sorry, not much of a dancer. i got rythm but no actual dance moves to speak of.....which is odd and causes much riddle amost my family because cubans are apparently the greatest dancers. xp
anyway! where did you learn to dance like that? is it for a job or for fun?

I don't dance very well at all. I have an inner ear problem that screws with my balance...but if there was one talent I wish I had, dancing would be it. I LOVE to dance but I don't do it too much. I just feel carried away by music sometimes. I sing and I have acted in plays...but I don't dance well. I would be a dancer if I had the talent for it. It is so sensual and emotional...feels really good too. Great excercise...but I suck.... crying

I do. I do ballet and some hip hop. It's the only form of exercise save horseback riding that I absolutely love. It takes me a little longer than others to get the moves just right, but once I do, I'm fine. It's gotten me into good shape and it's a lot of fun. I dread the day my class ends. I'll have to find somewhere closer to where I'll be living for college to take another.
And I'm intending to pick up an instructional video and/or book on belly dancing. Always wanted to, and my fiance really likes the idea.

i've been fat forever so, i learned how to dance around all the extra Jade-ness..
people say i'm pretty good at it.. i do have a smal hinderance because of ankle surgery, but i can still pick up most dances on music videos..
i still only dance when no one's looking though sweatdrop

Well, I started bellydancing at home because I felt self-concious, and then recently I've joined a performing group - for me it's just a hobby - something fun to do and I can sew pretty costumes.
If you want to learn, I suggest the Basic Bellydance Moves by Neena and Veena - actually any of their bellydance tapes are pretty good (except for fat burning, that one will give you nasty shinsplints).
I too love teh DDR - I've got the PS1 megamix thing. And I used to PWN the DDR clone they had at the local nickel arcade, except they sold it sad
I recently found out about a club in SLC with a 90s night, but I have nobody to take me (my hubby doesn't/can't dance), and no way in heck would I go alone.
