Hot, heat lightning was flashing in the distance. The sparks played across her white fur in faint tints of violet in a blink of the eye, and her head was arched towards the sky in patient waiting for a rain that was unlikely to come. She could feel it in the air, tickling her whiskers and stroking her unusual white fur. Thick and heavy- but it wasn’t enough. Not yet, at least, to bring rain.
Kaanga finally lowered her head, a faint stiffness grasping her neck. “Aw...” She droned softly to herself and rubbed her snout with the end of her paw, sniffing faintly. “Kaanga is sad.” The odd firekin retorted to the nothingness, and as if in response, another crackle of heat lightning sent her scurrying past one of the ridged briars.
She was a lean creature; and despite what Ashki had went on about her state of royalty, meandering around the outskirts of the pride hardly seemed like something a princess ought to be doing. She couldn't imagine what sort of strange pride he'd come from...and yet, she wanted to. It would be nice, for a change.
Her ears perked forward, and a grin crossed her face as if she had forgotten everything prior to this. Although what it was about, probably even Kaanga did not know.

Azula yawned as she moved along at the border of the land. Other than that brief pause the only time her red eyes faultered was when she took a sideways glance towards the hot-flashes in the distance. So far she'd seen nothing of particular intrest, but had yet to wander further into the lands she now knew to be "home", well... as close to home as it could be thanks to her mother's decision to raise her in the wilds of the rogue-lands. Where the firekin's thoughts were beyond that was unknown to anyone attempting to guess.
She just happened to rounded the briars at the same time as the little princess did, but didn't seem to notice the cub until it might be too late. Besides, it wasn't as if the child could have hurt Azula, who was more than twice her size. All that Azula wanted at the moment, was to familiarize herself with the outskirts of the land. She needed to know how far they extended before she considered wandering...

The cub seemed almost unaware that she was very close to being stepped on until a gust of wind brought her head upwards. Another flicker of lightning, and she caught sight of the female padding forward towards her. The other creature’s eyes seemed distracted, and sheepishly, Kaanga skirted out of the way.
Once she had passed however, the moment of reprieve from the white firekin had ended. Quickly she scampered forward, and began to walk alongside the other female’s paws. “Hi!” She called, her tail bouncing behind her. “I’m Kaanga!”
She seemed to keep walking, and Kaanga flattened her ears sheepishly. “Where are you going...?”

Azula offered no immediate answer, though she'd most certainly heard the other's inquiry. She did give pause, however, ears flickering curiously as she gazed over the young one. She had a curious pelt color for a Firekin (if she was one), from what her mother used to tell her. A familiar scent also perked her intrest, causing something to register in Azula's mind. She knew this child, or at least her parents.
"No where in particular, young one. But what are you doing so far from your mother and father...?"
Ah, yes, that was it, it was the king's scent, Kimeti. This young female must be one of the princesses.

The small female giggled softly, and perked her ears forward. “Hee- well, Kaanga’s mum and dad don’t mind much where Kaanga goes.” Well, actually- they probably would have preferred she vanished more then she did. “I don’t go too far.” The little girl remarked, walking rather boldly underneath the female, and making a figure eight between her legs.
“I don’t think Kaanga is missed much, always busy. My daddy is king, you know. Brothers and sisters always too busy for Kaanga.” She purred rather haphazardly. If being on the alone side was an issue for Kaanga, she didn’t seem to let it show.
“And you? Who are you?” Her head aligned upwards, staring at the female. “Not another of Kaanga’s aunts?” She hadn’t yet quite...memorized them all.
