A screenshot is basically what it sounds like. It's a picture of everything on your screen excluding the cursor. This tool is usually used to used to take pictures of peoples accomplishments or anything humorous.

Instructions
Step 1: When you are ready to take a screenshot, locate the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. This button can be found on the right side of your keyboard, next to either f12 or backspace and on the top row above the arrow keys. Be warned that pressing this will take up whatever you had last copied.

Step 2: Open Microsoft Paint, which can be found by clicking start at the bottom leftside of your screen, than "All Programs", and last accessories. For furture quick use of paint, click and hold down on the icon and drag it out onto your desktop.

Step 3: Now that paint is open, go to File and click paste or simply press ctrl+v on your keyboard. Your image should appear in the white box.

Step 4: Most of the time images will contain outside stuff you dont want to appear on your screenshot so you will want to "Crop" your image. Cropping means to basically delete the area around your screenshot you don't want. First you should box and copy the area you want to appear in your screenshot and paste it in a new paint document. Close the area around the screenshot by clicking and holding the little grey squares outside of the picture (See picture below for help). Now save the picture and put it in a place you can easly track it down. It is highly recommend that people save their pictures as .PNG because it have the same quality as .BMP but .PNGs are a lot smaller in file size. Also, Never save images as .JPG, it reduces the quality

III. Hosting
What is hosting?
Hosting is the proccess of uploading a image saved on your computer to the internet. This is one step away from getting your picture on a website.

Instructions
Step 1: Find a hosting site that you can upload your images on. Two good sites are http://imageshack.us/ (no registering required) and http://photobucket.com/ (registering required). We will use imageshack in this guide because it's easier than photobucket.

Step 2: Once on the site click the "Browse" button and find your picture. Click open and than the "Host It" button on the website. Wait paciently for the image to load.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Step 3: If your upload was successful, you will get a screen with something like this.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

If not than you will get a screen like this

Step 4: After successful upload, highlight and copy the link in the "Direct Link to Image" field. Be careful not to replace the link with anything else or you will have to retrieve the link again. To find the URL (link) on other pictures, right click on it and click properties at the bottom. Copy the URL and paste it where you want the image.

IV. Forum Posting
In this chapter I will explain how to post an image on a forum, your signature, and avatar.

Instructions

Signature - Open up your signature menu. Click on IMG at the top menu and paste the link into the pop up window.

Forum - Open a new post or topic and click on IMG at the top menu and paste the link into the pop up window. Basically the same as the signature.
