eye trained on her, the left one being scared as it was.

Halloween eyed Tawali as he circled her in the air and watched him as he moved about nervously and finally stopp beside her. "I had it all under control." She replied as a grin appeared on her muzzle. "I can stop on a blade of grass and turn on a pebble. You were in no danger." Looking Tawali over as best she could Halloween noted his interesting markings very interesting indeed. Her whiskers twitched slightly in an involuntary motion as she pawed the ground with her front right hoof. "Got a name to go with those twitchy actions?"

Tawali ground his teeth at the mare, snorting in indigidnation. Who did she think she was, telling a Wind that she could do such things? Was she stupid, or just a little touched of mind. He tried to ignore those twitching whiskers, and instead twirled around, wanting to see if she could really do what she said, though stopping himself. It was impolite... Not that it usually bothered him though, he liked showing other Soquili up when they thought they could beat those of the Wind. "My name is Tawali, lady, and it will do you good to remember it!" He struck a pose, front hooves together neatly, the back legs set in a racing stance, head high, a grin to his scarred face. Cyan green eyes twinkled with mischief, and he shook out his blood red mane, stepping around the mare, judging how fast she could really go. "And you, lady?"

Halloween stepped back as Tawali twirled around. An odd one this wind was and looked like someone she could irritate easily if she wanted. She would have to keep that in mind if he got on her nerves she'd have to return the gesture.
Halloween eyed Tawali with an unamused gaze as he struck his 'I'm all that' pose. 'Idiot.' Halloween thought to herself as her expression went from unamused to bored. "Halloween." She replied simply as she shook her head to remove the pestering fly from her ear. "Interesting name... Tawali."

 Tawali raised an eyebrow at her name and returned to a relaxed posture. Halloween? And many though HIS name was strange! What on earth did her name mean? Frowning a little as he mulled it over, he almost missed her comment on his name, though he grinned and shook out his wings with a rustle of feathers.
"Tawali is Cherokee for Wild, lady! Not a better word to describe me, except maybe 'Nudalehnav', or perhaps 'Ulilohi'. Yes, definately the second!" He grinned and waggled his ears back and forth, wondering if she understood the Cherokee language. He smirked and looked coyly at the mare. "Yet Halloween... What does that mean, pray tell me lady."
