Jamaa's Hunting 'Classes' can only teach 2 pups at a time (more if the owners have them). This is because Jamaa gets nervious when he is surrounded by pups, just wait until he has a litter. Students - Posting Order After Jamaa 1.Demani 2.Tahupotiki
The Process 1.Stealth - Tall Grass (Jamaa) 2.Pouncing - Rock litter field (Topas) 3.Running - Race (Goma) 4.Holding on to - Wrestling (Jamaa) 5.Team Work - Take down Jamaa, Topas, and Goma. Jamaa will teach them the necessities and will teach them the fundimentals. After teaching all the pups (others who were taught by another are excluded) he will get more detailed with Jamaa's own complex tatical tricks. 1. The Tall Grass Field is just that, a field of tall grass. It moves with the wind and russle with movement. There are is a large mound of rocks on one side and a large slanted boulder towards the middle. The tall grass is a rusty color around this time of year and does well with Jamaa's coat, the target.
2. A field a little ways from the pack lands. The field is littered with thousands of rocks and boulders. There are even more holes all around the field that were dug up from Topas, the ratel and target.
3. Just a simple race. From the Pack's den to where Jamaa says to stop, also known as where he is sitting. Clear savannah, no rocks, trees, or bumps, simple flatlands. Goma is the one to be beaten, luckily he is slow due to his laziness.
4. Simple, flatland terrain. Keep on paw on Jamaa for a minute.
5. Flatlands, Tall Grass Field, and Rock Field. Simple hold down each target. Use terrain to advantage.

The tall male led the two boys out into the fields where it was good to train and close enough to the Pack Lands if something were to happen. Jamaa looked down at the two pups. Ironically, Dhati had given his own sons to him to train. Should he take it easy on them and slowly teach them or work them hard.....work them hard.
"Alright, Poki, Demani. Get in line. I want you to do as I say and do it well because if not then you may never see your little sister again." he said, a little erk in his heart when he spoke about her. "See that grass over there? It is tall, it is thick. Hide in it and I will come find you. Here your object is to sneak to me and get me. Understood?" he said loudly and commandingly....he hated it deep down, telling others what to do. It wasn't right.
He stared at the two, "Go!"

Poki followed Jamaa out to the field. Suposedly, it was training day, and Poki had to go. Of course, he didn't object. He just sat down next to Demani as Jamaa had asked and waited for the lesson to beguin.
'Hiding in the tall grass?' Tahupotiki thought. 'That isn't hard. I do that all the time when hunting bugs!' He made a grin and a low purring sound as understanding. When Jamaa gave the word, he ran off into the tall grass and stealthful hid.
His spot gave him a clear vantage point for spoting Jamma. Knooked between a ditch in the ground and a small boulder, Poki layed low, his belly only brushing the ground beneth him. His ears perked, he waited for Jamaa.

Demani knew that his little sister had disappeard he was rather mad and confused about the situation but when Jamaa spoke to hima nd his brother he listend. Adults wasn't always fun to listen too but Jamaa was like his dad and he was wise..
When the little pup heard they where gonna train he perked his ears and listend to what Jamaa had to say " Oh hiding! i can do that " he waved his tail and grinned and looked at his brother they both was those who couldn't sit still and always was on new adventures so this couldn't be so hard.
He followed his brother and made a little jump into the highgrass and hid not far from his brother but far enough so he could get space. He pressed his tummy, paws and chin to the ground and concentrated his eyes and waited for Jamaa.

Jamaa watched as the little pups disappeared. He counted to a few tens to give them some time to hide well. Though, he was their "father" and he knew some of their hunting tatics that they use occasionally.
Poki was always hunting and playing with bugs. He always stayed low and kept his eyes on the target. He usually came from behind. Demani was more of the complex type. Jamaa just had to use his knowledge and give these two a little run for their money.
The adult grinned as he silently stalked into the tall grass. Demani would be the first for the muddy male to go for. Demani had a strange color and was a little easier to find. Poki would be similar with his golden fur. Jamaa just had to keep his senses opened up and wait for either to make a mistake.....or make one himself.
Step by step, inch by inch, Jamaa crept along, completely aware of where his paws went, where any loose rocks were, and where he should go. Suddenly something under his paw moved. Jamaa pulled up his paw to see a little black head staring back at him. "Topas!" he growled in a low voice, "What are you doing here!?"
"What? A friend can't visit his friend?" he said rather loudly. This ratel was loud enough to be heard all around, he was giving away Jamaa's position!

Thankfuly, Poki did not let his mind wander to the little bugs that were wondering around near him. Most of them were just to small to give a care about. And so, he slowly scooted forward, watching the waves of the tall grass so not to give off his position by making the grass turn a different way then the wind was blowing it.
He scooted on his belly, ears perked and eyes alert to what was around him. He could hear Jamaa, as he was talking to something...Topas? TOPAS!
Poki liked Topas. He changed direction and started to fall back and to the side so to come up behind the pair, just like Jamaa had expected him too do. But Now that Jamaa was distracted by Topas, it was a perfect time stalk from behind till the time was right. Poki slipped into another ditch in the ground and stayed put once in position.

Demani didn't seem bored and he wasn't distracted either he never cared about the bugs but he looked a little frustrated when he heard Jamaa suddenly talking to someone who could that be?
Hm no he shouldn't be thinking off what Jamaa's friend could be he should maybe try a sneak attack but from what direction? he use to be smart on these things when he didn't had to think it use to happen natrually for him..
He pressed his green body closer to the ground and then he took some small steps to the side trying to slowley sneaking up either from the side off Jamaa or the back..

