As most people have their inspirational instrumentalists, some tend to sound alot like them. Who is your instrumental role model, and, do you sound like them? or do you have your own sound?
Myself, I look to Ben Ellman and Stan Getz for inspiration, but I'd say that druing my practice sessions or solos, I seem to have my own defined sound coupled with Getz's.

I'd have to say some mix of Charlie Parker and Sonny Stitt... But even then, it is only basic similarity at best...

I know on alto I sound a lot like Cannonball Adderley and Kenny Garret. On Tenor I tend to lean towards the Michael Brecker/ John Coltrane sound with a little bit of Chris Potter.

i have tons of idols and role models, but my sound and style is pretty different from those who i admire. i would bore you all with naming the wonderful musicians whom i look up to, but lets just say i have my own sound and style. i'll leave the comparing to people who've heard me play.

My sound varies from whoever i'm usually listening to at the time. I havent totally developed a true sound all my own yet. Still you can be the judge from listening to my solos on When You're Smilin and Spain, first solo in on Spain.

But I love your sound

Idk about Coltrane, he has THAT distinct sound. You hear it and you think, "Hey, is this Coltrane?" Well, it could be Wayne Shorter. That's why I don't really like him so much.
Anyway, HornFreak sounded a lot like Cannonball on his alto, to me.
