I was thinking the same thing... But if he DOES finish them... I dunno. I've always hated Character Profiles and Story-Thus-Fars...that would mean that I think I have some idea of what the comic is about, so I wouldn't read every single strip. Usually, I don't know as much as I thought.

yeah, those character pages I've long since concluded are a foregone effort just up there to keep people who are new to the comic mailing him saying "oh! you know what you should do?! a character page would be really awesome for informing people who are new like me so we can read the new stuff and have it make sense before we get around to going back and read the archives later."

I remember in a "Nani Naze Megatokyo" panel him saying "there won't ever be a 'plot thus far' link" b/c he wants people to read the archives instead of a quick synopsis.
It's also smart move b/c you gain more readers that way since they would have a vested interest in the comic after reading through it.

Still, the "Story" and "Character" links are still up there... Maybe just for decor?

Characters and story thus far links would take the fun out of it, really. When I first started reading it, I think there were maybe 500 some comics and I just started from the begining.

yeah, I went back to the first page and read them all when I first started reading them. It was nice. For almost a month I'd come home from school and read another bunch of pages before I had to get off the computer so the demoness (little sister) could get on. I think mostly those buttons are just there because emo doesn't feel like taking them off. It's like, they're too insignifigant to matter, they're not enough of a problem to be worth the effort of removal though long since forsaken.

Not so much anymore.

I would have done so too if I could have I'm sure, but I had school and had to share the computer and the computer was in my parents bedroom so nobody could ever stay on past 10pm because my mom is always tired early. emo

how'd I survive? Quite simply, I didn't. When your dead though, it's all so much easier to deal with. *nods sagely*

haha, There wasn't much in the archive when I started reading MT- took me about two days of pacing myself to read it all. Wow I feel old.
