Story: In the future, mankind has slowly dispersed itself around the the solar system. However, with the vast space of humankind, police have had a hard time keeping people in check and most of the solar system has fallen into decay, though they are a few shining jewels of civilization have survived. Now, in a space port near Mars, a few intrepid souls have crossed paths and starting a chain of events that could change the fate of mankind.

Appearance: He is the perfect build of the stereotypical nerd. He's skinny and short, with large glasses that have a nasty habit of slipping off his face. He wears simple pants and t-shirt, his brown, scraggly hair tied back with a head band.
Personality:Quite dorky, there's nothing more enjoyable to him then reading comic books and playing video chess. He's a sweet kid, but can be quite cunning, using his intelligence to get what he wants.
Quick Bio: A space pirate from Earth, he is mild mannered enough when not attempting to hijack some loot from a ship. Most people underestimate him because of his appearance and personality, but he's one of the most notorious pirates in the solar system. His first love is his space ship, the Kraken, which he believes harbors the soul of a sea beast.

Personality: Flirty, cruel, deceptive, condescending
Quick Bio: Yatheia is an assassin, trained from a young age to be so. Treated badly by her mother, kindly by her father, and as a toy by her teacher, she has been mixed up emotionally for most of her life. She knows a wide variety of ways to cripple, injure, and kill. However, she is far too overconfident. She is known to sleep around quite a bit, although for reasons of her own, prefers not to have taken men or women. Not entirely human, her ears are pointed, eyes slanted, and fingers and limbs too long. As for weapons, she primarily uses twin daggers, but also has a small handgun. Her ship, The Nightshade, is small, but packs quite a punch in combat with it's powerful agility and weaponry.

Personality: She's sweet, child-like and innocent. Her appearance and behavior would never hint at her true age. However, she can break out in violent outburts.
Quick Bio: Not really having a definite home, she's lived in lots of places and recently escaped from the circus where she was a sideshow freak. Her true past is a question. Is she an alien? A mutant? An experiment?
Either way, she needs a home and friendship.

Yatheia stepped out of her ship, The Nightshade, and stretched, glad to be out of the cramped space. She had been sent to the space port to deal a warning blow to a certain drug lord who had crossed the path of her employer, a job for which she was to be paid handsomely.

"No need to hurry about," she said to her ship as she leaned against it, smoking a cigarette.

A man approached her. "Excuse me, Miss, but we don't allow smoking in here."

She sneered, took a drag on the cigarette, and blew a puff of smoke in his direction. "Very well." Another long drag, and she tossed the still lit cigarette to him. As he fumbled and dropped it, she walked past him into the space port's main plaza.

Walking towards the cafe, Yatheia glanced at the boy and gave him a big smile. She approached the counter, stepping ahead of the people waiting in line. Ignoring the yells from the indignant people now behind her, she bent over and rested her folded arms on the counter and ordered. "Gimme a bottle of sodie pop, girly," she said with a wink and a grin to the girl working there. The girl grimaced, but soon handed over a bottle. Yatheia reached a hand into the top of her shirt and pulled out a coin purse, out of which she drew a credit card.

Finished with the purchase, she walked away, taking a swig of her drink. She seemed, for the moment, to take no further notice of the boy.

The small black with green, glowing-striped space pod hurtled into the space port, making no signs of stopping or even slowing down. Leda sat calmly for the most part, randomly mashing buttons every now and then in attempted to regain control of the machine.

"'Flawless!' they said. 'The best we have! It can take you across the universe and back!' Yeah right!" She muttered some more to herself as the pod came speeding faster and faster to the port. "At least I won't die."

Europans were experts in building protective ships. They might not have been perfect in control and power, but they were as close to crash-proof as they could have possibly been.

The ship impacted with a dull thud and the door automatically flew open. Leda stepped out and inspected the outside of her pod, watching a small crack creep upward from the impact spot and grow, creating tributaries, more and more until the pod finally disintergrated.

"Oh come on!" Leda's palm met her forehead with a soft smack. She looked around at a few others, gawking at the current events, before grinning coyly. "It's broken..."

Leda crouched down, digging through the rubble until she found what looked like a small remote control. "Ah, there you are." She stood and turned, coming face to face with a human boy.

"Oh! Umm.. Hi. I hope it didn't disturb you," she said, pointing at the rubble then, looked back at the boy, giving him and innocent look. Her eyes were almost completely black except for the fact that they were full of stars.

Leda tilted her head and pouted, "Hey wait!" she called out. Had her appearance really been that different? She never thought of herself as a monster. She'd seen quite a few of them and she knew she was no monster. "Don't go!" she called out softly, taking a few steps after him. She had hoped that he could offer her some help.

"I guess I'll have to find someone else then." Leda didn't want to send signal home yet, saying that she was now shipless and stranded in a strange place. It wasn't her fault the ship broke down, but her parents would give her a talking anyway. And she preferred to avoid those.

She levitated an inch or so above the ground and floated about, searching for a friendly face, someone who'd offer her a ride until she was ready to phone hom or could sell her an inexpensive, but working ship that she could use temporarily.

Leda grinned a big, friendly smile, showing off her pale green teeth. "So you don't think I'm scary? Yay!" She let her feet touch the ground and stood before the human man to explain her situation.

"Well, my ship stopped working as soon as I got into this atmosphere and it zoomed real fast and wouldn't stop and then it crashed, but it's built tough so it won't explode or anything and then it opened up and I got out but it crumbled and now I have no way to go anywhere," she said it all in one breath with a bit of a childish charm.
"I'm not really going anywhere in particular, but I'd like to be somewhere. I mean, here is somewhere, but I don't want to be here forever. I just want to go places." She blinked and paused, hoping he followed her train of thought. "Do you get what I'm saying?"
