Umo walked in a slow stupor. How could hunting have been so difficult? He blinked his crimson eyes slowly as the rain fell hard upon his back. It had begun to pour steadily for a few hours now; and he had traveled for a distance; like he used too when he was young. He had promised he would bring back something other than frogs; which Kikawaida; his mate, was used too so much. He looked solemly in all directions, hoping that a tree or perhaps a cave could shelther his bulk.. He shook, only succeeding in sending more droplets in random directions rather than down. If only he had stayed at the swamps with Kika and Kinamasi; his daughter. Perhaps the rain would end? He had always disliked water... he remembered when he had started staying at the swamplands part time with his mate. He had done a rather embarasing tip-toed walk when he went through the marshy swamplands. Now, he trudged through it... though he still knew not how to swim. He prefered to keep his head dry, but now with his dark mane in his eyes; he decided he hated water; for this time being. He tredged on; his tail hanging heavily.

Rain brought less then dampened spirits to another lion whom trudged the roads, though the young Yua'lopoka continually paused now and then, looked up towards the sky for a moment, as if looking for something, before crinkling his nose again and shaking his head. From a glance, one would almost think he was having a conversation with himself.Almost.
It wasn't like he was an insane lion whom talked and 'attacked' entities that no other entities besides himself was able to see.. right? However, that was indeed the case. Yua.. had indeed a 'knack' for being insane, in that he was a firm believer that he was able to see (and furthermore; SPEAK to) the spirits of those whom had passed on ahead to their next existance. But not all whom he had met had the same 'knack' of such things, and it left him with the label of "He speaks nonsense" back home.
However, this was not on his mind at the moment as he trudged through the damp grasses of the savannah. In fact, he was convinced right then that if he could perhaps get it to somehow STOP. FREAKING. RAINING. the ghost ( yes, that imagined up one right there... ) would stop looming over his head. But as well as such.... his ability to imagine up the spirit above his head was the only 'ability' he had. No 'magical staff of weather' to wave about and stop the heavens above from pouring down their liquid of spiritual annoyance.
Clicking his tongue a bit, the young adolescent sat himself down and crinkled his nose again at the space over his shoulder. ".......... You make me wish it would stop raining." he grumbled, un-aware that another nearby, might take it was a comment made towards him.

Umo kicked his back foot restlessly; flinging mud in all directions. Good thing he was already a dark color in the first place. Kikaiwaida would make him wash before she'd let him lay beside her and Kina. At least he had this thought to brighten the already dampened mood the rain fell down upon his head. He snorted his nose; annoyed by his mane that clung to him... annoyed by this rain... annoyed. He almost wished he hadn't gone. He hadn't seen a single prey... he was getting sore...
and some stranger was talking. He turned his head to see anouther wet-bed-raggled looking male alone... who kept giving looks over his shoulder. He blinked his eyes individually. The rain water was running down one side of his face. To think; the only time these lands really rained. Umo had to be out. He shook his mane; sending anouther awkward shower everywhere. "Wh-what?" He said startled, quietly to himself before saying louder; hopefully so the other would hear over the rain. "What are you talking about?" he asked, steping sideways so his side was to the stranger.

It seemed as soon as the other lion had caught his words, Yua had registered that in all the dark air around him, there was indeed a darkly colored lion in his presence... and the quip at the ghost had totally just gone as a comment at him, as opposed to it's proper target AKA Casper over there.
Making a small expression that spelt distaste, if anything, he eyed Umo suspiciously, as if looking for something, before grinning like a cub who'd just found a storage of chase-able critters whom scattered on sight, and they were torn between which to follow. Rising up, he trotted over to the other lion, his ears flattening back against his mane, as a look of consideration came over his face.
"I knew it... all this rain'll make the spirits latch to the closest warm body.." he announced, lifting a paw and pointing to the air around the elder lion, as if pointing at something that, apparently, he was supposed to see.
"Y'see 'em? They're gonna stick t'you until it stops raining..." he explained, then pointed the same paw over his own shoulder in a matter-of-fact way. "I have my own straggler following me..." again, the crusty look over his shoulder at the empty space that was now, apparently, inhabited by a being of the other-side.

Umo took a moment to watch this young male. just as curious as the stranger was. He blinked his crimson eyes; looking rather irritatedly at a chunk of mane that was hanging in his face. He swung his head jerkingly, making the irritiating mane move. He blinked slowly. Why was that fellow looking all around himself like there were birds floating around him. He looked around himself curiously; looking over at the stranger. What the heck. Spirits?
"What do you mean 'latch too the closest warm body?' He asked, looking left then right with a confused look on his face. He had heard Kikawaida; his mate talk to and about the spirits... but... she never really dotted on them. He blinked again and shook his head. Darn this rain. He shook again; only to watch his fur fall back into its slick state.
"I do not see them." He said flatly; not because he was rude but because he spoke in Monotone [[Completly forgot... so just pretend he has been all along. XD My bad]]. He looked around again, his eyebrow arched. "Someone is following you?" He asked; not helping but notice the odd markings this stranger had.

Yua made a slight face at the repeated actions the other made as he shook his head, attempting to get the water out of his fur. However, Umo's actions instead worked rather charmingly in only getting the already soaked boy furtherly dampened. Using his 'pointer paw' to brush back the top of his mane, he made an expression somewhat akin to 'oh, so you're one of THOSE lions'.
"I mean it how it sounds... many beings out in the rain feel cold or down because spirits swarm them in an attempt to get warmth from their body." he explained, placing his paw down again, before turning and starting a walk around the muddy and wet rogue, his expression one of interest, as indeed, Yua wasn't the only one with anything 'exceptional' about his appearence, and the almost... plain appearence of this one seemed to be something he'd never seen before.
Stopping in front of him, Yua grinned widely, as everything he said made perfect sense to him, and as any good little insane lion-boy would do, he believed that as well, this stranger would make the same sense of his mince-meat words.
"Not all who look will see them... I've learned that much, at least..." he commented, nodding, before jerking a paw at the empty space he kept looking at. "Right there is another spirit of the same sort that swarms even you now... you may not see him.. but he's giving me a funny look." As if to emphasize this, Yua mimicked this 'look' he was apparently getting.
"Odds ones, they are.."

Umo could not help but feel like this youngster was... acting as though he were better than himself. Though that was absurd; since one nor the other lion was higher than each other. He blinked slowly, not sure if he should be frightened by what this boy was saying about spirits. His tail twitched flicking water behind himself. He did not like how this stranger was circling him; he could feel the fur on his back rise against the cold rain... only to fall down again at the lions cheesy grin. "Well, I see nothing... but you know whats odd. My mate speaks of Spirits often. You almost sound like her... only she speaks diffrently."
He curled his tail around his back, flicking the tip as he shook his head less forcefully so that he would not get water on the other; with his funky mane and odd markings. Course, Umo had a few swirl patterns but this strangers entire appearance was startling.