"Topas, get out of here. I am in the middle of pack duties." he whispered, but with a serious tone. Perhaps this could work to his advantage, Jamaa grabbed Topas and carried him off. He needed this to work and if it does, Demani and Poki will learn something.
Quickly Jamaa paced to find a good place to lay low. Coming by a rock he hid under it and waited. One minute, two minutes, three minutes. Time passed and he didn't move as the ratel squirmed in his maw. It was about time to pull it off. With a quick jerk of the dog's neck, he threw the honey badger far from him. He was a simple distraction to get the pups out of hiding and go for him. Meanwhile, Jamaa will be close behind and be able to catch them. It was foolproof.
"Cor blimey!" the ratel shouted as he landed with a thud. He was just picked up and tossed by his friend in the middle of a tall grassed area. "What the boody hell was that fer you dult!" he shouted back, sitting on his rear. He had no clue what was going on. His fur was a mess, he was going to see Jini later. Topas started to clean himself as he grumbled under his breath.

Poki's ears twisted and turned in those few minutes when Jamaa had gone silent and ran off with Topas. He was waiting... waiting... Just like he did when he was stalking a bug, he waited for it to make the move before he pounced. It seemed that Jamma was.... using Topas some how..
Topas' sounds carried from one area, Poki's eyes shifted upward but he kept down. Then came the thud. Topas was thrown? By his rantings, it seems so. Where did he come from? Just.. a little that way, yes? Poki decided so.
He came up from his little ditch he had hid in, slowly he moved to his right and forward, to where Topas had been thrown. Jamaa had to be there. If it was not for Jamaa's own rules that he and his brother were after him, Poki would have gone to the little Ratel to eat the bugs off of him.

Demani started to think all this just felt weird why should they do this training? sure it was good for the future but he was more confused over thinking about his sister gone missing..
There was still things he couldn't understand like why? he had started to feel unsure off himself tha latest days. He shoke his head and tried to focus oh what was that? oh the poor friend off Jamaa got thrown away she with that Demani got unfocused turning his head in that direction..
He had to become stronger for the future he hadn't time to be silly now not like he had been most off the time being alive this was a serious situation and he had to get serious he could play later..

Jamaa waited, one minute, two minutes, three have gone by. That was about enough time for the pups to head to the ratel and the perfect time for him to get them. They'll have to learn to keep their attention on the prize. The adult rose to his feet and quietly stalked the tall grass until he came upon the black ratel. "Topas?" he whispered. His eyes darted left and right, where were Poki and Demani!?
Jamaa looked around, had he moved too soon? If this was a real hunt, then he would have failed. Quickly he darted around and headed back to the large rock that sheltered him just moments before. If he was able to get there in a good time, he could just hope that the pups still take the bait. If not then he just raised their chances of finding him.

It was too late for Poki's father. Poki had been down wind, thankfuly, of the older Male. And as he stalked past to go to Topas, Poki got into position. He's thinking was Jamaa is going to Yummy Topas. He thinks I'm there? When I'm not he will come back to his spot and wait? Yes... So he hid low in the yellow grass, thankful of his color.
Then he heard Jamaa slowly coming back, very quietly. Poki felt his body tighten, if he was seen, he was over. But it didn't look like Jamaa saw him.
Jamaa came closer, and Poki pounced, like he had once done with Topas. A small purr-like rawr came from the silent wild dog as he landed on Jamaa with a thud.
Gotcha! he thought with a smile. Then he fell to the dirt with an 'oof' because he didn't get a good hold on Jamaa.

The green colored wild dog was going trough a teenage/adult crise while training that wasn't good at all but that was how he felt all these emotions was bugging his head. But suddently he heard his brother jumping out to get Jamaa and Topas was somewhere else god why was he so unfocused?
No Demani! what did you learn when meeting that stupid hyena trying to eat him hmm when he started to think off what he learned that time his brain started to act in wild reflection off surviving. He sneaked around so quitly as he could he knew he was comming up behind Jamaa now and when he was all busy with Poki and trying to see where his friend Topas was he saw his chance and made a big jump from his hiding position and went for a bite at Jamaa's trought while jumping he almost looked like a adult he definetly matured the last weeks. But would he miss Jamaa? no he couldn't this was bulletproof.

Jamaa was too distracted to even notice Demani was even near him. Only when he saw the growing shadow did he turn his attention. "AH!" he cried before being bowled over by his son. Actually, that sort of hurt more than necessary. The adult moved away from the growing dogs, "I guess we should move on to the next lesson."
Just then the ratel popped out of the ground between the three and looked up at the three. "Is it my turn, buddy?" he asked in his strange accent before slipping out of the ground completely, shaking off dirt from his fur. "I'm ready when you all are." Jamaa nodded and motioned the three to follow him to the Rock Field.
~
Jamaa sat himself down in a field clusted with boulders and rocks. In some places there were holes, oddly. They seemed old and worn, a colony of meekats once lived here before leaving to another suitable place. Now it was abandoned.
"Alright boys, now it is time for all of ya to get going. The objective is to grab Topas by jumping at him. Use what you know from the last lesson and apply it here. Careful since some of these rocks hide holes under them so that means he'll be harder to catch. Jamaa believes you all can do it." The copper brown dog smiled. "Oh, and Topas will be using these tunnels to get around, so yeah. His body won't be above ground much so good luck to ya."
Topas grinned and quickly hopped off into one of the hundreds of holes.
